This is one of the shops in the State House Square food court. Salads and sandwiches for lunch time. I’ve had good service and pretty good sandwiches. Close to where I work so it’s convenient.

I just had the worst falafel ever here! I don’t know what was so bad about it, the fact that I paid $ 9 for it or the gross mushy excuse for a falafel they are pretending to serve here. There are no redeeming qualities about this sandwich. The falafels a are reheated mess and the heated wrap turned the lettuce into a soggy stringy mush. What a waste of $ 9.

Had lunch here today and had the chicken salad wrap — believe it was called the Waldorf. Tortilla/pocket was dry, chicken was on the dry side. Guess it was ok. Probably will check out the other restaurant options next time.

eh… it’s okay. This place is just okay. It’s a bit pricey for what you get and the food is just so-so. I ordered a gyro, but ended up with a chicken gyro. There was a decent amount of grilled chicken, but whatever runny white sauce they use really soggy’ed up my pita. I think my gyro + bottle of water came out to be a little over 10 bucks. Nothing really stood out, but all I remember was the mess I had to deal with while eating this thing. A little about my credentials: I first got into cooking & food when I was in college. After being rejected by numerous girls and getting zero action, I decided it was time for a change. I needed a new makeover to boost my geeky image. I applied for a cooking position at a Mediterranean-Italian Restaurant near my home and learned to cook all sorts of dishes. I never became a professional chef, but I continue to enjoy & love food. 9 years later and 55 lbs heavier, I have a new passion for traveling and trying different foods around the world.

Mediocre Wraps. Not a great value, the staff was nice, my stomach doesnt feel great, there are other places to eat in the food court. *Environmental side note: they use styrofoam cups for soda. WEAK

Another mediocre place in a food court. The wraps use pita instead of the thin wraps and it just shows. The prices are high for what you get and the quality really varies. The salads are not bad if you make your own. But still, for the price, it’s just not the best value. Plus the staff is so-so. Quite simply: There are other choices for lunch downtown.

Went for lunch on Thursday. I cant remember the name of the wrap i hadn’t had feta, chicken, hummas, olives, lettuce, tomatoes etc. It was actually very good, fresh, but there are a couple of reasons i am only giving it 3 stars. 1: yes, i know this place is called«mega» wraps but it was TOO big, and i actually had to use a fork. Additionally, i think its very pricey. of course, you get alot of food but i don’t want that much food for lunch. 2: on the menu, they list a Junior wrap. I asked for that, and the person who was waiting on me said we don’t have that. I said but the menu says you do, and her response was«its wrong… i haven’t updated it» She really was rather rude..

This place has definitely gone downhill. Their food used to be fresh and tasty, but recently they’ve gotten sloppy and I’ve actually stopped going there. Last time I got a wrap it was 90% lard from the bacon. Actually the funniest thing was when one of the girls working there quit in the middle of making my wrap… she just threw it away and walked out(not because of me, she had a disagreement with the manager). They were really nice about making it again for me, but I just thought it was funny. There are a lot of better options in the food court, or around Hartford(petit chef is one of my favorites).

A solid three stars. Very busy at lunch, and they seem to have a hard time keeping up. The food is good though — I’ve never had a bad wrap.

Mega Wraps is an awesome place, but I think a horrible fit for a food court in downtown Hartford. It would probably be a better fit for somewhere like West Hartford Center or Evergreen Walk. All their food options are great, however they make everything completely fresh as you order it. When I go there for breakfast I can get a delicious wrap with egg, cheese and hash browns for $ 4.50. It’s definitely very good, the only issue is they cook every since thing fully as I order it. This usually translates into killing 45 minutes between ordering, making and eating. I normally do not have that much time to spend on breakfast. This would however be the type of place I would love on a weekend, when I had more time. During lunch their vegetarian options are very limited(except for salad wraps which I don’t like). Additionally similar to breakfast since everything is fresh it takes forever. The cheapest thing I can get there is about $ 8, which is way more than I typically am willing to spend for lunch. I can go to Moe’s and get a meal I enjoy more(since they have more vegetarian options), for literally half the price. Additionally if there is anyone on line ahead of you, you will be there forever. No exaggeration they will take care of 2 customers in the time Moe’s handles 30. I am normally the type of person who would rather eat the fresher food, but when I am rushed during lunch quicker and cheaper is the way I have to go. Delivery is available if you do have a large order, which could be nice for some local businesses.

I am not sure which mega-wraps i went to first, this one or the one in Middletown. They are both very good and the quality is the same at both of them. This location is a little weird and not all that convenient if you don’t work in the area — I don’t think you can easily park in this area without paying in a commercial lot around downtown Hartford. If you have never been to the Food Court at Statehouse Square and you work downtown, it is worth the trip to see all the options here, its like a mall food court with some franchise to-go places and some local mom & pop to go restaurants like Mega Wraps, Bangkok Thai Food, Szechwan Express, Blimpie, D. Piels Bakery, Le Petite Chef, DJ’s Deli, Chef Paolino and The Natural. it is kind of hidden and if you aren’t looking for it you wont find it! I probably ate here over a dozen times — veggie wraps, falafel wraps, salads — all made to order right in front of you — and all were of decent quality and a pretty reasonable price, but not cheap. note: for some reason it says«central, ct» it should be hartford, ct. not sure how that happened. if it gets fixed, i will delete this part of the review! this place is in downtown hartford, ct…
