They have small hibachi meals for under $ 10 and they’re pretty good
I love that I can order delivery and it’s fast! The sushi is OK– depends on what you order. I have never had a really bad experience ordering from here, and I’ve done so a few times. I have had a few orders where the special rolls could have used a little more flavor. Everything always seems fresh, and this will probably continue to be my sushi place for when I don’t feel like driving :)
For the price and the convenience, I think this place is 4 stars.

pleasantly surprised by the quality of Oishi’s fish. Boyfriend ordered a Beef Teriyaki and Sushi Deluxe box for lunch. Came with three pieces of tuna, salmon, yellowtail nigiris; tuna roll and california roll. I love nigiri and sashimi but never order it because bf isn’t a huge fan, nonetheless it tasted light and fresh. the teriyaki was typical of most places, so that not too bad. what I didn’t enjoy was their miso soup and salad. the salad was just wedges of iceberg lettuce with japanese mayo while the soup was too salty.
It’s not far from my apt so I gotta give this another try to see if it will be my backup sushi spot when I’m too lazy to drive to Glastonbury.

Taste and relatively inexpensive. Their thai soup is tasty, although kind of small. Finding out by trial/error what I should and shouldn’t order. But I keep coming back.

DO NOT ORDER HERE ONLINE. Really just paid $ 19.14 and didn’t get any of my food.
Every time I would order from here, it would be online and there wouldn’t ever be problems. I placed my order online today and said my order went through. I get a call from them a few minutes later saying they don’t do online orders anymore and that I was charged and I would have to call a number to cancel my order because they have no control over it. I called the numbers they gave me and none of them worked. I was pretty much being given the run around. They wouldn’t give me my money back or any food.
I get that they personally did not take my money. HOWEVER. don’t advertise on your site that you do online orders if you dont (considering every other time it was fine) and make me lose money to get nothing for it. Put something on your website saying you don’t do online orders or give some sort of heads up.
very unprofessional. never ordering from them ever again.

I placed an order at Oishi on a Monday night at six pm. The food did not show up until after nine. I had to call twice to find out where the driver was. Regardless of the quality of food, I am never going to this restaurant again.

Ordered food here and they said it would take at least 30 minutes for the delivery. I’ve waited for about an hour. I called them regarding my order. I spoke to the same lady and she told me I did not order anything. It’s a little fucked up that I’m stuck here waiting for food I ordered and is not coming. A big fuxk you to you.

My coworkers and I ordered take out from Oishi around 3:30 on a Friday, using Grubhub. Six of us got a variety of things, including a vegetable tempura bento box, pad Thai, some sushi, hibachi chicken and steak, and drunken noodles. Our order came to about $ 70 including a small delivery charge and tip (I tip generously).
Despite having ordered SO much, it only took an hour to arrive — exactly as predicted by the website. Thanks to using Grubhub’s multi-person order feature, every item was labeled with the name of the person who ordered it (awesome!). We got plenty of sauces and chopsticks, even a couple forks.
Everyone was completely satisfied. The food was delicious and abundant for the price. We will definitely order again to try some more things off of their menu!

This is my go to place for quick sushi. I find it inexpensive and good. I have tried most of the rolls menu and have no complaints. I always got my order to go or delivered. The staff are super nice and friendly. They are very helpful if I have any questions or special requests. If you’re in the area and are in the mood for sushi but don’t want to go to anything fancy or wait in line to be seated this is the place for you.

I called for lunch takeout. Woman was very nice km the phone, told me the total cost and how long until pick up. Staff was nice when I went in. I ordered the chicken hibachi with fried rice and noodles. The food was very good except I didn’t care too much for the noodles. Didn’t taste that great.
I would go back. I also like the price. Very affordable.

This place is weird. You walk in and it does not really look like food is actually being prepared on site. Sure, there’s a kitchen with two chatty gentlemen in aprons, but you don’t smell any food cooking and at any moment you expect to see a tumbleweed roll by. I feel like I spent way too much money on a small, mediocre takeout order. My gyoza had an odd mushy consistency which turned me off from the rest of the food. I was hungry though and pushed through. The fish was fresh the rolls were very tiny. It is nice to have a place that delivers, so for those in the area, I am sure it is nice that this place exists. As for me, I don’t see myself driving into the hood to spend too much on a few tiny rolls again.

Sooo! I love this place! I couldn’t decide whether I wanted yakitori or an avocado salad and she have me both! Half and half she said! And charged me for one! The food is excellent. Always fast and fresh. I’m eating and typing and I dot know witch one I’m doing faster!!! I own a local business here in Hartford, and one time they took like forever to deliver but it was due to a language barrier, and it was like the first 3 dys they were open… Now I was disappointed but they gave me my 40 $ order half off, and that really made up for it! The yakitori is a little fattier than I would wish but the flavor is better than any chicken terriaki I’ve ever had else where. They load it with sea same seeds in witch I love, but if you have an allergy just have them sub them. The sushi is wonderful and I’m a happy Unilocaler!

So I order from here about three times a week. I love the food. But tonight I have specifically asked on my order about three times saying no fish eggs. Well when I got my delivery there were fish eggs. I tried calling them and all they could say is drive here to prove your food is wrong. If I wanted to go out to get food I would have gone out! Then all they said was that I needed to call back in 10 minutes. So I decided not to call back and never order from this place again. This makes me very sad because like I said the food is good, but unfortunately I don’t like being called a lair and I really just want the food I order to come the way it’s supposed too. :-(
