Pretty good pizza, especially when you’re craving late after a night out. Sizes are generous and taste is slightly above average. Delivery is always on time. I do have to say, however, that service over the phone is not the most polite. But then again, I’m just happy they’re delivering to me at 1am.

Was looking for food. According to Unilocal and Google, they were open. However, I called multiple times and no one answered. This place is a SCAM. If they’re claiming they’re open till 3am. They’re NOT open till 3am. The person who picked up the phone FINALLY was rude and not courteous. Sisson sucks

Got a couple of salads. They were not too big and they didn’t have much stuff in them. Probably wouldn’t go back for salads or any other fried food. The pizza is ok but there are much better options in the area

After a long night of drinking, Sisson Ave pizza will give you that late night fix you need. The slices are massive. I am 4’11″ and a slice, no exaggeration is literally the length of my torso. I have had better pizza in the area, but I give them credit. The are pumping out pizzas late night like no one else’s business. The crust is thin, resembling a NY style kind of pie. They are one of the only places in Hartford that does delivers until 3am. They are more of a saving grace than a place that I would go out of my way to order from.

Sisson Ave is hands down my favorite pizza in the west end. I also love that I can buy just a slice there that is massive and only $ 3.00!

This is the worst place I have ever ordered from. We called four times, and they hung up on us every time. They have already charged me before the delivery was made. I have never left a review on Unilocal before, but the service was THAT bad.

I don’t know what to say. The pizza is decent but as for the service, I do not understand what the problem is. You order your food and 50 minutes later it will arrive barely warm. Whoever picked up the phone obviously does not know his manners, and neither do the delivery boys. Sometimes demanding tips, as if I was not going to, and other times not delivering at all, after waiting the whole night. I have lost too much patience because of this place and do not recommend it.

The crust makes the pizza at any pizza joint. Sisson Pizza has great crust. They’re reasonably priced, delivery is within the hour, and they’re open later than the other local pizza joints. Sisson Ave is solid in my book.

Had a few pints at the Half Door? 5 stars. Otherwise, skip this place.

Ordered via Unilocal app on my phone. Food delivery was faster than estimated time, and just what you’d expect from a good greasy-food delivery joint. Everyone was happy with their order, from a cobb salad, to slices of pizza and more… large portions and yummy. We’ll be ordering again.

Sooo disappointed in the service. Ordering over the phone is insane. The man was rude, it would sooo loud, and hung up after saying«order online». Sorry to say I wasn’t a happy camper. 18 bucks for two toppings and it took 45mins to get a pizza. when we called back he said it was already made(10mins later), so its going to sit for 35 mins? It will be cold, and guess what it was cold. I told them I didn’t want it because it was freaking cold. He was pissed and said«NO you have to take it NO options»…This is a person staying at a hotel without a microwave. Mind you this was at 2:00am(we just got done watching the fight) and we were hungry. :/ Anywho I would’ve loved to try it warm. Therefore I will ONY review about the service and how my to go order came. Good Luck.

Sisson Avenue Pizza House is your standard late night pizza joint. I’ve typically only used this place after hours so my views are based solely off my experience using Sisson Avenue Pizza House during the night time. Pros: — Sisson Avenue Pizza House is one of the few pizza places that stays open until 4am which is a plus when you are up late and craving pizza — Rain, sleet, hail, or snowstorm Sisson Avenue Pizza House will deliver(I’ve ordered from them in many of these situation and they were reliable) — The pizza is reasonably priced so even if the quality of the food isn’t that great it’s not too much of a waste of money Cons: — The restaurant sitting area always seems kind of dirty and in need of a good sweeping — The staff are not that friendly and they seem like they would rather be somewhere else — The pizza is not the best quality and if you are looking for a better quality pizza I’d spend a little more money and go to George’s Pizza House.

Well I can’t review the food because I never got it. I placed an order with Sisson the night before for an 11:45 am pick up. The person I spoke with said they weren’t normally open that early(despite the fact that Unilocal and their own website said they opened at 11:30) but that they would have someone come in to fulfill the order. I spent $ 95 on that pizza which was for a 12 pm meeting and when I got there, the building was closed and no one is inside. It’s 2:50 pm now and I’ve been trying to contact them all day and haven’t gotten a hold of anyone. NEVERAGAIN!!!

One of my favorite local places to grab some pizza. I always order just cheese and it’s super thin, NY style, not overly saucy and super yummy! It’s cheap, you can buy it buy the slice and the place is open til 3:00 a.m. There is one table and maybe 3 chairs so get it to go, the staff isn’t overly friendly but I mean, it’s not that type of place… you can buy by the slice(served on a cheap Paper plate) or do yourself a favor and grab a whole pie to bring home. The slices are big and foldable but ultra thin and not overly filling… YUM! Parking isn’t great but circle the block, it’s worth it!

Best thin crust pizza around, but customer service is a huge thing for me and they are a 0⁄10. First off, don’t order delivery if you like your food hot and fresh. Even if you’re around the corner, it takes them at least 40 minutes and your food arrives luke warm, if that. Secondly and more importantly, they charge an extra dollar to use your card, even if they know you and you’ve ordered pizza from them 100 times and forgot cash that one day. I know the guys that work there and I’ve ordered from them over 100 times. A couple days I came in and forgot cash. They charged me the extra dollar a couple times and ever since then I have not gone back even though I love their pizza. Maybe eventually they’ll see that trying to suck an extra dollar out of their loyal customers is not the best business practice? Probably not. I hope they go out of business for conducting business in such a cut throat, emotionless way. That said, their pizza isn’t THAT good. I mean, I’m living without it :) In other news, I went into Dunkin Donuts and ordered the breakfast steak burrito. It was the smallest $ 4 meal I’ve ever had in my life and it didn’t even taste good. What was the manager’s solution? He gave me my money back, let me keep the burrito AND gave me a free order of whatever I wanted. Let’s see Sisson Ave Pizza treat their dissatisfied customers this way. YEARIGHT!

I have never eaten here while sober. When pitted against the closed kitchen at The Half Door or going to the Subway next door — I’ve been stupefied in stumbling over and succumbing to the ridiculously large slices here. For $ 2.75−3.50, you are indulging in the most existential slice of cheese or pepperoni in recent memory. After a night of some good drink with great friends, this smörgåsbord of grease and melted-cheese is undeniably irresistible. Truth be told you WILL be better off ordering 4 slices than ordering a large, which sadly isn’t that large, and ironically more expensive. The guys behind the counter are often friendly and quite inquisitive but be not mistaken, this is not somewhere to dine-in, the 2 tables inside would be at most, best for waiting. If you’re looking for some intimacy, save that for later kiddies. Most of the patrons that frequent this location, the dining/waiting room, and overall vibe is questionable if not sketchy. As fast as that urge to get a bite came, so will the urgency to want to leave. things to consider: — you can order up to 2/3am! — using credit/debit will be an additional $ 1 fee — parking is almost non-existent — a sense of remorse, regret, and shame will wash over you. but quite honestly, that late into the night you won’t seem to care until morning after. CAUTION: the slices here are SO good but oh. so. bad.

The neighborhood is gross. The storefront and the seating area are gross. The drunkards who stumble in are gross. The people working there are kinda rude, and gross. But the pizza’s pretty darn good! Ain’t that what matters? Despite all the gross drawbacks, I’d certainly come back here for another pizza. Though a large pie isn’t particularly large [maybe 16″], I’d say $ 11.95 is a pretty reasonable price for one, and it fed three hungry people on a late Friday night. Thin crust, tasty tomato sauce, and gooey fatty cheese served in abundance. That’s the foundation of admirable pizza, as I see it. It’s 4-star pizza, but they ain’t getting four stars from me. Why? There’s a dollar charge to use a goddamn credit card. Are you kidding me? 1992 called — they want their payment policy back… Bring cash.

Why oh why did I even go back here? Because it’s a stone’s throw(literally) from The Half Door? Damn the convenience of it all! The Half Door has pretty decent food– why didn’t I just eat there? It was late, in my defense, and some post-beer pizza was just the thing to satiate a fast food-esque guilty pleasure. Two massive, massively greasy slices of pizza at Sisson Pizza made me truly reconsider some of my life choices– after the first bite alone. Filled with remorse but a sense of no going back, I finished both slices and shook my head in disdain. This just isn’t good pizza. There’s no other way about it. So, as the 2 stars say– meh. I’ve experienced better.
