Super 8

Wish I knew about Unilocal before I went. Absolutetly DISGUSTING! Does not even deserve 1 star. Should be shut down. Bullet hole in bathroom door, stains of all sorts, hope you don’t have a blue light! Window would not stay closed and wouldn’t even shut. Upon telling the front desk person about the window and disgust; his response was, it was not his problem that guests do not know how to take care of the rooms. ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE. Asked for my money back; absolutely NOT he said. Had to book another hotel, Homewood Suites in Windsorlocke. Read review there. Shame on you Super 8.

Looks like this place has bed bugs, and unfortunately they don’t seem to be in that much of a rush to investigate it. It’s understandable that it’s a budget hotel, but that is unacceptable. After sleeping in the bed, we noticed that we had woken up with red bumps all over and spots of blood on the sheets, which is pretty cut and dry as we normally don’t break out in hives and bleed while sleeping. Luckily, the hotel manager, Bill, is a doctor. Oh, wait, no he’s not, but he DID try and diagnose the condition over the phone rather than apologize like any normal human being would. Between the bad attitude + likely bed bug infestation, I’m not interested in staying here anymore and I would not recommend anyone else does, either.

Worst service ever i got.
Today I have noticed they have charged my card twice. When I called back the person at the reception is not friendly and very rude. No proper response, when I have asked why it happened the response I got is you will come to know after 3 days when u got the money back.
I hate Super 8 !!!

Good for one night stay — nothing special. Before we even got into the hotel we noticed there was a lot of trash in the parking lot. It appears to be an older hotel, not kept up very well at all. Lighting fixtures in the room were bent, the furniture was old, broken and worn. We were in Hartford CT and the photos in the room were of Boston MA! The room had a funky smell not fresh. The window in the room opened — no lock, no screen which was a little disconcerting as we were on the first floor! The pictures from the website show a bright clean hotel — dingy is the one word I will use to describe this hotel. The free breakfast included with your stay was nonexistent… there was a member of the hotel staff emptying the cereal into a plastic bag, there was a waffle maker with something that was spilled on the counter next to it, but that was it. If there was coffee or juice I wouldn’t want to drink it anyway. There were a few women squeezed at a table in this dingy area but that’s it. The front desk was not open but was more like a bank with glass enclosing the counter and you could barely hear or understand the man behind the glass! I wish I would have taken more photos!
