Visited last night for the first time and overall was pretty good. The atmosphere is casual and friendly the place is rustic and homey. We came early(5:30p) and had a mix of apps, entrees and sandwiches. They serve beer(decent selection) and wine(very limited selection). Overall, I’d say there is a disconnect between the prices and the experience. With a steak– heavy entrée menu that runs low– mid $ 20 range, I expected a little more. Ordered fried pickles(very tasty but a little undercooked so some were gooey not crunchy), two sandwiches and prime rib. All were a large amount of food. Prime came with salad, veggies(very good) and potatoes(kinda dry). The nitpicks: table was so wobbly my wine spilled(fixed with coasters), asked for water twice but it never materialized, rarest cut of prime rib available was med well, salad hadn’t been served by the time entrees arrived(server acknowledged but I didn’t want it after my prime rib), Cabernet was served cold and had to request ketsup twice for French fries. Everyone was friendly and there was a neighborhood feel among the customers. Lots of folks knew one another and there was a guy playing music on the patio which was cool. Feels like the perfect place to stop in for drinks and a sandwich vs. higher end meal. We’ll try again and order accordingly… and I think it will feel like a better value.
