Great place to bring the family for some fun time! I had a groupon which allowed 6 of use to bowl for 2 hours with shoe rental included for only $ 24.99.

Growing up around here, this place was a blast, so I thought it’d be fun to take my 3-yr old daughter and her cousins here for a fun hour of bowling. I was very disappointed and will not be returning. As others have said, the staff is grumpy when presented with a groupon. The woman who«helped» us was rude, argumentative and outright mean to our entire party. My 8-yr old niece actually asked me why this woman was being such a bully. On another note, she was flossing her teeth right there at the counter. Next time we have the urge to go bowling, we will seek out a new location.

DONTSUPPORTTHISBUSINESS I bought a Groupon and thought it would be a fun family outing and it was anything but! First they didn’t really honor what the coupon said and there was another there family having the same problem. It didn’t specify certain thing and the worker said he hated the coupons and this was the way it was or we could leave. Then the guy working at the desk was totally rude to the customers. The family in front of me was not American and wanted information about how to score and he was very rude to them. When I approahed he said good I probably knew how to play! He was a jerk about the coupon and when I said that wasn’t legal he started yelling. Then he continue to yell at my family when we had gone over to the lanes. I enjoy an old time bowling but the lanes were warped and the place is just run down.

Not the fanciest little place but so much fun and great prices if you bring a larger group. I went with 4 people yesterday and it was $ 11.00 per half hour of bowling — not bad if you’re splitting the cost. I’ve had a similarly rough experience with the woman that other Unilocalers are describing but the other owner, a man, is so nice and very accommodating!

Nothing bad to say about this place. This is your typical candlepin bowling lanes that probably had their hayday back in the 70s or 80s. We had a company function here not too long ago, and it was empty otherwise. Some arcade games as well as about 18 lanes for bowling. The games were the only things there that seemed«new». No complaints, I have seen much better, and I have unfortunately seen worse, but this was your standard candlepin place.

The woman/owner is rude, yells and makes you feel unwelcome. I don’t understand why they advertise on Groupon if they don’t accept them and claim they never asked them to publish. Strange as it isn’t the 1st time they do it. It’s expensive, outdated, it doesn’t look clean and if you add the attitude of the owner… Not a place where I want to take my daughter again, especially after she yelled at her for not throwing the ball fast enough.

I am in Harvard, MA, visiting my girlfriend’s parents, and we decided to go out to do a bit of bowling at Harvard Lanes, and I couldn’t imagine a more pleasant experience! We arrived around 7:30, were greeted by a lovely man who quickly taught us how to score candlepin bowling(just a bit different than regular bowling), grabbed our shoes for us, and away we went. There was a league going on, and all those folks were very friendly, and we had a great time, bowling around 4 games apiece(at only 25 bucks for the games plus the shoes, a great deal). After paying, they weren’t closed quite yet, so we hit up the arcade, and played a few games on their Family Guy pinball, a machine in great working order, which was lovely to see. All told, the only beef I have with the alley is that they don’t serve alcohol there(what’s bowling without booze?) though you can apparently bring your own bottles of «diet coke», or at least we had no problem doing so. Great time, nice people, solid lanes, and a lovely evening! thanks Harvard lanes!
