This place may be great if you want to be led around by a salesperson. Personally, I prefer to do my own looking and comparing. Being a geek, I tend to do research before and after I check out a place. So it’s better for me to just do my thing. Walking in to HH Gregg, we were greeted before we got the door closed. Ok, that was fast, but ok. The sales person sidled up toward the Girly and asked HER, «What can I get for YOU?» I spoke up and told him we were just taking a look. He looked at the Girly one last time and slinked away. We took another 5 steps and another one swooped in. Same thing happened. Almost word for word. I looked up and noticed there were about 3 customers in the store and maybe 15 or so employees, all looking like starving vultures just hoping someone will get some dysentery and fall fall down for dinner. We got swooped in on another 4 times within 5 minutes and had only looked at 3 ovens in that time. If we got within the line of site of an employee, they would swoop on in like they thought no one else could have possibly helped us. Finally, after number 6, we just decided to forget looking anymore. The experience left us feeling like the last blood donors in a world full of vampires and eventually, they would stop taking no for an answer. Conclusion: No wonder their prices are a bit higher than other places. Having that many bloodsuc… er. salespeople working at the same time must cost a ton and they need to re-coop that somehow. Recommend only if you know what thing you want(a stove; a fridge) but have no idea what exactly you want and prefer someone else telling you what to get.

My Mom and I had a great experience at Hhgregg! As soon as we walked in a sales guy was there to greet us and when we told him we wanted a tv he walked us to the tv section and introduced us to Tracie(I think that was her name, or Terri). My Mom already knew what she wanted, a 42″ LG plasma tv and brought the clipping of the tv on sale. Tracie showed us the tv and my Mom asked if the sales tax was waived for the Memorial Day holiday/sales tax weekend etc. Tracie had to check and unfortunately the sales tax waiver didn’t apply to tv’s but she said she could give us a discount for our trouble. When she went to go in the back to make sure they had a tv in stock my Mom and I found a slightly larger tv(43″ plasma) Samsung tv on sale at a cheaper price. When we asked Tracie which brand was better she gave me her honest opinion(I already knew Samsung was better) that Samsung was the best brand but LG was a close second. I appreciated her honesty and didn’t even mind when she was doing her job asking if we needed anything to go with the tv(surge protector, wires etc.). She ended giving my Mom a 5% discount on the tv which we appreciated. Then she arranged to have someone bring the tv to our car as I brought the car around to the front. The gentleman who loaded the tv in my car was pleasant. Happy Shopping!
