Just what the West Bank needed! I was so excited when I heard they were building a Panera at this location. Each day on my way home from work I’d look to see what progress they’d made constructing it. But I was nervous… as much as I love Panera, I hoped we’d up with one that’s clean and run well with a friendly staff. Well, they exceeded all hopes! They are so friendly and accommodating. Haven’t had an unfriendly encounter or a bad meal yet. Keep it up, and thanks!

I am actually disappointed. We both ordered the pick two combo online for pick up. I had the chicken salad half sandwich and a half Caesar salad. My sandwich had hardly any chicken salad on it :(and then what was on there was more grapes and filler than actual chicken. The salad was really small and had no cheese and barely any croutons. I have been to many panera breads in south Florida before none of the experiences were like this location. I know it’s new and we may give it another try but no time soon. $ 22 for lunch without drinks and I could have made something much better at home. Kind of a shame.

Finally, been waiting for something different on the westbank for awhile. Small line but that went quick since all registers were open. Had the pick 2, potato soup and flatbread Sammy, it was filling. I also had the tea which was fresh and tasted good. Service was very attentive and friendly. Oh, also took home the pastry ring. It was fresh and delicious. Think king cake with a twist. Leaving one star off until the new car smell goes away and they maintain this level.

I really wanted to like this location, but there was a hair in my chicken bbq flatbread and there was barely any chicken. My boyfriends tomato mozzarella flatbread only had 1 slice of tomato. Maybe I’ll give this place another try but I only enjoyed their bagged potato chips and the green iced tea. Not good enough for what we paid for. So sad. I hate to give a bad review since they’re newly opened, but I can’t get past that strand of hair. Ugh.

Ohhhh yes. Panera Bread has finally landed on the Westbank and oh my gosh was it worth the wait. When I saw that a Panera Bread was coming to Manhattan, I was pretty excited. I had never been to the Panera in Metairie, but I had heard how great this place is and I am a sucker for a soup and sandwich combo. I’m usually not a huge chain person, but the Westbank is sorely lacking in good deli places, so I am going to take what I can get. Today was only the second day the this Panera was open, so I was pretty surprised that there wasn’t more of a crowd at lunch. I guess word hasn’t gotten out about the place yet– perfect. I walked up to the register and decided to do the«You pick 2» soup and sandwich combo. I got a half of a bacon turkey bravo sandwich and a cup of the broccoli and cheddar soup. I also got an iced tea. Once you order they give you a buzzer, and when your order is ready, you go and pick it up at the window. The food came out fast and it looked amazing. The sandwich half was a good size with fresh turkey, bacon, lettuce and tomato. Everything tasted really fresh and I loved it! The broccoli and cheese soup was a dream come true. This is one of my favorite all time soups and the Panera version didn’t disappoint. I was a little nervous that the soup was going to be out of a can, but it tasted really good and I loved it. Bonus: they give you a baguette with your soup order, in case you want to dip! This Panera is new so, of course, there are a few«bugs» to work out, but I loved the food and I will absolutely return. I am also really excited that they have a drive through, for those days where I don’t feel like dining in.

Thank God for fresh bagels on the Westbank. Don’t know what the first reviewer was talking about. Probably just a poser. Anyway this Panera just opened three days ago. Ate here yesterday. Had the split Apple turkey sandwich with the broccoli cheddar soup. It was just as consistently good as the other Panera locations and the restaurant is clean and the service is wonderful. Everyone is very friendly. Will definitely make this one of my regular spots for fresh healthy food.
