Today went into buy 3 pieces of Triple Berry Cake, I had not been in awhile due to old stale pastries/cake. Arrived about 11:45 place was almost empty. Ordered 3 slices of triple berry cake to go, ask if they were fresh told the waitress about my last experience, she said they were fresh, I paid $ 17.73 with military discount. They didn’t have any coins to give me my change, I had to wait until they found change from another waitress. The place is so dirty I was surprise, someone ordered food and they warmed it in the microwave(small microwave students use in dorm room). In the food prep/cooking area food was open, serving spoons was left in food, grits was all over the warmer. Well arrive to my meeting we start to eat our cake and it’s stale, nothing like the anticipation of eating a good piece of cake to realize it was stale and old. I remember when this place first open I was one of their 1st customers and told everyone about it. over the last few years it has gotten so bad, the decore look like it has never been cleaned or dusted, there’s no high/low cleaning of the all of those plants and parrots This place needs a remodeled the out door furniture is in horrible condition. This place has had so much going for it. Customers don’t only come for the food, it’s the atmosphere the quality of the food that you serve and the experience the customer have, all of this has been lost at Parrot Pete’s. we are in a city where food is a big part of our life and to be substandard is a disregard for the customers.

Food is good. The wait is always too long; I seem to always give it another shot but should just give up. Eggs and pancakes shouldn’t take 20 – 30 minutes.

to the chubby african-american female who always wears fake eyelashes on the cash register, fix your damn attitude. i dined in and ordered beignets, but for some reason this chick put it in a paper bag. she carelessly threw it on the counter when it was ready. nice, you sure have some manners. I asked another employee to put them on a plate. he did. he barely sprinkled powder sugar on them. so I asked for more. while he was adding more, the she-wolf came out from the back, snatched the plate from him and once again shoved it on the counter for us when he wasn’t even finished putting sugar on them. the other employee laughed awkwardly and asked her ‘what are you jealous? they just asked for sugar’. not a word from the lady. just a roll of her eyes. what kind of customer service is this? do you view your customers as trash? ms. lashes, you and your attitude are trash. don’t work here if you hate this job. customers don’t need to deal with you if you act so rude. you should be ashamed of yourself. I am avoiding this place in case I see your face again. you completely ruin this place.

Have been coming here since they opened. Food has downgraded drastically! Wait was long and then when they came with the pecan praline pancake it was horrible. Flat nasty pancake drenched in syrup and topped with horrible looking pecan NOT pralines. Came home from Texas and figured I would visit my favorite spot… NEVERAGAININANYONE’S LIFE. I am so ashamed of Parrot Pete’s. Wish I could give a half star

Every time I have been to this location the service has been crap and your staff has been rude. The only reason I still came was to buy a triple berry cake and leave. But after finding out your staff mocked a special needs child then your management went on social media denying it and basically calling the mother a lair I will never spend one cent in your establishment again. I work in HR and management, that was distasteful and disrespectful way to handle that situation. And as a mother of a special needs child myself I am appalled! I hope their post goes far and wide! 1 star is too much

If I could give zero stars I would have. Never eating here again. This place was awesome when it first opened, but it’s just not anymore. Given multiple chances and each experience got worse. Staff sucks, food over priced, long wait times for mediocre food. Then I hear ya’ll mock special needs families. Just another nail in the coffin.

Today my friend, her husband and their special needs child attempted to dine in your establishment. When the child became rowdy, my friend apologized. As her husband took the it child outside to vent some energy as they waited for their food, a table full of grown women clapped and cheered. Your staff laughed off the situation instead of handling this properly. They left. I can tell you with 100% assurance that I will never step foot in your establishment again.

My daughter and I sat outside enjoying the weather. Waited for over an hour for our breakfast to come out. Was told there were multiple tickets that was why the wait. Our food came out and half of it was cold. Told our waitress and she said she would try to get our meal comped. She came back with the bill and no discount. Had to go inside to pay, told her it was a shame that we waited so long the food was cold and couldn’t eat half of it and still couldn’t comp it? She took $ 2 off. Add this restaurant to the list that we will never recommend or visit again!

Parrot Petes used to be a great place to have lunch but my guess is that they have a new manager who doesn’t know how to run the place. The servers were nice but my food came out on a plate with dried up cheese on it. I didn’t order anything with cheese on it. My moms plate had honey mustard on the edges, she didn’t order anything with honey mustard on it. We both ordered a side of fruits, what we got was sundae toppings(strawberry, cherries and banana slices) not the mention the strawberries had mold on them. The server also didn’t check on us after we got our food until 15 minutes later, after we were done eating. She saw that we were done eating yet after 10 minutes we still didn’t have a check so my mom had to get up to ask for it. We were one of only 3 tables sat so I know being too busy wasn’t an issue. Like many others I will not be returning. This place has a lot of potential but they need to work on the quality of their service.

I had an Entertainment Book coupon to use here so I figured I’d give it a shot after church on Sunday. My review is pretty mixed. I’d give the food about 3 stars and the service 2 stars. My overall rating I rounded up because they gave us a free order of beignets for taking so long with our food. That level of courtesy and consideration goes a long way in my book. I had a create your own omelet with andouille sausage, crawfish tails, Philly steak, spinach, onions, and pepper jack cheese(a weird mix of ingredients, don’t judge me) with loaded hash browns. The omelet was very good but the hash browns were not good at all. They were shaped like a square which tells me they prepare a big batch and then cut squares out to plate them, not cooked to order, so I was not impressed. My wife had a breakfast plate which included eggs, bacon, the aforementioned hash browns, and pancakes. Everything was good except the hash browns. The beignets were good, and we took half of the order home. The server was friendly, mostly attentive, but the food just took a while to get to us. I’m glad the server was nice enough to get us the beignets free of charge as a courtesy. We may come back, but avoid the hash browns at all costs.

So disappointed, again. The service was horrible. It took over 1 hour for the food to arrive and didn’t even get the orders correct. Waitress was rude. It was hot and when I asked, she pointed to the building across and said, ” do you see that building over there, that’s the corporate office and they said we have to keep the thermostat at 75″. Never will this restaurant get my business again.

Food is good when it is correct. This is a poorly ran business and needs new management. Would be great if they had a system and kept employees to a standard. Cooks fuss with each other in front of guest and tells manager to go hell! This could be a great place if it was ran better! But as for now only 2 stars!

My father and I were running some errands the other morning and called in two orders of pancakes to bring home breakfast for the family. We finished up our errands about 20 minutes later and went to Parrot Pete’s to pick up but the food was not ready. Okay, no big deal, it was a Saturday and they had a bit of a crowd. Well 20 more minutes go by, still no food. We were starting to get a little ticked off because really, 40 minutes for two orders of pancakes? Absurd. Then we see someone at the counter getting some pancakes ready, so my dad walks up thinking those were finally ours. The waitress tells him that it is for the people who came in and ordered. The people who came in and ordered AFTER us. Are you kidding me? The girl then proceeds to tell my dad that customers who order in the restaurant take precedence over the phoned in ones. Well why the hell bother accepting orders over the phone if the person has to wait double the time?! That day will be my last visit at parrot pete’s. Their mediocre food and crappy service is not worth your time.

The ambiance is absolutely lovely, especially sitting outside. Unfortunately, the service is so exceptionally slow, that it ruins the entire experience. We have been here 4 times, on various days/times, and never have we gotten our food faster than 1.5 hours after being seated. The food is average at best.

Last night(1−16−15) my husband and daughter went to Parrot Pete’s to grab dessert to go, and it was awful with the exception of the strawberry cheese cake that our daughter ordered, and that was so-so… My husband got me a slice of carrot cake which tasted like it had been frozen, and then thawed out, it was awful! My husband who is a chocolate lover got a slice of the blackout cake and he wound up throwing his slice of cake into the garbage can after the first bite… Parrot Pete’s used to be so good and it saddens me that it’s no longer what it used to be!

My parents love coming for breakfast here every time we’re in town. But honestly I’ve had better breakfast at Ihop… For one service is usually okay or just bad. Our waitress said she would get straws for us but it took her forever to do that. In general she was very slow about everything. But even the food didn’t save that. The breakfast is not bad but I mean who can really screw up eggs and pancakes right? Lunch options are pretty limited as well. This place is packed on weekends for breakfast. Luckily for them they are in a prime location. They have great outdoor seating. But I don’t see the appeal of this place.

Cake I order was on time, it’s taste very light not too sweet .that’s a plus. décor wasn’t what I expected… it was way off, but didn’t look nothing like the picture I emailed them . But I heard they’re known for just a triple berry cake… I’m all about second chances so I’ll try a triple berry cake next time I’m around the area.

It hurts me to type this review, since many of my family/friends LOVE the dessert at Parrot’s Pete. But I just wanted to share one of my worst dining experiences ever. My girlfriend and I ordered a slice of Triple Berry cake to-go, after our breakfast there on Sunday 7÷21÷13, and found a fruit fly stuck in the icing(Picture uploaded). That’s a $ 5.50 slice of cake, plus tax! And if that wasn’t bad enough, earlier, I ordered my steak«Medium», which came out«Well Done». But I understand there could’ve been some miscommunication, so I didn’t even complain nor send it back to the kitchen. But it doesn’t end there. My girlfriend found a piece of foreign object in her food, that looked like half an eyebrow or stringy thing from a sponge(Wish I would’ve took a picture). It was hard to say what it truly was. And still after those 2 mishaps, we still didn’t complain(We are 2 laid back people that don’t sweat the little things and rarely complains). But it was after we found the fruit fly, that I had to call to complain and now leave this review. At first, I thought to myself«This is our punishment for missing church last week. There’s no way all 3 of this could be happening on 1 visit!» But unfortunately it did. Don’t worry family/friends, I’m not asking you to choose between me and Parrot’s Pete. =) I just wanted to let people know about my unlucky experience.
