I had my wedding here the place was beautiful the staff was great and so was the food. My picky family from the northeast was even impressed by the food. Which says a lot. Everyone enjoyed it. They were very accommodating and helpful. They assign a personal attendant to the bride and groom as well as parents. I searched for months and visited many venues and I’m very happy with my choice. The purple up lighting was so pretty. My guest loved the place as so did we.

The Four Columns is a landmark on the West Bank of New Orleans! I have been to several weddings here, the food is always great, the service is always great, the venue is beautiful wether its decorated or not. My recent visit was for a business networking function and The Four Columns hosted an inside and outside event serving crawfish, finger food and hot plates. I was very impressed at the diversification of this venue. Five stars from me!

This was my first wedding reception at The Four Columns. The décor is nice but I was extremely disappointed in the food, bar and serving style. The food was nothing special. There was not a lot of food circulating around. The ham and roast at the carving station was good but there was not a plate available, only napkins. The carving station offers gravy for the roast but you are only offered a napkin to put it on. I’m not putting hot gravy on something that only has a napkin between my hand and the sandwich. The pastries offered look like the assortment boxes from Sam’s. The cake wasn’t served to people. It was stacked slice on slice. The bar didn’t scream reception hall. It had more of a backyard party feel. There was a very unattractive ice chest for ice at the bar on one side of the hall. The cranberry juice was poured out of Sam’s sized jugs. The amaretto and pineapple was premixed in a plastic pitcher and definitely lacked the amaretto taste. The lack of plates, use of plastic utensils and tiny styrofoam bowls just didn’t scream elegant wedding reception to me.

The Four Columns is a popular place for Westbank wedding receptions. We’ve been there for several as well as other events where you need a large room. It seems like it’s always rented on election night. This time we were there for the third annual CODOFIL sponsored Cajun dance. Years ago, every Tuesday night, you could go to the Four Columns for an evening Cajun dancing. You would come early for the dance lessons and stay late for the band while practicing that new step. Alas, the numbers of dancers became smaller over time and eventually the slot was taken over by a Jamaican swing dance group. Three years ago, some of the people who used to attend teamed up with the Westbank chapter of CODOFIL to hold the first annual dance for all the old regulars and any new people interested in an afternoon of Cajun dancing on the Westbank. Any excuse to pass a good time, eh cher? We missed the first two reunions but heard about this one. We call some old dancing friends and made plans. It was a great afternoon. Bruce Daigrepont and his band provided the music and the wife and I worked off the rust of our dance moves.
