Trendy Salon

Thuy is amazing! I’ve lived here almost two years and I’ve finally found my salon. I called on a Friday morning and she got me in the same day. She was professional, her salon is clean and the prices are great. I am very happy with my cut and would recommend to anyone.

I have been to Trendy Salon twice now, and I absolutely love it! Thuy does an excellent job with my hair. Both times she has given me a outstanding cut that is easy to style and easy to keep up with. Just today she colored my hair, and it’s perfect! She matched my normal color exactly, and gave me don’t really fun highlights that are much more modern looking than I’ve ever had. These are the highlights that I’ve wanted and never could get other stylists to duplicate. Thuy is awesome! I’ve found my new salon.

Thuy is a wonderful hair stylist. I’ve been NOLA-​based for 2 years now and always come back to her for a cut and styling. She KNOWS Asian hair, that’s for sure! She does a wonderful job with my hair and with my 15 year old son too, who has really thick, straight hair. Even though her salon is on the West bank and I’m on the East, I make the drive. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to my friends!

Thuy has been doing my hair for over 10 years! You know that says a lot. She is the only person I trust with my hair. If you’re trying to find a great hairstylist, don’t hesitate to make a call and get an appointment. She’s super friendly and wants you to be 100% satisfy with your hair. If anything, bring a picture or two with you. It’s a bonus! You won’t regret it! ;)

Just had a great experience at Trendy Salon. I wanted to find a salon closer to home and wanted to give her a try because of all her great reviews. Trust me, you will not be disappointed. She was fast, accurate, the salon was clean and inviting. Great experience all around and I will recommend to all my friends!

Thuy Nguyen did a great job on my hair from the wash (love the way she massaged my head), haircut, and style. Even though my haircut is simple long layers she did made sure it looked perfect before I walked out the door (and it looks even better now after it has had a month to grow out). You can tell she pays attention to little details and has a sharp eye. Her price is good to (I would normally have to pay at least $ 60 in Miami). If I am ever in the area again I will definitely be visiting her again. Thank you!

Even though I try to get my hair cut across the nation, it doesn’t really work out in my favor. But thank goodness for Trendy Salon! Trendy has always been my go-​to place for a cut (so obviously this review is for a haircut).
Atmosphere
The radio is tuned into Magic 101.9, and the salon has an all-​glass storefront so a lot of light shines through. There are four chairs for getting your hair did — plus two domes you sit under (idk the name lol) — two manicure stations, and one pedicure chair. Even though the salon is small, I think it works out for them. The lounge area consists of a couch and chairs with all the magazines you need to get inspired looks. Trendy boasts 9 shelves of hair products as well. There’s a small TV, but I don’t remember ever seeing it on.
Haircut
Somehow, Thuy always managed to solve whatever issue I have with my hair before I even ask her to fix it. Six months ago, I had short bangs with really low layers (I had this really straight look), and it grew out really funky. Needless to say, Thuy fixed me right up! She did what I asked (trim but keep the length, medium layers, no bangs) and more. She thinned out my hair and made sure all the little details made me look and feel great. Even my hair smells amazing!
What my $ 35 (excluding tip) haircut included:
Shampoo and conditioner, blow dry, straighten, and some hair product

I frequent Trendy a little more often (about every 6 months vs every year), and the service is consistent. Thuy has always been the one to cut my hair (I believe it’s just her working the floor while another does nails), and I’m always pleased with the results. I always leave with a boost of confidence!
P. S. Don’t use Pantene shampoo because it makes your hair fall out.

The hairdresser here is Thuy Nguyen. All I needed really was a simple hair trim with layers. Considering it was my first visit, I thought she did a great job with my hair, nothing too crazy flashy and not too flat and simple either. Shampooing, wash, and dry are all included to $ 30 (not including tip). She definitely seems to have a hand with Asian hair, I do plan going back here again!

One of the only hairdressers i trust with my hair! reasonable prices my hair usually cost me $ 15-​$ 30 for a wash, haircut, and style. Having long hair for a boy is the reason why the hair cut cost a lot. I started cutting my own hair now so i never had the chance to get my hair cut here for quite a while now.
