Love love love this place! the Mongolian beef is one of the best around, on the sweeter bbq style. cant be beat!! also the seafood dishes such as the shrimps and mixed seafood in white sauce is delicious as well. they have great lunch and dinner specials for 2 and even larger family of 7 ordered the dinner for 6 and it was more than enough at 82 dollars without tip… this Chinese place I would say is finer dining than just typical, run of the mill fast food Chinese

Don’t know what happened to this place !!! Food was disgusting !!! Chicken tasted like rubber and the gravy was cold and like jello clumps everywhere !! I threw it out was disgusted if I could have given this zero stars I would have … Don’t know what happened to this place but it needs to be fixed asap!

Gave this place a couple chances and it failed every time. Orange chicken was cold, soggy and just plain distasteful. Fried rice was old and hard as if it was from 4 days ago. The teriyaki chicken has no teriyaki quality — just salty. The fortune cookies were the best part. Overall, if you want Chinese please skip over this place.

Soft orange chicken which I just took 3 bites of n couldn’t bare to finish the rest. Crab rangu was also not good, had like a coleslaw filling. Not the regular cream cheese filling. Gave this place a chance based on a recommendation n I basically just threw 10 $ out the window.

Been going there for years and it is declining. Food is not as fresh, attention to detail is lacking. Hope it gets better or we won’t be back

A really bad Chinese restaurant I ordered beef stew dish and it was basically four pieces of meat and all vegetables. The Peking beef dish as its called on the menu was awful and the term beef in it is misleading when they cannot even deliver more beef in this dish. He place was really old and ruined down and reeked of kitchen smell. Like small places with cute seating but a business does this a disorder when they run so cheaply and can’t even update nicer furniture or rugs.

In the neighborhood last night, and was looking for Chinese food. Figured we would give it a chance. Mind you, the oscars were on and it was cold, so no one was in the restaurant. It’s definitely dated, but not gross and very clean. Typical old school Chinese restaurant. Lady who took care of us was really nice and the food came out piping hot and fast. They had some take out orders call in while we were there, and can tell they were cooking up a storm in back. Only ordered potstickers which were very good! And beef chow fun no gravy and pork fried rice. LOVE the beef chow fun. Probably best I’ve ever had personally. The fried rice was just OK. I prefer mine a little more cooked and darker. .but for what it was, it was good. Large servings and hot great tasting food. I will definitely come back and try other things.

The food was nothing to speak of. Orange chicken was rubbery. The egg rolls were ok but the crab rangoon was terrible. We threw it away.

Ordered from Sun Eng’s for lunch today and had it delivered to my office. I ordered the lunch special which was around $ 5. Delivery was another $ 3. And a tip, of course. Definitely a better deal to pick up but not horrible for delivery. My lunch special came with a cup of soup(Egg Drop) and Chicken w/Broccoli and fried rice. Pros: — Fast delivery — All white meat chicken — Chicken was tender and nicely cooked. Broccoli had just the right amount of bite. So the elements were nicely prepared. — Soup was very tasty. A little greasy but not in a bad way. Cons: — The chicken and veggies were sitting in a pool of sauce. It bordered on a soup. — The sauce could have been a bit more flavorful. It was good. But not that good. I would order from here again but I would probably get a different entrée.

I used to order from here all the time but stopped a few years ago once a different Chinese food place opened a block from my house. Today, I decided to order from Sun Eng’s again(even though my drive would be a little farther) because I couldn’t remember what ultimately caused my permanent Chinese food switch. My order: 1 small vegetable fried rice: extra vegetables and add almonds 1 order almond cookies 1 small Mongolian beef: no onions, not spicy 1 order crab rangoon 1 order pan fried noodles Upon picking up my order it was CLEAR why I stopped ordering from Sun Eng’s. The vegetable fried rice has almost NO vegetables in it… I’ll give it to them, they put almonds on top. The Mongolian beef is like SOUP. There is so much gravy/sauce that I actually had to DRAINIT before I could put it on my plate. Yes, I asked for my beef to not be spicy but I didn’t expect it to be completely bland. I could deal with all these things if the crab Rangoon had be delicious. Crab Rangoon is my FAVORITE appetizer and no matter where I get it from, it’s always pretty amazing. BUT, the Crab Rangoon from Sun Eng’s tasted fishy, cold, looked coleslaw, and I was forced to throw it away because I couldn’t even finish 1! I will NEVER order from here again and will be contacting them about a refund.

Awful! Let me start with the chicken fried rice. Gooey stuck together rice with little squares of chicken seasoned with soy sauce, thats it Oh and it was tastless. Come on how can you call yourself a chinese restaurant. Next the mongolian beef was also tastless, not even a little spicy and had bad pieces of the onion mixed in. I think it was the outter skin of the onion, lets not waste anything. Dont waste your time on ordering the vegetable egg rolls. They were soggy and you cant figure what the vegetables were inside. Dont waste you time and money on this place.

The lunch special here is out of control! 10STARVALUE! Seriously… egg foo young, pork fried rice, huge egg roll and choice of 1 of 3 different soups for $ 4.75??? Stop it! They have several different lunch special options if Egg Foo Young is not your thing. Most impressive thing about the meal is that it easily feeds 2! CRAZY! HOMEMADEHOTSAUCE! Soooo good! ASKFORTHEHOTSAUCE! Not the typical hot sauce that you would get from an Asian restaurant. Super delish. Have only done carryout. The restaurant itself is OLDSCHOOL. Prob opened in the 50s and it hasn’t been renovated since, lol. That’s OK, gives this place character. Parking is no fun. If you live in the area just walk there and eat… by the time you walk back home you’ll be hungry for Chinese again :)

Good Chinese food, very reasonably priced. I got the sweet & sour chicken special. It included my choice of soup, a shrimp egg roll, probably 2 cups of S&S chicken, in a nice tempura batter, and a cup of fried rice. The price? $ 5.25. Where can you get a complete meal for lunch for $ 5.25 these days? The veggies were crisp and fresh; the sauce was as it should be. Service was quick. My friend thought the soup could be hotter, but I was happy with it – egg drop soup with lots of egg in it. The other diners seemed to be regulars there, and they have a brisk carry out business. If you’re in the area and need a quick, cheap and tasty lunch, I would stop here. The only thing is that there is limited parking in front of it, but even if you parked on a side street, it would just be a short walk. The tab for two of us was under $ 13, including beverages.

First time there for lunch. I had the pork fried rice, egg roll & egg foo young lunch special for $ 4.75 and it was great. It was hot and came with very good egg drop soup. I asked for no msg and she said ok, usually it’s a big deal everywhere else or they just put it in anyway. To bad they don’t deliver where I live. Will be back. Very good and will try other lunches.

The crab ‘rangu’ reminds me more of pierogies than any other wonton wrapped imitation crab and cream cheese combo I’ve ever had. The sauce of my ‘sesame’ chicken was mostly soy sauce and had a ton of onions in it. And the fortune cookies were super stale. But, my husband likes the egg foo young.

This restaurant has been around for a long time so there is something to be said for staying power. I am not a big fan or carry out so I cannot comment on that since I dine in but they do a BIG carry out business. The prices are VERY reasonable. The atmosphere is comfortable but on the older side, but clean. We LOVE the egg rolls. We get the vegetarian egg rolls and they have always been good. We get the complete dinner sometimes which comes with soup. The soup has always been very good and fresh. Sometimes we order a large soup and it is clearly large enough for two or three people(though we usually get our own since it is so good!). The food we have is always fresh and freshly prepared. The service is excellent as well. Very attentive. I drink a lot of water and my glass is always full. They also have a full bar. They will make a drink with a blender(which tends to be hard to find) and the price is really reasonable for a Mai tai(about $ 3 or so). I have NEVER had a problem parking, but I go there for dinner and usually it is 7PM or later. I I highly recommend it. It is not gourmet but the food is very good and the prices are very reasonable.

Won ton Soup was what it was supposed to be. It was good in taste and lots of won tons. The beef with pea pods came in the same kind of container as the soup, which would have been fine if it didn’t ALSO look like soup. Mostly pea pods with VERY little beef. Will possibly order Won ton soup again but that’s probably about it.

Awesome food. Parking is pretty frustrating, but worth it. Really cheap and yummy lunch specials(around $ 5 and includes soup and an egg roll). Nice seating area for a place that does mostly take out. Clean with quick attentive service!

Alright, I live in this area, and it’s so hard finding good take out food Chinese. The price is reasonable. Unfortunately the egg rolls were pretty dry, like it was sitting out all day. But the Governer’s Chicken dish was very good. The chicken wasn’t all soggy or full of only batter. The only day it isn’t open is Tuesday. So far, this is the only fairly cheap and edible chinese food take-out. The location of the restaurant is in this tiny strip mall, parking is horrible, and I don’t think it’s a place where a lot of people go for a nice sit down and eat night.
