I really wish I came to Unilocal first before trying Anthony’s. My usual go-to bagel place is on vacation and when struck with a craving for a taylor ham egg and cheese I thought I’d stay close and try Anthony’s rather than hoof it to Bagel Buffet. I was in horror when I watched the woman microwave a bowl of scrambled eggs-taylor ham-cheese mix. I decided not to say anything because hey, sometimes things that look gross while they’re being made turn out tasting great. This was not the case. The eggs were rubbery and even a little green from the microwaving, the taylor ham didn’t have any taste at all from not being grilled. I will not be going back here, and hope that my normal spot comes back soon!

I got a bagel and egg sandwich only to find that they microwave their eggs and sausage. Rubbery to say the least.

I’ve been living In the area for a couple years now. Been trying to find good bagels for Sunday mornings. Every place either has good food and poor service or poor food with good service. This place falls in the poor food good service category. We order 2 Taylor Ham and cheese scrambled eggs straight out of the microwave. Yuck. I then ordered 2 bagels with cream cheese knowing I’ll be throwing the other two away. Brought them home. As expected both Taylor Ham sandwiches in the trash. Took a bite out of the plain cream cheese bagel. Hard as a rock and taste awful. Both of them in the trash. You can get the same results if you went to 7 – 11 or made a Jimmy Dean’s sandwich at home. Very disappointed and will not return.

Called this place to order some bagels. Was put on hold for about 5 minutes to then be answered by some obnoxious guy who immediately was extremely rude over the phone and told me to «Hurry it up» even though I hadn’t said more than 3 words since I called.

Just moved to Carlstadt and I was in the mood for Taylor ham egg and cheese so I figured I’d try Anthony’s. after I ordered a started pacing around and realized they have no grill. He then proceeded to put my eggs in the microwave. I was trying to figure out how to get out of the place without looking like an a$$hole but honestly the service was so nice I figured I’d try it out. The sandwich wasn’t really bad at all, it just wasn’t one made off the grill. The bagel was excellent. Would def go back for bagels

We were in the area and looking for a bagel spot… stopped in for 2 Taylor ham eggs and cheese. Didn’t notice there was no cook top until after I saw my eggs come out if the microwave… meh not my favorite way to get that sandwich but what can you do. The bagel was good and so was the coffee. Probably stick to one of the cream cheeses if I ever make it back.

I wasn’t a big fan of the bagels themselves, which were only average. A breakfast sandwich, which I thought was going to be a negative for its microwave-cooked egg, was actually pretty good but included tasteless bacon(WHAT???). Service brought this review from 2.5 to three stars, since the 2 guys working there were lovely. Cash only.

Anthony’s Bagel Brunch has outstanding bagels for a good price. Their bagels are HUGE and very filling. Their toppings are also excellent. Plus, they’re open seven days a week!
