Running late this morning so I figured I would call in the order(Trust me I was starving and I avoid this place like the plague)… silly me the phone rang 25 times and I called three times no answer. Everything bagel has very little«everything» on it. Come on guys step up to the plate or step off

Great sausage egg n cheese! Bagel was definitely good, but it wasn’t the best I’ve ever had.

This place has fallen off drastically. Their bagels & service use to be great, it was a husband and wife team that use to work there and they were so sweet and personable. The new staff is miserable, they never smile, never say thank you, are cheap with the cream cheese & butter. The bagels don’t taste as good anymore either, like their stale from the pervious day. The prices seem to change daily too, I get the same order but yet I pay a different price each time, sketchy. It’s sad, it use to be my favorite bagel place.

I come here every so often to pick up a bagel and tea before jetting off to work. The bagels are pretty tasty and filling… generous on the cream cheese(but not crazy generous). Both come in a variety of flavors(I usually get the garlic with scallion cream cheese). The place is basically take-out only, there’s no seating(save the window sill near the front door) and only enough space for customers to dip in and out. There’s never a crowd or a long wait(even dead early in the morning), which pleases me. And the staff are quite friendly. **CASHONLY**

ill give you 4 stars, sesame with a schmear and an iced coffee for less than dunks, +1, having a good bagel already put you way ahead of those punks. nice staff, id go back if in the area, but, tons more of good bagel options, not sure if i will make it back(on travel)

If you can count the seeds on your everything bagel, there aren’t enough. Once I was in there and they wanted to charge for toasting. The girls serving are nice. It’s not their fault. It’s Management. They have no competition so they can. Someone else could do better. A bagel with hardly any seeds on it is just cheap.

Nice staff, delicious bagels, low prices, parking lot across the street. Great!

Holy Claustrophobia Batman! The place is super small. There is absolutely no counter space, because of the baked goods. Other than that this place is nice, fast and delicious. The bagels have a great crust and are nice and soft on the inside. The cream cheese isn’t globbed on like it’s meant for 5 bagels. The prices are also pretty fair. Good, small bagel shop, in a small town.

I’ve had bagels in several towns in Westchester and so many of them seem to be lacking the basics of what makes for a good bagel. Hot and fresh is the most important, but my girlfriend and I really appreciate the fact that Hastings Bagel has Tofu Cream cheese to offer vegans. In fact, it was just this morning that we ordered 1 onion and 1 salted bagel. Both were fresh, soft and warm — just the way a bagel is meant to be. As bagel meccas like H & H(Manhattan) are disappearing, we need good people to preserve bagel integrity.

From the outside, Hastings Own Bagels is nothing particularly special. Residing on Main Street in Hastings, there is no particular indication that this bagel shop is any different from the myriad number of bagel storefronts scattered throughout Westchester County. Inside, however, you will be treated to what I have found to be the best bagels outside of New York City. I have been to many bagel places in the region and I find the bagels here to do the best job of showcasing what a real bagel should be all about: firm crust on the outside and soft and doughy on the inside(Too many bagelries go soft throughout). And while many places feature the same redundant selection of bagels, Hastings Own brings some creative new options to the table such as the Ali Baba(containing walnuts and chocolate chips), an oat-bran variation on the everything bagel, and, my personal favorite, the My Two Sons bagel which features poppy seeds, sesame seeds, and sunflower seeds. I often crave the My Two Sons bagel so much that if I suspect we have a big storm coming, I’ll tail it down to Hastings Own to pick up a batch to be stuck in the house with. It’s a bagel worth going out of the way for!
