I have waited several weeks before posting this, I went to Dr. Popescu for Botox that I purchased via Groupon. Let me start by saying I can be a bitchy old lady from Manhattan, I know what I want and what I’m looking for. I do tons of research on doctors, especially those doing Botox. I do not want some gyno who took a 6 week course on injections by plunging syringes into tomatoes for practice.
We enjoy going up to Westchester on the weekends, so after my reseach on Dr. Popescu, I booked an appointment for a Saturday morning and purchased my very reasonably priced Groupon. The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is that her phone/​appointment process is a nightmare. After leaving countless messages (sorry, this box is full, call back later) and that kind of nonsense, I finally got a human being to call me so we could schedule.
The office itself is clean, aesthetic and easy to find in this charming, small village. It’s just a few minutes drive out of Manhattan. Dr. Popescu took her time, talked to me at great length, didn’t keep me waiting and was very professional. She measured, let me know when she was about to inject and kept the needle sharp. I did have a small bruise on one of the injections that lasted for a few days which is not uncommon, I could easily hide it with my makeup.
I have 2 girlfriends that I have forwarded the Groupon to as I have received countless compliments. I will continue to recommend Dr. Popescu to all my ladies, my only hope is that she updates her appointment making policies.
