I just retired and some friends from my old job wanted to get together and have some breakfast. They are from Burnsville and River falls. One of them suggested Perkins, I said that would be fine but if they wanted more of a Hastings experience lets go to the Karl’s Red Rock. They had never heard of Karl’s before. The waitress was as usual, fantastic. She took our order gave us some suggestions and kept our coffee filled. I had the corned beef hash eggs and toast with potatoes and onions. Both my friends had country fried steak and eggs with hash browns. Everything was great. As we were leaving the staff wished us a good day. We decided to meet at Karl’s Red Rock Café every first Friday of the month for breakfast. My wife and I will have to visit the rest of the month.

Always friendly staff and ready to take your order. Always seated right away. Carmel rolls are to die for. I used to go there every Sunday after church. Haven’t been there in two years due to a move. Have moved back in town a still have great food and service. Took a friend there a few weeks ago. He thought it was very good.

Beware closed Tuesday and Wednesday’s. The winner of this was the Kitchen Table in Prescott, WI. Yummy! Thank for being closed.

I have been visiting Karl’s Red Rock Café since Karl opened it. My wife and I come here regularly because of great food and service. My wife tells me I should try something else of the menu which I have once or twice. They were great, but for me the breakfast of eggs, American Fries with Fried Onions, thick sliced bacon and a pancake are the best. I invite you to come enjoy a great meal and great service today.

The best breakfast I have ever had!!! You can tell that everything is made fresh. I had the Cajun hash brown and my husband had the eggs Benedict with bacon. Great, friendly service. Definitely coming back here soon!

Awesome breakfast place with quaint smalltown décor. We sat at the counter and were envious of every plate that was brought out. We’ll definitely be back to try something else from the menu and we’ll need to bring the kids. Highly recommend the blueberry pancakes!

I ate breakfast here and got the Italian scramble and chose a pancake as my side instead of toast. It was good. Sliced Italian sausage, egg, mushrooms, green peppers, and onions all scrambled together and topped with provolone cheese. You get a decent portion, but I still think over $ 8 is steep. My only complaint is that they put the whole scramble on a plate and throw a single, circular slice of cheese in the middle. So most of it is not covered in cheese. The pancake was good, very large, but pretty thin. I also got a chocolate malt which was awesome. The waitress was telling me that she has been getting creative with the shakes and malts and can make all kinds of different flavors that aren’t on the menu(like turtle or Black Forest).

Great little café. Had breakfast while taking The Great River Rd back to Chicago. Their potatoes were especially delicious — I like crispy potatoes and bacon. That’s what I was served!

Mushroom and swiss is good. Great atmosphere for infants. Pancakes only cooked on one side. After being seated on a Sunday at 12:30, it was 1:10 when food arrived. Okay place to eat if you have time.

Famous for its eggs Benedict. They do not disappoint. The Jeannie’s way version with the tomato was delicious. The owner was there and helping to keep the meal service on the time in the morning wearing his suit and tie.

The food and service were both good. The building was clean was a slight retro-vibe. This café had many options for coffee, pastries, and desserts too-not just breakfast and lunch. I’ll be back!
