Being an avid mystery reader and current president of TC SinC(Sisters in Crime) led me here. The Inn Crowd is sponsored by Chapter 2 Books in Hudson. The third Thursday of every month a featured local author will be appearing. William Kent Krueger kicked this off. I couldn’t believe the crowd it drew, about 30. Bookstore appearances can be hit or miss, but this setting hits it out of the park. I am a huge fan of B&B’s, and this place is like a smaller version of the Rittenhouse Inn. It’s that elegant. This is an excellent choice for a staycation. I know I’ll be staying over in the winter months. Innkeepers tend to be very special people. Paul and Sandy Ostrem from Apple Valley are beyond amazing and are also very community involved, she works with at risk children. There are some good restaurants in this neighborhood. Hastings is on the way to Red Wing and have great places to stay as well. Just don’t pass this one up on the way to or from.

Elegance and charm in Hastings, MN. The inn has been lovingly renovated by the new owners Sandy and Paul. Their pride of ownership and desire to please their guests is evident. We stayed in the Cove room which was full of natural light from a skylight above the bathroom. The king size bed was very comfortable. Large shower, Jacuzzi tub and a separate bathroom sitting area with a fireplace. What a hidden gem!

REFURBISHEDANDRE-OPENEDUNDERNEWOWNERS. The old Classic Rosewood is now the Historic Inn on Ramsey Street. The Inn itself has been repainted and the inside is bright, cheery, and clean. It still has all of its charm and character intact. I was there when they first re-opened and cannot say enough wonderful things about the Inn or its new owners.
