Janelle’s team did the hair and makeup for my wedding, and they were great. From my first contact with Janelle, she made me feel so special and like she was just as excited for my big day. Janelle completely understood how important it was that I felt relaxed and confident with my look, and she really took the time to learn about my personality and my vision. I did my trial with Lindsay and Kelly. They really listened to my ideas and took time to make sure I was totally happy. On my wedding day, the team was calm, professional, sweet, etc. etc. The whole process was stress-​free, and everyone was happy with their looks. I’d highly recommend Janelle and her team.

Janelle is truly a delight to work with. Besides being a wonderful person, she is very talented at what she does. Janelle did my hair for my wedding and it was perfect. She took the time to get to know me and what I was looking for to ensure, that the day of, I got what I was hoping for.

Janelle was such a pleasure to work with in the lead-​up to and on the day of our wedding! She was so responsive to e-​mails, and immediately picked up on the vibe I was looking for. She traveled to my house for my hair/​makeup trial the day of our engagement photos, and was just so skillful and kind — it was so nice just spending time with her! Janelle also came to my house to give me a «Deva curl» haircut, and it’s the best haircut I’ve gotten in Philly so far!
On the day of the wedding, Janelle and her assistants showed up ready to work on eight ladies’ hair and makeup, and were totally calm and professional all day. They helped create such a positive environment while we were getting ready, and everyone was thrilled with the results. I definitely recommend Janelle!

There’s a reason all of Janelle’s ratings are a 5 of 5. It’s because she’s AMAZING! She’s adorable and impossible not to like. It felt more like a girlfriend coming over who just happened to be cutting my hair while we chatted away. I was apprehensive at first, because her rate is double what I’ve ever paid, but then I factored in the fact that she came to my house and that even after paying an exorbitant amount for a stylist at a salon, I was never truly wowed. Janelle’s visit lasted about two hours. She brought all of the necessary supplies and spent an incredible amount of time actually teaching me about the products and how to use them so I could replicate the style after she left (something I’m never able to do). I learned about my hair’s porosity (VERY high!) and the necessary amount of moisture (A LOT!). My hair looked amazing afterwards (I usually have to put it in a pony after a cut because I never like the way it’s styled) and I had adorable second day curls the next morning (first time ever). At the end of our session she had the products available if I wished to purchase, but I didn’t feel pressured to buy anything. The worst part about the whole experience is that I didn’t find her until the week before I moved out of the area, but after years of traumatic experiences with stylists I’m probably going to trek back to her (or figure out how to bribe her to visit!). I HIGHLY recommend Janelle — she’s worth every penny!

Having a stylist come to my house is a total luxury, and I’m not used to spending money of beauty related expenses! But having Janelle tame my curls, and teach me how to deal with my hair, is well worth the cost. Janelle is kind, sweet, and genuine. She is clearly passionate about helping curly haired ladies get great haircuts! She comes with everything she needs: stool, hood dryer, and Deva hair products. If you have curly hair, and have never had your hair cut by someone who is specifically trained in curly hair, call Janelle!
