We have been original members since the pool opened. A family of 6 paying $$ 1 year to a family of 4 paying$$$? I don’t get it. My family is smaller than before and I pay more now. Not to mention that they change the rules on a whim and now my son who has passed his swim test to get his yellow band, won’t be allowed to get a membership without me because he’s 13 and now has to be 14. I stopped buying memberships altogether and invested into YMCA memberships and we swim all year round instead of a few weeks.

I have been a member for several years with my kids and always have loved this pool. Unfortunately it’s really gone downhill this year. I hear it being talked about all the time amongst members too. The lifeguards aren’t paying attention and rules aren’t being enforced. I don’t think they are even being told to people that buy day passes. Forget the announcements about the rules made over the loud speaker by the staff. You can’t even hear them. Especially the yellow band rule… I saw a girl that couldn’t swim today in the lap pool, neither could her mom that was sitting on the edge so what good was she… we were right under the lifeguard stand and another guest was the one to grab the girl… not the lifeguard.
I really really hope they are listening to what’s being said by long time members and make some changes.

After spending close to $ 100.00 to have what we thought would be a great time, I can’t seem to understand the pool rules. I was told my 3 year old daughter could not wear her safety tube because it was not coast guard approved. She has the yellow swim school tube that acts as a vest. We were given a life jacket that did need even fit her and she hated it. What I can’t understand is that they would allow, her to go in the same pools unprotected with no safety best, but yet still wouldn’t allow her tube. Even when I’m inches away from her. Seems like more of a liability to go in unprotected that protected. I have never had this problem at ANY other local pool. I for sure would never waste another dime at this place.

I love our beach pool. Every year our daughter goes to camp there for the summer. So much fun for the entire family. Go Sharks!
