Wow! Amazing service, fantastic food, incredible prices. My parents have raved about this place, so we went for lunch today. Great daily specials. $ 8 for an entrée, 2 sides, dessert and drink?! No complaints.
I had chicken parmesan, which came with a big side of spaghetti, green beans with onions and bacon, side salad (lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, croutons, carrots, Ranch dressing), bread pudding, and sweet tea. All of it was just awesome.
Server/dishwasher/cashier/hostess was super nice and funny. Owners were so friendly. I can’t imagine not coming back. A lot.

New owners, Larry and Russell are making a go of this «diner». Breakfast and lunch served Mon-Fri with breakfast only on Weekends.
We stopped here on our way home from a vacation for breakfast and The Gate didn’t disappoint. The food was excellent and the service friendly and helpful. The owners were accommodating to a «gluten free» member of our group and offered alternatives for another seeking a «healthier» breakfast.
Food prep for some might be considered a little slower than usual. Our group enjoyed the time learning about the entertaining new owners.
