Stopped here randomly. Good food and service. Small place, nice feel. Ate mashed potatoes, meat loaf, wings, and pizza. All very good! I don’t believe I’ve ever had pizza like this in Florida.

What a pleasant surprise this was! Coming in from Tallahassee on Hwy 27 you’ll pass a Dollar General on the left, and Granny’s is on the right, sharing a parking lot with a little pizza shop. The décor is just what you’d expect from any respectable meat-and-three: cheap, comfortable chairs arranged around formica tables, and so much community ephemera tacked up you can only assume there are walls underneath. The people are very, very nice, and you’ll feel welcome the minute you walk in. As for the food, it’s SPECTACULAR. The fried chicken is absolutely perfect, with crispy, beautifully-spiced skin and meat so moist and flavorful you could eat it plain. We had green beans(piping hot, not canned, and cooked with a ton of bacon), macaroni and cheese(fresh and good, not the stuff you normally find that’s been sitting around for a few hours getting hard), and biscuits and rolls(hot, delicious, and apparently homemade). Don’t be put off by the drive. It’s no worse than driving from midtown to Killearn, and it is well worth it.
