Magnolia Cafe

The food is outstanding. The coffee is great, too. My favorite thing to get is their English muffin breakfast sandwich with bacon, eggs, and cheese. For some reason, I cannot make sandwiches that taste as good as theirs do! I love love their scones with cream and orange marmalade. It’s wonderful with an iced latte, also made very well.
We have come here every summer for several years, when we visit my family in the area.
The only reason why this place got such low ratings from me is that for this summer and last summer, they haven’t been open. Looks like something bad may have happened to their family because that’s what the outdated sign says on their door. :(I hope they’re OK and that their daughter is OK. From a business perspective, I would have hired some employees to keep the place going or just close for good.

Well worth the drive to Havana… fresh ingredients, great recipes, all dishes are well done. Soups during the cold months are outstanding. Good local store. Would have given five stars except that it is only open Wed — Saturday. Try it out… you’ll be glad you made the trip.

Almost every weekend after some loops and rolls in the decathlon in Quincy, we had to the Magnolia Café for the best waffles around. I’m told the secret is the malt in the batter. The breakfast sandwiches are great too!
