The food was phenomenal! Wine list is diverse, why there aren’t more people here, I will never know! The only thing is that they need more advertisement! It’s a hidden gem! It’s a small space with a delightful feel! I went on a Tuesday evening, and was easily seated at 7PM

Restaurant has re-opened in its original location after a year or so of being closed/changing names(changed to Heel and Toe and then back to Bistro 45). Food is as good as I remember. Menu looks similar to the former Bistro 45 menu. Fantastic Tuesday thru Thursday specials– 2 entries with bottle of wine for $ 50.

As of this writing, this place has 2.5 stars, which makes no sense to me. I’ve been here only once, but it was one of the 2 best meals I’ve ever had. It’s cozy, it’s cute, the food is delicious. I’d say this is the best meal in town. Yes, better than Haverhill’s other classy establishments, Keons, Essex St, Blue Fin and Evenfall. Admittedly, they haven’t updated their website in forever, and I have no idea why they bill themselves as a tapas bar. As long as you’re not looking for tapas or flash, it’s not a problem.

Food ok but the service was horrible. Different menu then what they had online. Went on a Thursday around 6:30, pretty much the only people in the place at that time. The bartender/server spend more time on the people at the bar then the people at the tables. So when they state you can sit anywhere you want you should sit at the bar if you want service. In 45 mins we got one drink and the people at the bar got 3 – 4. Also there was no salt or pepper at the table(weird), and trust me the food needed it. I was highly disappointed and will never go there again!!!

the best find of the year !!! located upstairs from another Haverhill staple, Peddlers Daughter, this place is a super cozy hideaway. The menu is ample and shows great range with a bit of a Latin feel to it, but definitely not singular in its focus. The bar is the jewel in the crown, all of the bartenders and staff are wonderful and ready with a drink within moments of arriving.

We went here for our Valentine’s day dinner, because we were looking for something different. The atmosphere is very nice; it’s small and cozy inside. Our drinks were good. The soup and salad we ordered were very good, in fact the chef’s soup was white bean soup, and excellent(you can’t really screw up a salad). Our main dishes were not really something to write home about. The sides on my dish were very good; the squash spaghetti was better than my chicken in my opinion. My husband’s steak was just okay. We were a little bit disappointed, since it was advertised as a «martini and tapas bar». I love tapas, and that’s why we went there. They were very much lacking in tapas. There were only maybe 4 appetizers, that I assume were the tapas. The martinis were what you can get downstairs at the Peddler’s Daughter(in fact our main dishes were almost identical to their options). So overall it was cute and cozy, but the food was just mediocre. If you are deciding between a cute and cozy place, or a pub, I would choose between this place the PD, since they share a kitchen. We prefer the Peddler’s Daughter.

My husband and I came here for ‘date night’ one Friday night because we had a coupon. We were pleasantly surprised! The food was outstanding and the added touch of having the chef(maybe the owner?) sit down with us and chat was an added bonus. Nice menu and the food was outstanding… my husband had the short ribs, which which were delish! The bar has a very cool atmosphere as well.
