DP Nails

I went in last night and didn’t realize they were already closed, but they took me anyway where most people would turn you away! They are the best!

DP has been the only place I have my Fill and Pedicures done for the last 5 years. Tammy is always great about fitting everyone in when they call and my nails come out looking great! Every technician I have had there is professional and focused. Unlike many other nail salons DP does not rush you out fast. Best salon in Haverhill!

My typical nail salon was closed, so I came here in a pinch… and got the absolute WORST manicure of my life. A few hours after I left with my manicure, I had irritation under my nails, and around my nail bed. By the next morning, the infection was so bad, I had numbness at the tips of many of my fingers. Unsanitary, unhealthy… bottom line I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy.

Absolutely terrible! I went in for a shellac removal and mani and over the course of the time I was there, three different woman worked on my nails. First, they removed my shellac using the drill tool which was not comfortable at all. Then, the woman who was to cut and file my nails didn’t understand that I wanted them cut at all – I had to say it several times and have one of the other women explain it to her. My nails were uneven lengths and ragged on the edges. The girl who painted my nails was about 14 and did a decent job with what she was given from the woman before, but the poor cut and filing made it impossible to get an even coat. I’ve had the shellac mani in for about 5 days now and two of my nails have had the paint chip and peel off in large chunks. I’m on my way to a wedding now and needless to say, I’m disappointed with how the nails held up. I only went in because I was short on time and couldn’t make it to my regular salon and I would certainly not go there again. I should have checked Unilocal!

Please do not get waxed at DP Nails! They are very unsanitary and used baby oil. The waxer did not ask how I wanted my eye brows done and she did what she wanted. Then applied endless amount of baby oil to my face by putting her finger into the bottle. It was terrible. Nails fine, wax= spare your skin!

I go to DP nails every once in a while and I have been pleased every time I go there. The people are always very friendly and the prices are reasonable. I think one of the reviews above is very unfair saying she went home with an infection because she was probably just allergic to the products, and thats not the salons fault. I definitely recommend DP nails to anyone :)

Im giving this place one star. Only because the woman tech i had was oh so nice and did good looking work. Unfortunately good looking nails is not all i went home with. I went here because i was desperately needing a fill, i have been working in boston and between that and housesitting here in haverhill, i didnt have time to visit my regular nail salon. So i ultimately end up going to dp nails — since its convienent to the house im staying at. Long story short, i come home returning with a pretty nail set and an ugly infection on my middle finger, that hurts terribly! Fair to say they do not properly clean/​sanitize their tools (i know especially bc i work in a salon and wash my hands religiously, on top of sanitizing everything!) What a waste of $$ I will not be returning.
