Jake’s Barber Shop

Took my son there a while back — first cut at a barber vs. a hair salon. I have to say I was very happy with the cut– the barber took his time to be sure it was perfect– it was a completely different look for my son and I could not have chosen it better. Now I take both of my boys there and I am even thinking about bringing my daughter there since she wants some kind of funky razor stuff for the back of her hair. The guys in there are very friendly and entertaining also.

Went here last week for a cut during my break from work. Walked in to get a blank stare from the barber followed by him asking what I wanted like I was bothering him. He then got up and said he had to take a phone call on his cell phone and stepped outside for 10 minutes while I was stuck waiting in the chair for him to come back. As I was deciding to leave he finally came back in so I decided to stay. I told him I wanted a 5 on top faded to a 3 on the sides. I was then told a 5 is a little shorter than finger and questioned if that was what I really wanted. I said yes so he started. As he made it to the sides and back as he was set up for a 1 he asked «did you want a 1 or 2 on the sides?» I just said «whatever go with the 1»
When the cut was finally done it wasn’t bad although not what I actually asked for and the price was ok. However, with the amount of options just on that one street to get a hair cut I don’t see myself going back to a place where the customer isn’t number 1

Im new in Haverhill, no idea where to get a cut. Got a fade and a line up done here after finding jakes on Unilocal.Cool guys workin there, small but unique interior decorating. Cut was good, not the best ive ever had, only reason i didnt give 5 stars. Theres a ton of barber shops on washington ST im gonna figure out whos the best. Overall good cut and I recommend Jakes.

This place is great. First time in today. Really good, professional cut. I will most definitely be back.
Prices are average. The barber I had took his time and did a nice job. Highly reccomended.

Best cut on the North Shore never mind Haverhill. You pay for the comedy show and the cut is free. A bunch of solid and dedicated artists there.
