P & J Alterations

My down coat fits like a glove! Pete was able to take in about 4 inches and now the fit is perfect! He was friendly, professional and very accommodating. Since the weather has been colder and I was stuck with a thinner coat, he went to work right away and had my down coat ready two days earlier than he said he originally would. Such a nice guy! Made my day to get my warm coat back the next day. Thanks again, Pete!

Love Pete! I’ve been going to him for years and he never disappoints! I’ll be very upset when he finally retires. I get all my pants hemmed by Pete, and I’ve even brought him bridesmaid dresses. Happy with everything I get done.

I found myself stuck on a Friday evening on my way to a wedding rehearsal with a broken dress zipper for the wedding the following day. After having no luck with getting the zipper fixed at a few local dry cleaners, I remembered the good things I heard about P&J. I popped in, and much to my surprise, my request to fix my dress zipper was accommodated. This was handled expertly and professionally and with the utmost care. My dress was done before 10:00 the following day. I would not have had a dress has it not been for timing, and the kindness of the owner. Thank you so much!!! I will be back!

The reason my father is only open Thursday-​Saturday is because he does all the work himself, and to ensure the greatest quality, he requires the extra time every week to complete all alterations. He has over 40 years experience, managing custom clothing factories in his earlier years, as well as working in some of the most prestigious men’s custom suit companies in the city. He has an incredible eye for detail and understands how clothing is made. It is very difficult to find employees matching his expertise and perfectionism. As retirement nears, for a man in his mid sixties, he still has an extremely loyal following, with customers coming for many years, from all over the country. He is extremely grateful, and has enjoyed doing what he loves. We hope that this has given you a bit more insight as to why he is only open a few days.
