The server was fine and the food was on time and enjoyable. It was after the meal that I did not enjoy. I had ordered chicken fajitas which comes out sizzling, as with most restaurants. This pan was in a larger porcelain bowl, which seemed ok to me. After the meal, I lifted the pan and(I uploaded a photo) there was shredded lettuce underneath the pan, which, at this point, was burnt/wilted. This was off-putting to me, so I asked to see a manager. He approached the table announces, with what seemed to be a bowing, condescending gesture«How may I be of service to you?». I proceeded to tell him that the food was fine and the server was good, but, while showing what I saw, this was off putting and if anything, made me question other dishes, etc. So I asked him why this was there because this doesn’t seem normal to me. He then asked, «Can I answer the question?». So he proceeds to tell me the shredded lettuce was placed there so the skillet doesn’t slide off the bowl in which it was placed. Now, I’ve worked in restaurants most of my life, from dishwasher to server to manager at mostly casual restaurants. That has never been a technique as far as I know. I told him that this was quite gross, and he just said something along the lines«sorry it this was an inconvenience.» It’s not the convenience, it’s the«gross» factor of a guest that should have been addressed. Obviously management didn’t think this through that maybe the guest wouldn’t want to see something like this. Additionally, it’s a horrible cost cutting piece. Buy trivets, it’s a better presentation than having an oversized bowl on my table supporting a skillet. Which additionally adds to the weight. Honestly, I’ve avoided this restaurant, but with friends who wanted to eat there, I thought I’d give it one more shot. Well, no more. Hospitality is key in any restaurant. Especially from a manager. A simple smile would have sufficed, instead of a bow, and listening to me and apologizing for my experience, not explaining it with questionable kitchen techniques. I honestly have no care about why it was there, it was gross. My safety was never in question. Kudos to the server, though. She smiled and was courteous.

Went to BB to grab a bite and watch the games. The food was great and service was quick. The reason they didn’t get 5 stars was because the games were on mute and the radio was playing. I went to this sports bar to watch sports not listen to the today’s hits station. Our server Britney was cool and attentive.

We ate at Bill Batemans a couple of times. Really average to below average food. Good place to grab a drink with friends, if you don’t mind the food. Nothing special here, not a place to take a date, more like a neighborhood pub for a quick drink and fries or an expensive but below average burger.

This place has pretty good wings and quite a wide variety of sauces to choose from. I prefer the classic New York style. I’ve only visited during lunch but the food is good. The one thing to note is that service can be slow probably due to the food being prepared fresh. I just wouldn’t stop by if you’re in a hurry.

Went in at 7PM on a Sunday night. Brought to table by an indifferent hostess who was also busy taking phone orders. We sat at the table for over ten minutes. A waitress walked by a couple of times without stopping. Two other waiters were talking to friends at tables. I looked around for some adult supervision but there was none. We left and spent our money elsewhere. Worst service ever!

Cannot say enough about this establishment. We had an event there last night they were just so accommodating and helpful the service was excellent the food was excellent. We held a fundraiser for an injured coworker and it could not have been easier to host. Christian the owner is a wonderful human being and he took great care of us and our guests and his staff. If you ever need to hold an event it would be a great place to consider. They supplied us with a tent attached to the restaurant and we had a DJ and dancing and a great evening of fun was had by all.

We visit Bateman’s of HdG every Friday and have for several years. Boneless wings are awesome — no matter the flavor! I also love their crab soup. We were a little disappointed when the menu got edited as a result of a corporate decision, but they have excellent specials. The staff has always been super friendly and courteous! If you’re looking for a friendly place to have a bite to eat with friends, or a couple of drinks at the ar — we highly recommend it!

I rarely give 5 stars, but I have to say that as many times as my family and I have eaten here, there has only been a couple times we had an issue. And we noticed that when there are issues, the staff and the management take care of it right away. The food is way above par no matter what you order. Go on wing night — $ 9.99 all you can eat and don’t think you have to stick to the flavors on the menu. They will mix up what you want — just ask! It is clean, efficient and most the time the wait staff is fantastic(again, only a few incidents where it wasn’t and those people are long gone). The owner and the manager are GREAT and pitch in rather than stand around when help is needed. IMPRESSIVE! And if you have an event that needs catering, talk to the owner, Christian. His staff does a GREAT job preparing a menu and the food. Can’t rave enough!

Wanted to love but it was boring — nothing special– music terrible– lil over priced. On the positive the service from the bartender was on point. I had the wings buffalo(pictured) nothing special. Scrawny with very little meat. Had better from local Chinese take out. I won’t be returning…

Pretty good wings, decent bar, good service. This place is almost never busy, but is busy enough to stay in business. I like it better than most places in the area. Recommended

They aren’t lying when they say they have the best wings in town. Their wings are cooked perfectly — nice and crispy on the outside and juicy inside. My personal favorite are the old bay wings. We have never had a poor experience here, in fact the service has always been good.

Went there for lunch this Tuesday. I’ve probably eaten there a dozen or so times and the food has never been anything to brag about. Service is so so. On this visit I chose the Chesapeake Quesadillas as did my friend. We got the entrée which advertised Fresh Jalapenos and that they were. All 3 slices! I asked the waitress for some more and after a pretty long wait was told they were out! What? It’s lunch time! Well what they had was darn tasty

Takes forever to get our food and we were ignored most of the time… I had the sliders and they were just okay, nothing special… Surprisingly they are very busy during lunch. If your here in a group setting, expect to be there for at least 1.25 hours…

Thai Chili Wings… yeah buddy! OMG… This is one is my favorite places to go for lunch. They have the best Crab preztel… the lumps of crab on top of a warm soft pretzel… drenched in cheese and Old Bay seasoning… UMH! the Thai Chili Wings are the best around… the wings are cooked longer so they have a crunch to them and then covered in the Thai Chili sauce… sweet with a little spice! Delicious… Oh Yeah who did I go to lunch with again: o) Good Food… Fair Price

In the mood for wings, burgers, and/or beer? Bateman’s is decent, but nothing special.

The wings are great, the service is horrible. We once waited at the front desk while the receptionist and a waitress finished their conversation.(No hello, I’ll be with you in just a moment.) Drinks don’t get refilled promptly. Staff drops your food off and you are lucky to see them again before they bring the check.

Good local restaurant in Aberdeen, MD for lunch, happy hour, and dinner. The best wings in town… please try the NY Style, Old Bay, or the Original. Also, happy hour is 3 to 7 with great specials, and Monday Night is all you can eat buffalo wings. If you are in APG Bill Bateman’s is a must stop for good eats.
