This is a very cool and great historical landmark. From the outside. Inside you will find the three story high picture of falling apart. There was a very long line so I recommend coming here in the fall instead. When we got to the staircase I immediately saw a sign that said«needs paint job». They were right, everywhere we looked the paint was just chipping. Once your done climbing the surprisingly beautiful steps, the director makes you climb up a rickety metal ladder to the light. The light is very pretty, but the best thing about it is the beautiful view of the cheasepeake bay. Will come here again

This is a charming place and was a lovely little stop on a road trip my husband and I were on. Beautiful weather didn’t hurt either. We enjoyed the quiet town on a pleasant walk through. It was pretty cool to go up into the lighthouse too. What a view! The gentleman there who was keeping the line moving was full of fun facts and very entertaining. We also visited the light house keepers house. It was packed with information and artifacts. Everything was free but they do ask for donations. Make sure you sign the guest book at each location also. They get credit for that and it helps them get money to continue operating.

Bottom Line: A nice historical landmark on the northern end of the Chesapeake Bay. The Concord Point Lighthouse is the image that many people associate with Havre De Grace. The lighthouse and the accompanying keeper’s house are cute and quaint and sit on the edge of the bay where it meets the Susquehanna River which can result in turbulent waters. April through October visitors can climb the lighthouse for free although there are some restrictions on age and a recommendation to wear sturdy shoes for the final climb up the ladder. When you get to the top of 26 steps and 7 wrung ladder you can enjoy sweeping views of the Chesapeake Bay. If you can spare a few dollars, donations are appreciated and go towards repainting and restoring the lighthouse as necessary. After all, if I lived to be 188 years old I know I would need a little cosmetic work too!

Adorable and nicely restored lighthouse that’s open Saturday and Sunday afternoons from April through September, Concord Point is worth a visit! You can climb up into, but the lighthouse is not all that tall, so it’s not a strenuous climb, although the last part is a simple metal ladder and not-so-wide opening. The climb is free, but they have a box for donations. The light keeper’s house across the street has been beautifully restored, and has good information and exhibits on the history of the lighthouse itself and the keeper’s house. The house also has a small gift shop. Next to the lighthouse you’ll find the Promenade boardwalk, which is also absolutely worth visiting.

Beautiful lighthouse, rich with history. I love the boardwalk and Tydings Park. Makes for a great day out with the family. I was recently married here and the lighthouse will always hold a special place in my heart :)

A great place to take a walk and get some fresh air. The lighthouse is small but beautiful and overlooks a small marina with docked boats. Walkway is friendly for strollers, children, families, anyone! Very peaceful.
