Went here to celebrate our anniversary. This place is amazing! The staff is wonderful. We got free champagne for celebrating there. The food is by far the best in HdG. We’ll definitely be back!

Our first time here. We were pretty much the only people there at first, so we took full advantage of having the bartender to ourselves for answering our questions, etc. It was a Friday about 3:30 pm when we arrived, but it was filling up as we were leaving at about 6pm, and every single table was already marked reserved, as well as some spots at the bar. So make reservations for the weekend nights for sure. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was very nice. Outdoor seating was closed, as it is December, so never got to see it. The lounge is nice with couches and coffee tables, where you can sit and have your meal there as well. But we like sitting at the bar. Service was very nice and seemed well trained and informative. They have wine tastings, and classes, but I think you must visit the website for more info. The hubby and I enjoyed the crab ravioli, Asian meatballs, Baked Brie, Olive Tapenad Flat bread, lemon coffee cake, and cheesecake. They were all good. Our bill was quite high, however, that’s probably because we continued tasting the wines to figure out what we wanted. They have very reasonable priced(mostly) wines mixed in with the rest. We just wanted to try what we hadn’t before. All in all a great experience and will go back for sure! The parking is on the street, and there are shops all around this establishment, for a wonderful day out experience. However the small town shops do close early, so an early day trip for shopping and visiting the Vineyard would be best. FYI: the dinner menu starts everyday at 3pm. They open at 11:30 am til 11pm. Bottom line, great place and we’ll go back soon.

We had high expectations for lunch here but were sadly disappointed. My friend ordered a salad but asked to substitute the dressing for one offered on another salad. We were told there are NO substitutions. She asked for bread to go along with the salad, but was told that wasn’t an option — the bread was matched for each entrée. The server returned and said there was bread available, but at a charge. It turns out we were charged $ 4.00 for 2 slices of stale white bread. The chicken salad Naan wrap was pretty good, as was the turkey wrap. But the $ 4.00 bread upcharge didn’t sit well with us, service was slow, and we were seated in a library-like room with uncomfortable backless chairs. We won’t rush back to this place.

Been here once or twice for lunch and dinner. Staff is friendly, and it’s a fancy atmosphere. Nice place to take a date. I’m a big fan of the baked potato soup, but I’ve never had anything bad at this location. I didn’t even know they had a courtyard, I’ll have to go back sometime soon and check it out!

The Vineyard is a hidden gem in downtown Havre de Grace. Atmosphere was cozy, especially the lounge area in the back. The service was exceptional, knowledgeable of various wines and offered suggestions. Overall, it was a pleasant experience, will definitely return.

Cozy atmosphere with extensive wine options. We came for only dessert and cocktails so this review is based on that only. We’ve been wanting to come here for a while and it did my disappoint. The fireplace and wine store atmosphere was intriguing. Our server gave us great suggestions and we walked out with a great bottle of wine that is exclusive made for The Vineyard. We’ll definitely be back!

So happy we found this place. The wine list is impressive and very affordable. The cheese plate was beautiful. What we thought was part of the plate design was actually balsamic vinegar and other sauces made to look like a bunch of grapes. Very pretty. Seating in the courtyard was nice until two spiders decided to build their webs above our heads. Yeah, we decided to cut our visit short because of this. Even though we all agreed how spiders do serve a purpose in killing mosquitoes, having them dangle above our heads was not comfortable. Will we come back again? Absolutely! Aside from the critters, the wine list is impressive and the service was great. Maybe we will sit inside the restaurant on our next visit.

This was my second experience going to a wine bar, so I wasn’t expecting much. Saw this spot in my Unilocal searches and decided to try with my friend. My friend and I decided to sit out back and good choice because there was no wait! Haha. Extremely quaint vibe in a quaint area. It was a really really chill spot. Wine: Many wine offerings. My friend and I selected a red wine-something Sarah? I’m not a big vino, but I enjoyed it and so did my friend because she’s had it before. Food: Well they’re tapas portion(my first experience by the way) so you know it’s not a lot, but that’s what makes it fun to try many items on the menu. I had the crab meat ravioli and that was pretty good and then I had the Jamaican jerk pork with mango sauce-so good! I don’t remember what my friend had, but she said it was good. Service: Excellent. The server, he was very knowledgeable and friendly. Never rushed us at all. Being unfamiliar with the area my friend and I decided to ask how to pronounce Havre De Grace and a little bit of information about this area and wow, mindblown! Price: Well I knew it’d be expensive but definitely was affordable. The bottle of wine was $ 31 and each tapas was $ 11 or so. Overall, I’d visit here again if I was in the area. Havre De Grace is a pretty cool town with some rich history so check it out!

Wow had a really nice time at this place when visiting for the day. The wine list and affordability is amazing. I am not a huge wine connoisseur but they had some really complex wines and different wines i have never heard of. They had a nice list and what I really loved was that you can get 3 oz tastes of many of them. I am a light weight and 2 glasses of wine puts me to bed, so getting to try a few was great. They have the grape, the region and the name but they don’t have a description which i would love, i hate to bother the waitress each time and like to read about each one. The staff were very friendly and helpful with any questions however. The food menu was great and we wanted to try everything. We had 2 cheeses we had never heard of before — the momte and teit … something which were both quite nice. Momte i liked more a bit like a swiss cheese and lighter. the other one is shaved cheese and has a deeper taste that is a bit sharper. With the 2 cheeses we also got the salami. All served on a cheese board with walnuts and fig jam. the bread served was all crispy — i would prefer a bit softer bread, maybe a few crispy pieces and a few softer pieces but that’s really splitting hairs. Crab ravioli was excellent and would recommend. Watermelon tower was very nice and drizzled with honey which i love. We got the baked brie in a pastry served with some balsamic vinegar which was delicious. The chicken saltimboco entrée was expensive for a smaller than expected plate and wasn’t my favorite but still was good. For dessert we opted for 2 dessert drinks — the Port from Portugal which was really delicious and then a white from Madeira that was coffee/caramel/toffee which was good but not for me and the BF loved it. Our bill was definitely over 100 but we were stuffed and had a great time. They have an outdoor garden in the back which we enjoyed sitting in and there is even a fan out there. However to use the restrooms, you have to go around in through the main entrance. Not a huge deal but just unusual and caught me by surprise. Would recommend and would return

Excellent food and wine. They seemed to be understaffed on a Sunday afternoon. Our waiter was less than attentive and the service was beyond leisurely. Dessert was not very good but the Cubano and Turkey Cranberry sandwiches were spot on. We would definitely go back.

I went here for the first time last night. It was AMAZING! My friends and I always have a hard time with the large portion sizes at most restaurants. We love small plate restaurants because we can order the amount of food we plan to eat. We all ordered different items. It was all fantastic. Very delicious food. The pastry in the dishes is so light and delicate. We then ordered dessert and the wine ice cream is heavenly. Our service was perfect! Our server Jason was attentive but also realized that we just wanted to talk the night away so he didn’t interrupt us very often. He also brought a glass of champagne with a strawberry and candle out for my birthday! It was such a sweet surprise. I did notice that the food took a little longer to come out than most places however, we were looking for that because we love to talk and relax. It probably took a little time to create those masterpiece dishes. Seriously cannot explain how good the food is. Most places make us feel rushed. We didn’t feel that here. We arrived at 8pm and left when they closed at 10 pm.

I have been to The Vineyard many times and always enjoy it. This visit was exceptional, in great part due to the server, Brandi. She is poised, professional and welcoming. I enjoyed the East by Southwest Crab Salad which was even better than expected. Spinach, orange peppers, perfectly ripe tomatoes and corn laced with lime-avocado dressing then topped with a substantial amount of lump crab and artichokes. Perfect with a dry chardonnay.

Although I have eaten at the Vineyard several times, never a disappointment, yesterday evening I attended the wine basics course taught by Joe. I have been a wine consumer for over 25-years and was proud of my level of education and knowledge of wine. I basically took this class as something my girlfriend and I could do that was of interest to both of us. Boy was I surprised by what I did not know, what I did know that was wrong, and how much there was to know. Basically Joe teaches the correct way to identify a good wine from the label. Doesn’t sound like a lot but there is much to know about labeling of good wines vs. bad or average wine. Joe teaches about the types of wine, types of grape, areas of production and much more. The class was $ 25(at this time) but it was worth a heck of a lot more when you consider avoiding wines that are not worth the price and how much you learn, plus samples. I highly recommend this course and the Vineyard to all who read this review. The food is delicious and the appetizers are a really good way to have a light meal with a tasty beverage for a snack. Truly I have never had a bad experience at the Vineyard and will continue to patronize this great little restaurant for as long as I live in Havre de Grace.

My boyfriend and I met some friends here on Friday night in the quaint little town of Havre de Grace. The Vineyard is located on a street with a bunch of sleepy old shops and restaurants. Let me start by saying that our dinner at The Vineyard was a surprisingly high end experience. I split a bottle of Pinot Noir with one of our friends, his girlfriend got a glass of Prosecco, and my boyfriend ordered a Pinot Grigio. We were all very happy with our drink choices, and the wine selection was impressive. I think we were all silently kicking ourselves for not writing down what wines we ordered to purchase at the wine shop after dinner. For appetizers, we started with two flatbreads – the Prosciutto, which was accompanied by arugula and a sweetened balsamic, and also the Chorizo flatbread, which had a few chunks of mushroom on top. Both were fantastic – we devoured them. We then noshed on a charcuterie plate and Baked Brie. Wrapped in a puffed pastry and baked to creamy perfection, the Baked Brie was the highlight of my meal – I nearly fought my dining companions for the last bite. We got four entrees and split them all around – Asiago Chicken, Shrimp Skewers, Salmon Wellington, and the Pork Roulade. All of them were impeccable, but I think the Pork Roulade was superior – the amalgamation of flavors created a sort of explosion in my mouth for lack of a less cliché analogy. The combination of brie, apple, jam, baby spinach, and pork was unbeatable. Each couple finished their meal with the Flourless Chocolate Torte – very small, but still tasty. Just enough to punctuate the meal with something sweet and decadent. It is important to note that at The Vineyard, you do NOT receive large portions. Our waiter, who was attentive and easygoing, described the typical Vineyard plate size as a little larger than tapas. Personally, I prefer restaurants that offer small plate options because I like to sample a bunch of different things, so if you’re like me, you would love The Vineyard. I definitely plan on making another trip up North to revisit The Vineyard.

A very quaint and romantic dining experience nestled in the heart of small-town America, right here in Harford County. A bit pricey but well worth the orgasmic rapture your taste buds will experience here. Well over a 100 wine choices to pick from by either half-glass, glass, or bottle. Been here twice, both times the food was very good and service was impeccable. The prosciutto Flatbread is killer! The tuna tartar and spicey shrimp skewers are delicious. On French night we loved the Gruyère soufflé and I wanted to lick out the ramekin. This is the perfect special occasion experience you are looking share with that special someone.
