Pa’ani Ranch & ATV Adventures

Had a great horse ride on Feb 28^th. The ranch was beautiful and easy to find.
The horses were great and we had a fun time!
The only hang-​ups were when booking I did it online and called and no one responded. On my 2^nd call I was semi-​confirmed, so a couple days later I called again and we were confirmed. That was a little annoying. Also on the ride I loved our gals who were our guides but one talked to us the whole 1.5 hour ride! Maybe it was because we only had 2 riders in our group? I was completely fine to ride in silence and enjoy the beautiful scenery.
When we got back they served us chips, drinks and sherbet which was so refreshing!

Best horse back riding experience I’ve ever had. They took our larger group on their off day and we all had a blast even with the rain! The two cousins where amazing instructors and made everyone feel very comfortable on the ride even our 8 year old that has never riden before. The ride is long and they allow you to run your horse and go through wild life during the trail. Would recommend them to anyone we will see them again next year!

Loved our family experience here. Leah led my 12 yr old & I on an open range horse ride. She was great. Ride was awesome. Views of Kilauea, Mauna Loa, Mauna Kea. Saw all kinds of animals ranging on the pasture: cows, bulls, donkeys, other horses, sheep, goats, pig, mongoose. The cute farm dog followed us too. We cantered several times, best was galloping up the hill on the approach back toward barn. While we were on that ride, my husband & our younger child (almost 3 yr) stayed back with Donald from Pa’ani Ranch and led the little guy on a pony ride, tractor ride, and fishing. We all had a great time & would come back again. Loved the friendliness of the staff and also enjoyed chatting with Stephanie back at the barn learning more about the family farm while we had complimentary icecream, chips, & water.

This review is for the Horseback Riding Tour only.
5 people – 3 adults and 2 children, ages 8 and 10 – took 5 horses out on a sprawling ranch with lovely views and lots of animals. Our guide, Simon, was very friendly and knowledgeable. He matched the horses to the riders. He taught us how to control their horse with the proper commands and reins’ signals. The 2 hour tour was slow and relaxing at times, had great picture opportunities, and we were able to gallop the horses if we wanted up hills and through mud! There were barrel courses set up and wild berries and orchids that we were able to pick. Simon overall was patient and kind, and the ranch owners were wonderful.
In addition to the tour, they offered clean facilities, and snacks and drinks were served after the ride which consisted of rainbow sherbert, chips and soft drinks.
We were staying in the Kopoho Beach Community, and the drive was about 40 minutes.
We definitely recommend this ranch, and would love to return. (My mom had such a blast that she offered that the ranch owners call and stay at her house the next time they visit the SF Bay Area!)
**Important notes:
1. Kids 8+ only are able to ride horses.
2. Wear pants!
3. Bring a jacket/​windbreaker. It rains unexpectedly!

Amazing ATV experience!!! Friendly staff, great tour guide (James), and an experience you can’t get anywhere else. It’s on a 220 acre of land with horses, cows, lamas, goats, etc. They give you a chance to interact with the animals even did a little fishing. Great fun at a great value. Check them out! They also have Zipline as well.
