The service here is amazing! The servers all work together and they bring your meats and anything else you need very fast. They have a pretty good variety of meats to choose from and it’s really good. However, I take one star away only because the meat quality isn’t as good as other places I’ve had. But still it is satisfying and delicious. And of course the best and my favorite part about this place is the free unlimited ice cream! You can’t go wrong with free ice cream at the end.

Came here at 5:30pm yesterday and the place was packed already. We selected the option B $ 20.99 for adult. It came with marinated beef ribs and some other seafood items that we wanted that option A did not offer. Kid is $ 8.99 from 4 to 10 years old. Good deal for kids. Overall all of us were satisfied with the food. The only thing I did not like was the beef tongue which I usually would enjoy. The tofu soup was good. We did not eat much of the side dishes just ate mainly from the menu items. Service was ok. We had to flag down the waitress to re-order our food and water. That was ok because they were busy and they brought out the food very quickly. They offered at least 4 different kinda of ice-cream selections. I got the green tea ice cream and it was pretty good. Parking: plenty in the parking lot Will come back again if I am in the area.

Great kbbq joint but minus one star for the customer service I’ve experienced the last few times I’ve been here. They have been super slow and don’t seem to care that customers are waiting for Some service. This place is however, great value for the money with lots of different options. The ice cream at the end is a plus. Despite the shotty service lately, I will keep going back so long as quality remains the same.

Service was good, food was okay not the best I’ve had. Wait wasn’t too bad, waited about 10⁄20 minutes, for going around 9pm. Tried the calamari steak, fresh pork belly, prime brisket, top sirloin steak and steamed egg on top of all the mini sides that they have to offer right when you sit down. Brisket was the best meat we had that night. The thrifty ice cream to end the night was delicious! Green tea all the way, BUT I would recommend a better way to serve as it wasn’t all that sanitary looking with leaving everything out in the open for serving. I will give this place another try, as I believe in second chances.

One of the best KBBQ places if you want a quick meat fix. The restaurant isn’t flashy or trendy but the music is fun and upbeat. The staff is awesome. They check on you frequently and couldn’t be nicer. Also, free ice cream! This is a good place to come grab a beer with friends just don’t expect a fancy /trendy dining experience.

Food and service from the actual servers: 5 stars. Rude manager/boss/whoever he is: –1 star. Went with my boyfriend’s family and it was a big party. Waited outside for a while, then they say they are ready for us. They first told us we had this table then some other people sat there. Then the manager indicates that we are to be seated at this other table– which hasn’t been cleaned yet, like looks like the people just left. One of the guys starts cleaning, we are awkwardly standing there waiting bc we were told the tables were ready, but clearly they weren’t. I squeezed onto the other side of the table being cleaned so that we wouldn’t be blocking the walkway and the manager whoever guy said pretty rudely and condescendingly«can I you stand over there so we can clean???» Well SORRY, I didn’t know you were also gonna clean on the other side of the table and SORRY I thought I was being considerate by getting out of the walkway. Ugh! I thought it was just me, but my boyfriend’s sister also commented about how rude he was. ANYWAY. The food was super bomb and every single server we came across was super polite and on top of things. For such a packed, fast paced place, they did a really good job. They don’t write anything down(one of my fears when eating out), but didn’t forget anything! Color me impressed. We got the brisket(hands down fave forever), spicy pork belly, regular pork belly, and some marinated beef– supes yum! And their jap chae side dish is life. Actually all of their banchan was really good. AND! They have a lot of diff flavored ice cream, yaaaas! I’m basic, so I was happy with the rocky road, boyfriend was happy with the strawberry. Yum food, super awesome service from the servers, ugh manager, but don’t really have to deal with him anyway, so whateva!

This is probably the best Korean Barbecue joint I have ever experienced. I came with my best friend and her family, who are regulars, and they didn’t disappoint. I was amazed and oH SOHAPPY with the amount of food we got for what we paid. How do they stay in business? «Who are me to judge?» All I know is that the next time I am in California I’m hitting this place up!

i feel like no one can really NOT like KBBQ, and most of the time it’s the service that makes the experience great. The meat quality here was good and exceeded my expectations when I went to this location. It was a little more expensive than other AYCEKBBQ places, but not by much. There was a good variety of banchan«side dishes» and the service was good. My favorite part is was the doorbell to ring for service. which to our surprise, 3 different ppl came to help. The bone in short rib, garlic pork belly, pork jowl, and large intestine that we ordered were all tasty. To end the night, we were able to get some thrifty ice cream.

Hands down my favourite Korean BBQ spot. I actually haven’t eaten here since last summer. How terrible of me. I’ve introduced friends to this spot and I’m glad they haven’t been disappointed by my overhyping this place up to them. The wait can be ridiculous especially at nights and weekends. Quite torturous sitting there waiting with the scent and sounds of the sizzle of Korean BBQ in the same vicinity, all the more intensifying your desire for that much awaited first glorious bite. Our servers have all been consistently great and attentive. Some are such jokesters and I love it! It’s rare for us to flag down a server for more servings of meat; they come to our table first. Major props, BBQ Night, major props. So, yes, AYCEKBBQ with AYCE Thrifty’s ice cream for dessert. Mmm. Nothing like ending a KBBQ feast with ice cream, am I right? Who am I kidding though, I like to sneak in a scoop or two whilst waiting for the meat to cook. I have no self-control when it comes to KBBQ dude, it’s bad. Go big or go home is the motto. They always have an assortment of ice cream flavours including green tea(YUMS), cookies and cream, rocky road, chocolate malted crunch(a Thrify’s favourite!), strawberry, etc. Quality of meat is A+. I’m such a fan of their Garlic Pork Belly and Cilantro Pork Belly. Both marinated to perfection! The flavours really come through. Prime Brisket, Beef Belly, Pork Belly, and Small Intestine are the usuals we get. Oh, and can’t forget about that Baby Octopus which they bring out to you un-marinated! Other places serve already marinated octopus and I’m not a fan of that. If ya love octopus, make sure to try this on their AYCE menu. It is just so tender and gives your palate a nice break from all the meat. Also on the AYCE menu is Soft Tofu Soup(Soondubu) and Steamed Egg. Such a deal. They give you a variety of banchans and a serving of their salad. Kimchi(which I like to add on to the grill), bean sprouts, potato salad, seaweed, fish cake. Everything is excellent. All of that + dipping sauces are already set up on the table for your group. They serve alcohol as well. Lots of bottles of Hite and soju for my group my first time here. I love this spot! Major props to the staff for making each and every visit here a delight despite the food comas that ensue. Parking is easy peasy as it’s located in a plaza. I suggest wearing stretchy pants, really just comfortable attire. Tip well, don’t be wasteful, etc. These guys are awesome!

Wow Can’t believe this place has almost 5 stars! The meat has an after taste. It’s not really marinated. The service is GREAT but that’s as far as I’ll go with that. The wait time wasn’t bad for a Friday night. But I will not be returning. I honestly left hungry. The meat was chewy with no flavor. Pork Belly not marinated enough. the marinated short ribs had an extremely odd taste. I’m sticking with Gen in Cerritos or Moo Bbq. Extremely disappointed in this place.

Options for lunch: $ 10.99 combo or $ 15.99AYCE We opted for the $ 10.99 since we have limited appetites these days. The portions are what I deem full size portions of meat. In addition, you get a choice of either tofu soup, steamed egg, or something else I can’t remember. Of course, there is rice and ban chan. It’s a great deal. The meats we had were cilantro pork belly, brisket, and spicy pork. All were excellent. I hope to try the garlic pork belly next time. The array of ban chan was diverse and good. Service was good when we got there but the lunch crowd picked up by the time we were leaving so it was quite hard to get attention. Took a while to get our bill but overall, it was a good visit. There are an ample number of tables as the place is pretty large. Parking is easy as it is located in a strip mall like everything else in the area. For those of you interested in the AYCE option, there were a lot of different meats to choose from so I’d say it’s an awesome option for those inclined.

This is the best, under $ 20 kbbq places I’ve been to. Ever. For $ 17.99, you can choose at least 20 menu items, all of which were wonderfully flavored, fresh, and tender after cooking. There were a decent amount of appetizers, a little less than what I’m used to receiving in kbbq joints in DTLA, but the fresh meats completely make up for it. Service: 5 stars. Maybe 6. Despite the busy night, our servers always made sure we had everything we needed, came when we rang the table bell, and always returned with exactly what we ordered. Side note, I recommend radish paper over rice paper here. Rarely do I ever experience this type of service… unless I’m with somebody who speaks Korean. And even then great service isn’t guaranteed. What’s next? ALLYOUCANEATICECREAM! You can choose from matcha, orange sorbet, strawberry sorbet, rocky road, cookies and cream, and I feel like there are a couple more. Instead of being soft serve, you scoop the ice cream into a cup or cone, then return the scoop into a bowl of water. Would I return? Of course! And you should try this place out too.

OMG I LOVEBBQNIGHT. its my fav bbq place. They give you free self-serve ice cream, how can it get any better than that?! They have great deals for AYCE bbq. Lunch special is less than $ 20 and dinner is around $ 20. All of my encounters with the service has been good, never much of a long wait either. Lots of parking. Quality of meat is good especially for the price. They have good sides as well. Please just try for yourself because i really cannot say much more.

Went on a friday for dinner and it was busy but everyone was super attentive nonetheless and very friendly. Service was really good! They have 2 options for dinner(17.99&20.99). I opted for the 20.99 because it had more choices. I thought all of the meats were just okay… Nothing to rave about. I didn’t think the meats were super fresh or anything like all the other reviews said. Tried the: — beef belly — tougher than I prefer… I like the beef belly from Mr bbq much better — marinated short ribs — was okay, bf really liked this but I thought it tasted like the short ribs that you can buy premarinated from the supermarket — garlic pork belly — pork belly with straight up minced garlic all over it. Just tasted of garlic … No other flavor, pretty bland. Did not like — hawaiian short rib — meh — boneless short ribs — meh — small & large intestine — was okay — beef tongue — interesting, never had tongue before Oh yeah, I was also pretty disappointed with the rice paper too; it was too hard! I had to put it on the grill for a sec so it’d soften a bit, but I got tired of doing that so I completely gave up on the rice paper. They have thriftys ice cream! And they have little cups for you too if you don’t want a cone, unlike cham! Def a plus. I was really impressed with the service here but the food was pretty mediocre in my opinion. I don’t think it’s a 4 ½ star place, maybe it’s just the area or something, idk. Probably won’t be back, sorry!

Overview: BBQ Night is an all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ restaurant that offers an exceptionally wide and delicious selection of meats, drinks, and sides albeit with slightly below average service. Each table is given the option of a normal($ 18) and deluxe($ 21) option(as of 2015) for meat eaters that differs in the ability to order beef tongue, top sirloin steak, and short ribs. There is a fairly large parking lot that is shared by many very popular Korean stores so don’t count on parking close by. The Establishment: BBQ Night is fairly large, clean, and had a big TV(I think?) if you want to watch sports and don’t want to talk to the people you bring here. The seating is comfortable, the booths are well sized, and the location is convenient as it’s next to a good Korean supermarket. The Food: Oh hot diggity dang the food here is amazing, and I love the free reign to cook your meat as little or as much as you want. You know the only thing that I wish was that they gave you bigger plates because my lettuce kept falling off my teeny tiny plate. Marinaded beef, short ribs, tongue, steak, chicken, octopus, steamed egg, rice paper… it’s all amazing. The only thing they didn’t have here that I wish they had was a «KimChi Pancake.» The only issue I have is that there was a dead fly in my lettuce which makes me a bit worried that they don’t actually wash their lettuce. I think the price is fair as long as you bring your appetite. The unlimited buckets of self-scoop ice cream is pretty dang great as well to finish off an already decadent meal. The Service: The employees here seem kinda disgruntled but they will eventually bring you anything you want although you may have to ask multiple times. I can’t tell if they’re understaffed but I see a decent amount of cross coverage of servers. Conclusions: BBQ Night is a great KBBQ restaurant with a great selection of both meats and side-dishes, decent pricing, good facilities, and a convenient location. The only downsides are the overburdened staff, the dead fly in my lettuce, and the lack of my beloved kim-chi pancake.

This place is terrible… But believe it or not, I actually enjoyed this place much more than I did Gen. The quality was definitely much much better within the first few months this restaurant was first established. You’ll have an option of AYCE A for a total of 25 items for $ 17.99 and AYCE B for a total of 32 for $ 20.99. My friend and I went ahead with the AYCE B. From beginning to end we found our meat to be of low quality. There were only 2 items we moderately enjoyed. These are two items more than what I enjoyed at Gen. The items we chose before we got sick and tired of this place were: Prime Brisket(incredibly chewy, tough, and dry) Beef Belly(overly greasy but much better than the prime brisket) Fresh pork jowl(my friend spit this out… I didn’t even bother. More than 50% of this was pure fat) Small intestine(this is one of the items we enjoyed. Go ahead and ask for the small intestine sauce. It also pairs well with some grilled mushrooms) Beef Tongue(what should usually be soft and tender was chewy and forgettable) Top sirloin steak(you can tell it was old… especially as you cooked and cut into it. Who are they trying to fool?) Marinated Short Rib(This one wasn’t bad. Each were a fat slice with good marbling. The marinade was only okay though. Such a shame) I actually lost my appetite half way through my meal. The small intestine was what got me through till the end. Not to mention, most of the items came out frozen. I just had to let it go… heh heh heh. One thing I did like about this place was the different assortment of AYCE ice cream. I ended up getting myself 5 scoops to get my money’s worth. The flavors they carry are mint, rainbow sorbet, orange sorbet, cherry, and GREENTEA!!! WOOTFORGREENTEA!!! I started off with a scoop and green tea, went back for a triple scoop of cherry, mint, and rainbow sorbet(making a triple scoop a lot more difficult than I initially anticipated), and finished it off with a final scoop of green tea… It would have been a mighty shame to walk out without making most of their ice cream selection… especially after the meat they had to offer. If you really really want some quality meat, I highly recommend Kang Ho Dong Baekjeong in Buena Park. It’s absolutely amazing!!! I’ll probably get around to writing a review eventually.

I wanted to go to KBBQ last Saturday for dinner and I had my heart set on Gen, but due to the long wait, my friend and I decided to try BBQ Night due to its high reviews. First positive of this place that the wait isn’t too bad. Even though we came here on a Saturday night around 8PM, the wait was only 15 minutes — the wait would have been easily 1 – 2 hours at Gen at that time. There are two menus — a $ 17 per person and a $ 21. The $ 21 has more options, which we decided to get because of the galbi options. There are about +30 meats to choose from — we had the prime brisket, cilantro pork belly, garlic pork belly, teriyaki chicken, top sirloin, marinated short rib, king short rib, boneless short rib, and tofu soup. There was definitely good variety. Nothing was particularly outstanding, but most were pretty good. The marinated short rib was my favorite, followed by the garlic pork belly. I would pass on the top sirloin — was pretty tough and bland. The teriyaki chicken was pretty bland as well. The prime brisket was a little bland but the dipping sauce on the side remedied that problem. The banchan was pretty good and had pretty good variety. The salad is good too — adds some much needed freshness to the huge meat-fest. At the end of your meal, there is all you can eat Thrifty ice cream! Yes! They had mocha almond fudge, so that’s an additional star for sure. The service is spotty. When you need something, you’ll need to flag your server down. They don’t come by to check on you, which I usually don’t care about, but at a KBBQ place, I feel that checking in on to replace the grill and whatnot is pretty important. Overall, I’d be back. The meat here is decent in quality, but not as good as Gen. The marinades tend to be a little bland. But because it only cost $ 21 and the wait was so short, I’ll be back if I happen to be craving KBBQ during peak meal hours and can’t afford to wait at Gen.

We came here for mother’s day this year(2015) because that’s what my mom said she wanted. She ex specific. She wanted ayce(all you can eat) Korean bbq from Bbq Nights. We decided to come early in case this place got packed. Arrived at 4:45 and if was already busy. Wow. We ordered the unlimited choice combo and pigged out. I tried the garlic pork belly hoping it would be like Gen. It definitely was a copy cat, but not as good. Surprising, the jju kkoo mi(baby octopus looking creatures) were delicious. My mom recommended them and I was hesitant at first, but glad we ordered them. My one year old devoured about 5 of them alone! I can’t really comment on the service because I saw how busy the servers were, how packed the restaurant was, and how short of hand they were. Each server that we grabbed was friendly and tried their next 5 to accommodate us. Of course, with so the craziness of mother’s day, there were lots of fail moments, but we understood, especially since everyone was apologetic if an error occurred and the servers were genuinely being nice, especially when my one year old started throwing her food on the ground. The meats weren’t the best quality or taste, but again, maybe it’s because it was so busy on mother’s day. I can say I will be back to try the meats again. Good prices, good service, good little baby octopus guys to munch on! Oh, and they also have thrifty ice cream for free! Yes, old school, brings back good memories, thrifty ice cream. And yes, I said FREE. Yum!

BBQ Night is clean, spacious, and well organized. We were a party of two, and only had to wait 5 minutes for our table. The banchan and sauces were already setup when we sat down. Eileen was our server. She was quite excellent throughout the night. She really solidified a good experience. I was really looking forward to trying the galbi after reading Josh L’s review. He describes BBQ Night as having real, legit galbi, unlike many ayce kbbq places. I asked Eileen which of the 3 was the real, best galbi. She said that would be the marinated short rib(not king short rib or boneless short rib). I must say, I was dissapointed. The meat wasn’t very flavorful, nor was it tender(although I do concede that we may have slightly overcooked the galbi). The rest of the meats were good. I liked the brisket, top sirloin, and beef belly. The top sirloin was tender and juicy. The korean soft tofu soup(soondubu) was excellent. It was on par with BCD tofu house. So the way I see it, I got a delicious soondubu, that I would normally pay around $ 10 for, in addition to good quality ayce meats. A soondubu combo with limited meat would be around $ 16/$ 17 at a tofu house, so $ 19.99 for ayce that includes good soondubu and steamed egg is quite a bargain IMO. The steamed egg was soft, fresh, and tasty as well. The banchan was okay. The cucumbers were my favorite. I didn’t like the kimchi that much, which was a disappointment. The garlic pork belly was also underwhelming – it wasn’t flavorful or tender. Overall BBQ Night is a good ayce kbbq, and the service really made it a good experience. They changed our grill multiple times, refilled banchan, and were prompt and friendly. If only the kimchi, pork belly, and galbi were better it would definitely be a five star experience. Don’t forget to get some ice cream at the end!
