I can see why people might be deterred from this place. It’s located in one of the block-​long strip malls that line this area’s streets, and the building itself is rather small and run-​down, as is the office inside. The parking lot is cramped and located next to — if I’m not mistaken — a pawn shop. The windows are blacked out and impossible to see into from the outside. Were I not more confident about my purpose in going there and the time of day at which I had made an appointment, I might be a little concerned.
Nevertheless, there is merit to the anecdote «don’t judge a book by its cover». The staff and doctor are both pleasant, and though the receptionists and nurses are a little soft-​spoken and seemingly uncertain, they are relatively prompt and efficient. Dr. Nugas herself is somewhat businesslike, intent on getting to the heart of the matter, but possesses a charming disposition and good humor in general. She was thorough with me and very helpful. I consider these to be winning traits.
She seems invested in the good health of her patients and gave me very direct instructions about my next steps in treatment. I would certainly recommend her.

This place is horrible, super ghetto, and the doctor is just straight up rude. she wouldn’t even let me ask a question without cutting me off. she is totally unprofessional and I’ve NEVER dealt with a doctor that was so out of line… unbelievable and just gross. the receptionist was very nice and pleasant.

I have been going to Nugas FOR YEARS. She delivered me when I was a baby. My family has always been close with her and she’s always been my family doctor. She is kind, friendly, and will listen to any problem you are experiencing. Plus her coworker Jessica is just as awesome. The office isn’t as up to date, usually always busy, and in a bad neighborhood. Takes forever to get inside then forever for the doctor to get to you.
The reason I gave her such a low grade is because shes too traditional. She lied to me about my body having diseases I DIDNT HAVE because she did not like the sexual choices I made with my life. Because I chose to be active at my age and want birth control she lied to me. I had to go to another doctor, get yelled at by her that Nugas was lying, then come back to her office to have Nugas admit she lied to me. Then my parents BE ON NUGAS side because they were traditional too. I could have sued her. But I didn’t because she was my childhood doctor and I was not about to deal with that drama. She was the reason I changed doctors. She is also the reason I gave this place 2 stars instead of 1 because of our past together. But yes. She is a great doctor but if she disagrees with the choices you make then good luck. If she can lie to me then she can lie to you.

I made an appointment because it was closest to my work, once I reached location I seen gangsters outside, tagging on business property and relise I was probably not safe. I came home did a little research happen to know someone who knows someone that knows a assistant there guadalupe lol and stated she is on parole. I was in shock to know someone can actually be on parole n work in a business with so much private info. I would never trust this place seems low budget

Dr Nugas is very attentive to questions and concerns that you would have. She also speaks Tagalog and Spanish.
