Horrible service. They charge for everything! Extra sauce, refills, to use a card, and NO refunds! Parking lot is really small. I only come for the carne asada quesadilla. Employees are really rude. I’d rather send someone to go get my food instead of dealing with it

This place brings a smile to my face every time. Although everyone goes for the flautas, it’s the Carne asada burritos that keep me coming back.

It’s true. The wait in the lines are usually long. There’s one cashier that takes the orders typically. However, people keep coming back to this place because the food is good! They are pricier than most joints, but they are worth it in my opinion. I lived close to this part of town for years until I recently moved to LA. I always stopped here for their tacos. Another fave is their carne asada sope. Their horchata and agua frescas are decent as well. Their green and red sauce are spicy, but tasty. Parking can be a hassle when they are busy since their parking lot is a little small. Good luck trying to find street parking in the neighborhood since that street is usually packed. You might get lucky though. They just opened a new casino right across the street. You can get your gamble on then get some tacos if you’re feeling lucky. Love this place. Always consistently good.

I don’t get it. I have friends that rave about this place, I’ve seen the line out the door here too. But the food isn’t very good. A bit one the messy side, a bit on the pricey side, a bit on the not-so-friendly side, and a bit on the«not-so-tasty» side. I think people come here cause their location is better than others, you don’t have to go too deep into sketchy Hawaiian Gardens to get here, and well, people flock to what appears to be the top place. It is large, with a big sign, and faces right towards the freeway where most people are coming from. Mainly though, I care about the food, and I don’t think its very good. Head to Jullian’s instead.

Staff isn’t so friendly. Place is always crowded but that’s a good thing, the food is great. Tacos are a bit overpriced for street tacos but it’s worth it. If the staff was friendlier, I’d give them another star and if the prices were slightly lower they would get 5 stars. Flautas & tacos. The wet burrito is the biz, the green sauce is spicy but the bomb. Add rice and easy onion.

Wish we had something close to this back home. I unfortunately moved out of state. I always end up going back to TSP when on vacation. Hands down one of the best places for tacos. I’ve been going there since they were a taco truck on Norwalk. You can tell by the line out the door they’re the best. Best lengua tacos or carne asada burritos. The crowd is a bit hectic at times and it is in the barrio so be wary of that. Don’t believe other posts that say Saguayo or Julians is better. There’s really no comparison.

Never coming back. I’ve been coming here for years and have always liked their food. I paid $ 2.75 for a taco today with the smallest amount of meat on it. I go and talk to the lady cuz no lie, they always pack their tacos with 3x the meat. Her response is «well, it depend who’s making the tacos. That’s how much meat they put.» So you are telling me that depending of who the cook is, I might not get the amount of meat and quality of food that I’m paying for? The lady had such a stank face I just didn’t wanna deal with her. I love the food but I’m not paying almost $ 3 for a taco if I’m gonna finish it in one bite. They charge extra for salsa, for refills, and everything else. I’m out! I rather go to Hole Mole.

This is a great little hole in the wall with authentic Mexican food other than Olvera Street and the original Tacos Zavala. I highly recommend their tacos(carne asada are good but lengua(or tongue) are my favorite. Chicken Flautas and Tortas are also tasty. Was introduced to this place by my Mexican Mother who has a very discerning palate and used to take us to Compton growing up for good tacos. Don’t come expecting dry tacos or bland Americanized salsa. Two things that would give this a five star review are made to order tortillas and TJ style guacamole for the tacos(but that’s extremely hard to come by in the USA). It has great freeway access, a safe environment, delicious food and is not surprisingly always busy.

Worst customer service by a middle aged lady who doesn’t give an ounce of care about anyone’s order. She apparently likes to flirt with men. Smiles like a Cheshire Cat when men come in. Food was also mediocre. Not impressed with this location. Takes way too long to get an order. I will not return.

This restaurant is a great and authentic place to get some fresh and delicious Mexican food! I am an avid taco lover. I crave tacos more than half of the week. Tacos San Pedro has really authentic flavors and a fresh taste. Their asada tacos are seriously the bomb, but if you are not a fan of spicy I would opt for the salsa aparte(on the side). While waiting, you can see the cooks behind the counter chopping up huge slabs of meat. They also have delicious melon/sandia fresas and horchata. Sometimes, my dad can’t choose between a burrito or a taco, so he ends up getting both– it’s THAT good. It’s located off Carson street and Pioneer Blvd, right next to the 605 Freeway. If you get your burrito with salsa and the side– make sure to double check when getting your order(especially to go) because sometimes they forget! They also have pickles carrots available on the side.

2.5 stars, rounded up to 3. My boyfriend recently discovered this spot and was gushing about how good their burritos are so we called in for pick up on Saturday night. A lady answered and after taking our order of 2 Carne Asada Burritos, she told us our food would be ready in about 10 mins. We got there maybe 15 mins after we ordered and my boyfriend ran in to get our food while I waited in the car. I literally waited in the car for what seemed like forever! I looked inside and saw my boyfriend waiting in a long line… when he finally came out, he told me the line was super long to pay. They should really have a separate line for phone in orders to speed up the process. Anyways, the burrito was just okay to me. It was rather really oily… as there was so much oil residue on my hands from holding the burrito. Even my lips were getting oily too, yuck. I couldn’t finish the whole thing, but I was left feeling really gross and heavy after eating ¾ of it. I did however, appreciate how tender and juicy the meat was and how spicy their green and red sauces were! Price-wise, it’s decent at ~$ 6/burrito. Also, don’t forget to ask for their carrots! I like how they already have them ready in baggies instead of self-serve; it’s more sanitary this way IMO.

Not a friendly place I went to enjoy some tacos and maybe see if they would change the T. V to the Dodgers game that was playing in the regular channel because I did notice it was DirecTv and the cashier told me the TV was going to be turned off! And the TV was still on for the whole entire time I was waiting for my order plus the cashier and the waiter were gossiping with on the side even people were shaking their heads… this my last time coming here, plus I would recommend alot of people to come for the flautas NOTANYMORE!

My boyfriend’s family has been coming here for years, so of course I had to try it when I came! I would describe this restaurant as kind of a fast-food Mexican restaurant where you order at the counter and your number is called. But, there stops the comparison. There is a variety of items on the menu to choose from that you would expect from a Mexican restaurant. I was told to try the beef flautas, so of course that is what I ordered. I don’t know why I haven’t had flautas before, but these were so delicious! They kind of reminded me of taquitos, but even better. I like that they loaded the top with lettuce, cheese, sour cream, and guacamole because it complemented the flautas well. In addition, I’ve also tried their carne asada tacos, which were also delicious. I always have this on my list every time I go visit this area!

I feel really bad for giving Tacos San Pedro 3 stars. I wanted to give them 5 because they have been around for so long and I know people love it here, but it seems like they’re not quite what I remember :/I ordered a few different things in order to get a more rounded-out experience. Everything came out to a kinda pricey ~$ 20. HORCHATA:(4⁄5) Strong cinnamon flavor — yum. But a bit too sweet for me. SOPE al pastor:(4⁄5) Moist mixture of flavors. My favorite item of the bunch. Might be because of al pastor factor. CHICKENTACO:(1⁄5) Dry :(So dry :(No dressings or other toppings to help kick it up a notch. I didn’t end up finishing this taco. LENGUATACO:(3⁄5) Much more tender than the chicken taco, but still missing the other stuff to make it tastier. MIXEDFLAUTAS:(4⁄5) Yes! Veggies! But still missing flavor. Definitely needs salsa. Too bad they don’t give you that much. My friend had a carne asada burrito with cheese added. I am so surprised their burritos do not come with rice, cheese, or veggies. She said she liked it though! Despite my average review, I am still going to return to TSP because I think I am just not used to their kind of tacos. Perhaps theirs is more authentic? Next time, I’ll try their tortas.

2⁄100 reviews for 2016 I’ve passed by this joint plenty of times and never really paid much attention to it. I recently had one of my nursing clinicals at Tri-city Regional Medical Center and was hungry one shift. Forgot my lunch at home and didn’t know the area too well, so I kind of panicked. A few of my colleagues happened to know of this restaurant and recommended for me to try it. Of course I was down after reading all of their Unilocal reviews! Ordered a few carne asada tacos and a small horchata. Damn was it good! I’m usually picky with tacos considering how much meat they put, the quality and taste, the freshness of the tortillas, and the spices. I was very impressed. Sure it probably wasn’t the healthiest(because of the amount of oil) but the taste and the spiciness was up there. The carne asada was very moist and had some fatty parts(yum)! They also pack every taco with a lot of meat!!! The salsa was pretty spicy — I’d say it’s a 6⁄10 so if you’re not into too much spice, I’d just ask for it on the side and add as you go or just leave it out. For me, I LOVE the spice. It’s perfect. Plus, the onions are a good mix as well. Sooooo, the reason why I’m giving it a 4⁄5 star review is because of their customer service. The cashier and cooks are great, it’s the ladies calling out numbers that have a problem. They’re a bit rude if you’re not Mexican or Latina/Latino. I’ve seen it with other foreigners at this restaurant. I asked for extra salsa and the lady rolled her eyes at me. I don’t know if she was just having a bad day, but please don’t take it out on your customers. Other than that, please try this restaurant. They have yummy food! ** Parking is in the back or the side of the restaurant. There is a bunch of street parking as well. ** Food is a bit pricey, but worth every bite.

This ain’t no health food joint! You can see the oil on the paper wrapper of the tacos. Oh, the tacos! I had chicken tacos, beans, and rice. The chicken was not dry at all and just solid, tasty tacos. Good portions. The sweetie and I visited on a Sunday evening. Initially, parking seemed like a breeze as we easily found a space. Came in and ordered at the counter and sat at a booth. Then suddenly they had a mad rush of families and individuals in line to order. The parking lot was packed when we left with cars waiting for a space. My sweetie also concurs with Unilocal friend, Rodney’s rule which is generally: if the same ethnicity patronizes the same ethnicity of restaurant, that speaks to the quality of the establishment. The dining area is clean with large booth space and tables for families and groups. Customer service was efficient and courteous. Now, back to the tacos– delish! When visiting this area again, we will be sure to stop by Tacos San Pedro. Gracias!

I got the burrito mojado with carne asada, no beans, covered in verde sauce. I washed it down with a small size horchata and it helped to calm down the spicyness in my mouth. The pickled carrots added a tangy crunch to my burrito along with the green sauce. The carne asada had a shredded beef texture, soft and tender, easily pulled apart in my mouth. The parking can be scarce(one star off), but the building itself was renovated and a pleasant surprise with that it didn’t look like a hole in the wall. The service was fast and the quality of the food was very good, not too greasy, just enough to wet the whistle:) Muchas gracias Tacos San Pedro for being a great alternative to the old run down taco places, keep up the good work! Hasta la vista!

Unilocal challenge 2015. 240⁄365 On the search for Taco Trucks in the area late in the night. This is the best we could do. With a Unilocal Quest and few trusted Unilocalers reviews we were steered to this local gem.(Shout out to, and Thank you Andrew K, Roy B, Howie C, Julie B) For the area, the building stands out. Located off Lincoln/Carson before the 605 in Hawaiian Gardens hood. And it is super busy. People coming and going the entire time we were there. Accepting cash or credit, this place wont break your bank. Offering street tacos, burritos, tortas, sopes, flauntas and other tastey treats. You know, your basic Mexican items. 5 tacos, 4 for him, 1 for me and a large drink cost $ 17.00. My single carne asada taco was good, but a little oily for my taste. Packed with meat, onions, cilantro and hot sauce. I probably should of ate 2 of them, but I handed taco #2 over to the hubsters. He needs it more than me. Hubsters had the Chorizo, pastor, carnitas and asada. Out of all of them the Asada was his fave. For late night cheap eats this is it. #723

Hands down some of the best nachos I’ve tried. This place comes in second to Carnitas Michoacan, and the only reason is because at Carnitas they smother your chips with cheese. It’s like what the bae said, «Would you like a side of chips with your cheese?» Haha, but this place was pretty good! We ordered some of their nachos with of course carne asada, with a gordita de chicharrón. I also got a raspberry iced tea, and he got a horchata. I loved their nachos, and their carrots were pretty good as well! He had picked up 2 of the salsas, and I liked both of them too! I wouldn’t mind coming back here, especially since it’s in the city next to mine. By the way when he told me we were going to Tacos San Pedro, I was like oh, it’s in San Pedro, but it’s in Hawaiian Gardens. Lol. They charge I think 55 cents if you order something and you want to use your debit card, so come here with cash if you have it!

I love the food pero estos codos te cobran asta los popotes(Estoy exagerando pero eso les faltan) * They charge .50 for using your debit card(no credit!) * a refill will cost you .75-$ 1.25 *.50 for A salsa * bitch face for asking for more napkins(I personally need more than two thin shreds of «napkins») LIKES: The Asada tacos are bomb and are the size of a regular corn tortilla. When I’m too lazy to make chicken flautas I come here. They’re pretty legit, not as good as mine but close enough.
