My boyfriend and I went here as part of the Fire and Ice package provided by the Settlers Inn. We ordered the Asian BBQ sandwich an Iced Coffee and the Peach, Apricot, and something else smoothie. The sandwich was okay, lots of bread, skimped on the meat and slaw that was allegedly included in the sandwich but had it had actual meats and veggies in it, it would’ve been great because it was quite flavorful. My smoothie was great, until we left Cocoon and I had a stomach ache for hours. I’m not sure if it was the smoothie or the sandwich or a combo of both but something I ate didn’t agree with me at all and it made for a less than enjoyable rest of the day spent lying in bed and being unable to eat my dinner that night. I’m sure the food is good, I really enjoyed the ambiance but I just wasn’t a huge fan of my experience.

Walked in today to ask what the hours were all weekend. No one would tell me. Just ignored me. No hours posted outside either. No eye contact from gal behind counter. Am I invisible?

To the person that said they were«vegan and(could) eat more than one thing on the menu», you may need to rephrase that for actual vegans. The only reason I even remotely tried this place was because of that person’s teasing comment but upon arrival I was very disappointed in the food selection. my plain DRY bagel did not to do the trick for breakfast. There are no vegan butters, or vegetables for said bagels to even try to get creative(they don’t have a kitchen and everything is basically pre made), which is surprising because of all the sandwich options there are. The only saving grace was the iced chai which was made thankfully with almond milk and was VERY delicious. Beautiful atmosphere though, and I loved the used book section. Thankfully the service was very pleasant. I would stop here again, but make sure I eat before hand.

Came here became because we stayed at the Ledges and the Groupon included breakfast here. Cocoon definitely exceeded all my expectations. The service was great, the coffee was delicious and the breakfast sandwiches were ONPOINT. I wish we had a cocoon in jersey!

The atmosphere was great. Most of the Batistas were nice. But there was one really rude woman who worked there. She sighed, rolled her eyes a lot, and she never said you’re welcome. She acted like waiting on me was an inconvenience. On top of not having good customer service, she was unsanitary. She didn’t wash her hands and touched a customers sandwich with her bare hands(gross!) I recommend going here but if you see an older woman with a short hair cut and glasses run the other way and come back later!

Really cute place, really tasty breakfast sandwiches. Everything very reasonably priced. For what it is, couldn’t ask for more really. Definitely recommend it if you’re in the area and looking for some coffee/snack or just want to relax in pleasant environment.

Very relaxing ambience. A nice variety of books to read and seats to wind down. My latte I ordered tasted very strong and smooth. It was a great cup of goodness. Definitely a must try if your in the area.

Great for a quick cup of coffee, a meal or to hang out for internet time and serial coffees or other delicious things off the menu. This is a beautiful place, I really appreciate the history and this expert restoration of the building. It is a treat to be able to spend time here… but this is also a wonderful coffeehouse with delicious coffee, fancy coffee drinks and a great menu for meals or snacks

Delicious fresh gazpacho! Very open and airy atmosphere. Prices are reasonable especially since its the only one of it’s kind in the area. Mac and cheese was super greasy. We had to pour out the grease.

This may in fact be the coolest place to have coffee in the next 20 miles. After coming up to the lake we struggled to find somewhere where we could get a decent cup of coffee but the last day we got to come and try cocoon and was pleasantly surprised. The coffee was smooth the espresso was complex and delicious and the atmosphere was casual and open. A perfect coffee shop that I will be sure to stop by if I ever find myself in the mountains again

Cozy little place for coffee & snacks. Good service too! Wish there were more hearty food options like soup, but the quiche is tasty.

Cocoon is a delightful spot. I only wish I were in Hawley more often! I LOVE their coffees and cappuccinos, grain and fruit salads. At times I wish there was more food prepared on the spot but I would gladly fill my belly with their drinks. I think I would spend much more time there if I could get a larger meal… maybe I would never leave! The service is great and I always leave with a huge smile. I will even admit that If my destination is somewhere past Cocoon I will go out of the way to stop there before AND after my appointment or whatever it may be. I just can’t get enough! :) Thank you Cocoon!

Coffee was decent, service was friendly, atmosphere was great — until the 5 screaming children arrived. Such is a public space, I suppose. That was our que to close our books, vacate the comfy couch and leave! They have a $ 10 minimum on credit cards, but will take a card if that’s all you have. Luckily, I had cash, so they could avoid the credit card fees!

Meh, coffee, AMAZING décor. Was HOPING for really good quailty… but when one is used to Stumptown, Blue Bottle and 9th Street its pretty hard to comprimise. But the service was VERY nice, the place is spotless and there is outside deck with amazing mountain views.

If your’e driving down Route 6, you might miss this very-hidden little coffee shop. There are some big signs that say«COCOONISOPEN,» because there’s some construction going on in the vicinity, so beware. I drove around for about 20 minutes trying to find«Bellemonte Avenue,» only to give up. Of course, when I gave up is when I spotted the big signs. The building has some little flags outside that say«COCOON,» as well as some spots marking parking, so just keep your eyes wide open for this place. It appears that the coffee shop’s location is on the grounds of an old silk milk(hence the name), and the décor and interior of the building is just killer. The walls look like they’re original, cement smeared all over the walls and an open ceiling with beams and visible wood. The seating is comfy black chairs, couches, and one long PA-style wooden table with bench seating(think: Amish-built). There’s a bar with all the fixins for your drink, a public-use computer, free wi-fi, and plenty of country, down-home music to keep you occupied and stimulated while working. It’s a really cool, casual, calm kind of coffee shop, so if you’re looking to do work, this joint is perfect. The downside? They close at 6 p.m. I know, I know, it’s Hawley, PA, but some of us are outsiders looking in and need something open until at least 8 p.m. The coffee options are typical(lattes, mocha, etc.) and they also offer some food options like sandwiches, salads, chips, and sweet cakes and treats. Essentially, if you want it, they have it, and prices are reasonable. The service, be warned, is a little slow, but don’t let it get you down. This is no Starbucks or Big Bucks Coffee Chain, so take your time and put yourself into a slow, calm mentality and you’ll be fine to sip you coffee with ease.
