On our long drive back to NY we were looking for someplace local… authentic. We hit the Bulls eye. This place is all about the food. You can immediately smell that this place knows barbecue. 10 different choice of sauce. Melt in your mouth brisket. My gums are still tingling from the ribs. My son said it was the best bacon cheese burger he’d ever had.

The food was better than most BBQs I have had, the ribs were cooked perfectly with the smoke flavor adding to the taste. The piggy fries were delicious and plentiful. The service was a little slow and the dining room needs a little more character along with some soft music to help fill the large room. Overall, this is a great little BBQ shop. I would definitely go again.

I was pleasantly surprised to find a new BBQ place off Route 28 just north of New Bethlehem. I grew up in the area, and restaurant options are limited. Not only is this a welcome option, but it also was really, really good. The space is fairly spacious, clean, and newly renovated with an adequate gravel parking lot. You order at the register and the menu is written in chalk on huge boards above the counter. I love anywhere that uses checkered vinyl table clothes, and if it were lacking anything as far as ambiance, I’d maybe suggest some music. It was pretty quiet for a BBQ bunch. As for food, my group tried several things from the menu. My husband really liked his pork & brisket combo, and he sampled it with a couple of the homemade sauces(Pig Pucker and Firehouse, both a North Carolina, vinegar-based style). For BBQ purists, you’ll be happy to know that the sauce comes on the side… as it should! I tried the quesadilla with pulled pork, which comes with the Tuff’s Original sauce on it. It was good, but I liked it even better after stealing my hubby’s Firehouse sauce to dip it in. The Firehouse has a great kick! My sister got a loaded pulled pork sandwich that she loved, which nods to the Pittsburgh tradition of cole slaw and fries on top. The French fries are great, crispy hand cut ones. There is also a small, but adequate kids menu. Mine tried the grilled cheese and the smaller portion pulled pork sandwich. Both cleared their plate, so it must’ve been good. Our whole lunch came to under $ 35, an incredible deal for good BBQ. My only regret is that we didn’t get to try more of the menu! We tried to add on burnt ends, but apparently, they sell out quickly each day. I’d also love to try the baked beans, the Cobb salad(made with the pulled pork), their adapted macaroni and cheese that has bits of pork and BBQ sauce in it, and the wings. The whole menu looks great, so we’ll definitely be back next time we are in town.

Introduced by a friend to this Bar BQ pit and found it to be a great place to grab a great meal. I travel a great deal and visit many BBQ pits. This is one of the best. Brisket sandwich is awsum. The piggy fries though are to die for. Worth getting off the highway for this hidden jem.

Amazing BBQ restaurant. Everything — meats, sauces, cole slaw etc. prepared fresh daily. Try«The Contender» beef brisket, cheese w/grilled onions and peppers. Best sandwich I have ever tried!

Stopped in here after a soccer game for our first time here… service was friendly and helpful and it has a decent menu for a small bbq joint Offers three sauces… sweet carolina style, vinegar based and mustard based. I went with pig pucker(vinegar) and would go back for more. I had the brisket which had a great flavor and was extremely tender. If youre looking for a good bbq lunch check them out definitely worth a visit
