Along with our next-​door neighbor, we just had a leisurely no-​obligation consultation with an Almstead arborist named Russell Wagner. It’s no exaggeration to say he could not have been more knowledgeable, professional and friendly. In particular, there was none of the high-​pressure hard-​sell whatsoever that is such a prevalent business model these days — and, equally important, Russell automatically prioritized work that really needs to be done because of an imminent hazard versus other things that are desirable but not urgent.
Russell’s detailed written proposals are clear, thoughtfully organized and take into account all the various options we discussed — at prices that seem quite reasonable. Though we haven’t had the work done yet, we do plan to proceed with it — and hope we have a lasting relationship with Almstead based on a great presentation by Russell that was as thorough and informative as it possibly could be.
