Ordered a bagel to go but didn’t like that the person preparing my bagel didn’t wear gloves! I won’t return there again for a bagel!

It’s good! Good seating usually even though it is quite small. Hey! It even has a small bakery to buy rolls and pastries! Now under new management they have better customer service. Be careful with those calories though. And if you were wondering, if you want clean water ask for bottled water because saying just«water» will cause them to give you tap water. Also careful what you buy… it might give you a small stomachache but other than that it’s good! Food Quality– 6⁄10 Parking– 7⁄10(you may have to park another area) Customer Service– 8⁄10 Table Availability– 90% Quantity of food– 6⁄10 Restaurant size– Medium

It’s easy to underestimate this place, but don’t let the size fool you! I’ve been through this place a few times, and I’m constantly impressed by their offerings. The bagels are good enough, but the dining area is where this place truly shines. It offers a variety of regular diner offerings, but at about the highest quality you can get for the price. Plus, a number of unique chef’s specials are always offered. If you’re around downtown Hawthorne, you should have given this place a shot a week ago.

This is the BEST breakfast spot ever. Food is amazing and inexpensive ! Quick quick service. Waiter a little snippy but oh well, it was busy. Great great place. I definitely recommend it to everyone

I grew up eating at Andy’s so it pains me that they’ve gotten so bad. Had dinner there this week and the food was, quite simply, miserable. The split pea soup tasted like nothing and was somehow both cold and boiling hot. My meatloaf sandwich came alone on a plate. The meat was completely dry– looked like it had been microwaved to death in slices– the bread was tasteless, and the gravy was cold and congealed. The waitress asked if I wanted coleslaw and a pickle and brought them separately, but the coleslaw had turned and I could smell that it was sour before I even tried it.(I also had asked if the meatloaf had peppers, and she said no, but it did. Wouldn’t have ordered it if I’d known). The one saving grace was the chocolate cake from the display– that and their prices are still very low. The food here used to be good, but whoever is cooking has seriously downgraded the quality of food and clearly takes no pride in it. I’m sure breakfast is still decent since that’s what they’re known for, but the last few dinners I’ve had there were so disappointing– even the burgers are sad and dry. Their deli sandwiches and lunch options are decent, but I’m afraid I’m giving up on dinner there.

Andy’s Corner is a no frills sort of place, but the food is worth it. I have been there for lunch and had a veggie wrap. The wrap was good, but a bit oily. When I went for breakfast and had the berry blast pancakes, I was impressed by the quality of the pancakes. This is a small, local place for good food.

This is my go-to spot for breakfast food. I used to live around the corner an go there almost weekly. Now I live further away and still go there. Always friendly service and good food.

The man behind the counter had the WORST attitude. Walked inside and he asked if it was for here or to go… My boyfriend and I were waiting for a phone call so were not sure exactly when we would have to leave to rush over to where we had to be… We said to go to play it safe. We get our food and we go to take a seat in the COMPLETELYEMPTY dining area and he tells us(paying customers) we can’t sit because we said our food was for togo. Now here we are walking down the street trying to enjoy our food which doesn’t even make up for this mans attitude. How are you going to tell paying customers they cant sit?! I will NEVER spend my money here again. Learn some manners sir cause that was so disrespectful. I use to eat here all the time but I never will again… Just lost a loyal customer. Worst part is i was gonna leave a tip on the table

Love Andy’s for breakfast! Their service and food choices cannot be beat. Have tried going to Ridgewood and Allendale for breakfast, but always return to Andy’s Corner. Your coffee cup will never be empty and they are happy to comply with any special request! Get the Old Fashioned French toast special!

Love Andys! Recently started working in the Hawthorne area a few months ago and have been getting my lunch here since day 1! The food and service is absolutely amazing and the staff is even better! Always greeting you when you walk in and help you right away! I come here three days a week for lunch and never have any issues! Definitely recommended.

Had the pleasure of trying this place for the first time this morning and was not disappointed. In fact I was quite impressed! Their berry pancakes were awesome and the portion was quite large. The service was friendly and attentive. The coffee was good and the refills flowing without even having to ask. I will definitely be back! I’ll have the eggs Benedict next time =)

I had a chicken panini which was horrible… greasy, tasted like nonstick spray! My kids has a soup which definitely came from a can and the other had eggs and bacon which was the only decent thing. I guess they are only good worth breakfast. I should’ve walked out. And its an older crowd(no offense) and don’t go around after school hours, the kids are loud

Eggs Benedict was great but a little too much on the hollandaise sauce. I tried my wife’s berry pancakes and they were really good too. Our waitress was super sweet and professional.

I am so disappointed! I do not know what happened to this place but all I can say is DISGUSTING! I went back this week and it was like the Twilight Zone. I sat there waiting for someone to acknowledge me forever, finally received my order and when I went to pick up the toast I saw the piece on the bottom was half eaten! The best part was that they gave me a bill! Really? Your lucky I did not call the board of health !

Much love for Andy’s Corner. Been going there for about 5 years and it’s consistently quite good. I used to always order their eggs Benedict and still gaze longingly whenever someone else does. Unfortunately or fortunately, however you look at it, I don’t really indulge like I used to so it’s been a while since I’ve enjoyed them. For the passed few years I’ve opted for their oatmeal which, to put it mildly, is awesome. Many places offer it but few prepare it this good. It’s creamy, light and delicious. Usually order it with either raisins or blueberries and brown sugar. They also have fresh baked deserts and bagels. Have been in for lunch and dinner on occasion. Both were great, several steps above typical NJ diner fare. Their service is attentive, friendly and prompt. They seem to have the system down quite well with different employees in charge of refilling coffee, providing water and serving meals. If your coffee cup or soda glass is empty, it won’t be for very long. Owner is also very attentive and congenial. If you’re in the Hawthorne area and looking for a nice place to enjoy a casual meal in a friendly environment, give them a try. I think you’ll be more than pleased.

Bad bad bad. Place has gone downhill. If I could give it no stars I would. Don’t waste your money. I had the gyro — meat was u recognizable and hard as shoe leather. Hubby had the hot open turkey sandwich which tasted like nothing. Although the staff was friendly, they did not look cleanly and the booth seats were so worn down it was uncomfortable to sit. Never again!

Good lunch and breakfast spot It’s like home cooking. I usually have them deliver me breakfast once a week to work. Service is fast and you get plenty of food for the price.

Solid diner food, and after watching the plates go past me, I wish I would’ve ordered the waffles. I had the greek salad with chicken, in an attempt to eat semi-healthy after a long weekend of boozing and eating fried food. The salad was generous, lots of veggies on top(though, sadly, the tomatoes were grainy, but then again early March isn’t the best time to eat tomatoes), and the grilled chicken on top was nice and juicy. It was served with fresh, warm pita YUMMMM! Lots of locals coming in, greeted by name from the owner, it felt very homey! My salad was good, but seriously, I wish I had been hungover and eating either one of the huge omelettes with home fries, or that gorgeous waffle that walked past me…

A «well-kept secret». Some of the best French toast I’ve ever had. The owner(I’m assuming Andy) was accommodating and friendly. He offered us coffee or a beverage while we waited to be seated. Seems like he takes care of his staff too. Our server wasn’t gracious(a little rough), but was helpful and attentive nonetheless. Super affordable too!

I definitely recommend this place: it’s a nice, cheap, local business with good food and service. I’ve only had their breakfast so far. Omelettes, home fries and hash browns are good. I don’t eat pancakes very often(trying to watch my girlish figure) but I tried some of my boyfriends and they were phenomenal. Very fluffy and soft not at all dry. The service was good. We both got coffee and the waitress promptly came around and kept filling our cups without us having to ask. In the end, our bill was pretty cheap and less than we expected somehow, very nice.
