Came here around 5:00 PM today and fortunately there was hardly a line.
Was able to get what I needed and was out in less than 5 minutes. How cool is this?
Fun day… this place is the place to get lucky…

Came out here to buy tickets when the Powerball jackpot was an insane $ 1.5B.
I like that they have that shortcut line — where all you have to do is spend $ 2 (on anything other than lottery) to cut everyone else in line.
But they are FAST. The line may be around the corner, but it only took 30 – 45 minutes to get to the counter. (Some people claim over an hour, but not in my experience — I took the shortcut line and it only took 20.)
Anyway, I normally don’t go here to buy lotto tickets, but I did for a good friend of mine (who happens to be 10K miles away.) It was alright. I like that I finally got to check it out.

Had my first bluebird experience yesterday and got exactly what I expected. Long lines out the door and around the corner, news crews, and a nostalgic energy in the air. Regardless of the long wait time everyone was in a good mood and high spirits. So here is the breakdown. When the jackpot gets large you can expect a bit of a traffic jam. Parking in the residential area is completely okay but tough to find. You might have to walk a bit. Once in line chances are you will be surrounded by cameras and news reporters asking how long you have been in line and if you’re feeling lucky. The wait time was approximately and hour and a half which was relatively fast considering the amount of people trying to buy Powerball tickets. Please note that there are usually two lines when you get around the corner. One line for people who want to make a minimum purchase of two dollars plus the lotto tickets and another for only the tickets. Each line enters through a separate door and the one for purchase of items is usually shorter, although it’s not a huge difference. Everyone is let in by measured groups and once you’re inside a bit of the emotion is taken by the bad customer service and lack of order. We had multiple cashiers shouting orders and how the system inside the store works. It was chaotic to say the least and felt a bit claustrophobic because everyone is scrambling to find the appropriate line. *NOTE* come with your number choices filled out to avoid the minor inconvenience of having to fill them out in store.

This place has sold lotto tickets to 8 new millionaires!
Also besides million dollar winners constant winners in general. This is worth the drive. the owner, little cute older korean man, is very excited n hopeful for his customers it’s very cute.

The line is out the door when the jackpot gets large. Expect news crews and a lot of waiting. When you walk in BlueBird you certainly feel like you are going to win… Lol they have winner announcements plastered all over the walls and ceilings! There is literally 2 regular spots and 1 handicap spots in the tiny parking lot so just park in the middle island area (you’ll know what I’m talking about when you see it) and cross the street.
Also one last note… When they get super busy (like during huge jackpot times) they stop the sale of scratchers to help move the line along.

So I went to get my Powerball tickets today for the $ 1.3 billion pot. I waited in line with a lot of other hopefuls!
They had a second shorter line which required a minimum $ 2 grocery purchase.

Customer service isn’t always great.

This is my go to place for my monthly lottery tickets.
This place always has winners. Latest winner was 1 million scratcher.
The staff and owner are always friendly and helpful.
When the lottery jackpots get huge there is sure to be a line out the door,
but there is always a line because it is a small place and if 10 people are in line you’re standing in the doorway. Expect the TV News Crews to show up.

They may be the lucky’$ store in LA y California; but, you might want to add to that list, their customer service is one of the worst in LA y California too… Rude, angry y disrespectful to say the least… I’ve even seen one of the cash register workers there getting into a fight with one of the customers in the parking lot… Just because your no. 1 don’t mean you have to be in-​human to your customers… ¿Why do we put up with it? ¡Keep in mind, karma is a B!#@h y goes a long way, can’t not be no. 1 or 3 forever…

I have been approaching this area for work and when I saw the big sign I got super excited, Finally THE famous Bluebird Liquor… for someone who buys lottery tickets in southern california this place is just known to be a lucky place to buy.
Spoke to the owner James about the product that I’m promoting. James is a very nice man has owned this business for almost 10 years. We have some in common as he used to live in Cerritos some time ago.
There is no GIANT jackpot going on so there was no line around the corner like how I’ve seen this place on the news. Still there is a great flow of business here with patrons purchasing everything liquor/​snacks and, naturally, lottery tickets.
After talking to business with James I got the OK from my boss to buy a Ticket. Thanks to the awesome and genial Jesus «Chuy» for helping me decide which one to buy into. He recommended the Super Lotto since the jackpot is just as high as the Power and Mega but the odds are better since its limited to CA and just $ 1.
Hopefully I win this week’s Super Lotto. Now I have the luck of Bluebird on my side. I promised Chuy I’d be back to buy a bottle of Champagne when I do!

Well this place’d get 5 stars if I hit the lotto, lol, but 3 stars is what’s up today. It’s a liquor store.

I buy because I need help on the Lottery Luck. Seriously this place sells winners or at least close to winners. That last record breaking Mega Millions, they sold one of the 5 no mega for a cool $ 230K.
Anyways, I wish that the lotto would tell you if the ticket won was a Quick Pick or chosen numbers. So then we could know if the place is really lucky…
Prepare to wait in long lines if the pot is large.

i decided to give this place a try for the 640mil jackpot just so i could say «been there, done that». BIGGEST MISTAKE EVER. i didn’t mind waiting in line (6hours)… what i did mind was the way the lines were handled.
there were two lines — one for those who just wanted to purchase the lottery tickets — go in thru the front door, and a «shorter/​faster» one for those who will buy stuffs with their lottery tickets — go in thru the back door. that was just a big LIE!!! nobody bought anything in that line and once inside the store, they have their choice of 3 registers for the lottery tickets. for those of us who was in the lottery line only, we only have 1 register. why is that? is our money not as good as those in the other line? then some jerk-​off who worked there — i didn’t get his name (i should have) came out, walked up and down the lines looking all important — dude, you’re a guy who works in a liquor store, minimum wage at best — telling people that he would bring out quick pick tickets for those who wanted to pay & go, between his stints of escorting his buddies to the front of the lines.
KARMA is a bitch.

Im not giving Bluebird Liquor 2 stars because they give bad service or anything like that. They’re a liquor store. All liquor stores do is over charge for basic food items and primarily sell liquor, smokes and heavily salted treats. Nothing unusual about this place except that its been known for selling winning lotto tickets and thats it.
And on that note I did win $ 2 from the $ 640 mil drawing from the tickets I bought at Bluebird. WOOHOO I BEAT THE ODDS SUCKAS!!! :-/​
For all the sheeple that I saw in line throwing down many $ 20 bills you oughtta know better!

The «luckiest spot» in LA/​Orange County, and the number 3 spot in all of California, so when the jackpot gets big, be prepared for long lines.
One time I was here with my dongseng and Telemundo came to interview people asking about how they think their chances are. They didn’t go to me because I don’t look like I could speak Spanish, but it’s OK, because I can only order food in Spanish.
Parking lot is 3 – 4 spaces at most, best bet is to park in the middle island, the street, or the following small streets from the store.

I don’t know what it is about this place but it seems very magical when you buy a lottery ticket. I went on a day where the jackpot wasn’t even high and there was a decent sized line.
If you are a serious lottery player come in and check it out. It is a spectacle for sure. There are people in line with 100 dollar bills buying all kinds of scratchers. Also you see posters of all the lotto winners this store has produced. You get a vibe that you’re going to win big. Although my tickets were losers I will come back.
Tip-​Dont go to this place at night with tons of cash. I’m just sayin’

The Good: It’s your run of the mill liquor store, but it’s California famous for having some of the best luck for the super lotto. I went on a slow lotto day, only like 11 million dollars, and the line moved fast. I can see how this place would suck when there is a huge payout.
The Bad: Small parking lot, but there is some street parking and a parking area in the middle of the street, don’t ask me it’s hard to explain.
The Ben: Woot woot winner winner…11 bucks so that’s like what %.0001 of the payout. I’m a winner damn it!!!

This place is ranked as the #3 luckiest lotto retailer in California, and the #1 luckiest place in the LA/​Orange county area. Whenever the lotto winnings get ridiculously large, you’ll usually see this place on the local news with droves of hopefuls waiting in line.
This morning my commute to mid-​Wilshire took me up this street (good ol’ freeway gridlock…) and spying this place, I figured why not give it a go. Maybe I’ll be a gazillionaire on friday… lol… and then it’ll get 5 stars from me. ;) The shop is a medium sized liquor store, pretty much typical of any other liquor store you’d wander into. However, rather than the one lotto machine, they have 3 set up to handle the volume when lotto fever hits the masses.
Edit 6÷16÷06: Last night’s numbers were 1 5 16 26 30 & Mega 21. And, I’m a loser once again… lol… but, nobody won… $ 55M for the next draw… I think I may give the ol’ Bluebird another shot. ;)
