Wish I would have visited here first. This is awful. They made me pay up front $ 460 even though I have insurance. In fact, they have pre-​negotiated rates with the ins co that states they can only charge $ 198 for an office visit. He charged 638.22!!! Of which, I’m only liable for $ 30. So my insurance company sent me their statement stating that my share of the office visit and x-​rays is $ 92. Wow. So now I’m out $ 376 and my FSA won’t repay me. Only thing to do is go back to the office and request a statement showing what I’ve already paid. If I can get that, I’ll come back here and update this review. Dr himself did not spend a whole lot of time with me but did seem to know what he was talking about.

Here’s an update of my interaction with this office… I can’t believe his office staff yells out patients’ conditions AND has a major attitude when you check them on it. Hello, have you not heard of a patient’s privacy rights? Since he is an orthopedic surgeon, you can somewhat guess the reason every one is there, however to provide the specifics of a patient’s condition is totally unacceptable. Really? Have they not read the HIPPA paperwork they require me to sign?

Dr Rama Chandron… In My Eye’s…This Is The Best Orthopedic Surgeon In Southern California… I Had Both Shoulders Operated On Rotator Cuff Repair With 0Zero Pain Afterwords… This Man Is Very Knowledgeable In His Field… I Would Suggest Dr Chandron To Everyone Who Needs Surgery… Especially Those Employee’s Of American Airlines In LAX ! My 6wk experience:
I was referred by my HMO here after sustaining a fracture. While my intake appointment was super speedy, it was all downhill since then. I was scheduled for surgery at 10am, which was then switched to 11am then 8am the day prior to surgery. On the day of the surgery, I get there at 8 but laid in pre-​op until 1:15pm. I wake up with this huge cast encasing all my fingers which was overkill in my opinion. A better cast was placed on my 2 week follow up but the cast had sharp edges along my fingers and thumb which I had to blunt with surgical tape I had at home. The day of my cast removal, my apt was at 11, got placed on a room at 11:45, seen at 12:15 and asked if I wanted the cast removed. Got placed in another room and did not leave until 12:45.
While Dr. Rama Chandran seems like a nice guy, his bedside manners are terrible. Doesn’t knock when he enters room, speaks quietly and you have to be proactive and ask questions otherwise he won’t tell you info you should know.
I would avoid this office if given the choice.

I was referred to Dr. Chandran by my orthopedic doctor. Dr. Chandran performed a total knee replacement on me. I found him to be thorough in explaining my injury as well as well as surgery and rehabilitation procedures. He listened to all my concerns and treated me with respect. I highly recommend
Dr. Rama Chandran.

If I could give zero I would. Monkeys could run the office better. Reception was horrible, office manger R. has a way below average intelligence. I requested another doc from my insurance, and they gladly obliged because they know how horrible this office is (there are numerous complaints about this office). The doctor Shaun told me that he did NOT even have to look at my MRI, even after reception made a big deal out of me obtaining my MRI, and would not schedule me until i had it from my other doc. STAY AWAY if you have a choice. Sorry if you have to go here

After an hour and a half with an appointment. The doctor got in to the room for 15 to 20 seconds and he told me that I need an MRI because the x rays didn’t show the injury. It was exactly what the primary doctor said, I have no idea why I didn’t follow the other Unilocalers reviews.

Dr. Chandran has a brand new office in Torrance right across from Little Company of Mary! Awesome look. He and his son both work there and give me the time I need. They are the best at answering my questions with a REASON… not just a short answer. They are extremely experienced surgeons and very respectful.

Terrible office. Long waits. Poor service. Doctors rush you thru like a car wash and then hit your insurance company for $ 390. An absolute travesty and ripoff. If I deduct the 90 mins I waited from the 10 minutes I was seen to, My insurance should be credited! Don’t go here and tell your referring Dr. as well.

Dr. Chandran did a fantastic surgery on me. Can’t complain!!! Thank u!!!

In 1984 I cut the nerve and tendon on my finger, I was referred to Dr. Chandran. He performed my surgery and I was very pleased. Today you cant even see it. In 1987 my mom fell and fracture a vertebrate. No surgery, but Dr. Chandran took care of her with physical therapy. Last November, 2011 she had a tear on the miniscus (knee). Dr. Chandran did my mother’s surgery, and she was walking right after. In March, 2012 she had partial knee replacement. My mom and I were afraid because it was the same knee. Her pain was intolerable, but his confidence in his words gave us that reassurement that everything was going to be fine. He performed the surgery sortly after. My mom came home with me that same night. Now 2 ½ months later, shes pain free. All I have to say is «what a wonderful Dr. What wonderful hands!!!» Next is my dad, he needs total knee replacement. All I have to say is «Dr Chandran will performed the surgery!!!»

I was referred to this office from my WC. i wish i was never referred here. they have really really bad customer service from Jessica she has an attitude, they are not professionals at all. DR. Rama E. Chandran really SUCKS he is very unprofessional no kind of sanitation in that Medical Office, he will not see you no more that 1 minute he rushes you through your visit, he even lost my chart with all my medical records. This guy needs to be reported to the MEDICAL BOARD. This is not a good recommendation to go to I will not return there even if i have the worse pain ever. THEY REALLY SUCK!!! PLEASE DON’T GO THERE! AND IF YOU GO THERE PLEASE GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.

I was referred to this place by my PCP, Axminster Medical. When I called to make an appointment, they scheduled me within a week, which is considerably fast. I showed up for my appointment twenty minutes early and there are already nine people waiting in the dinky little office. As soon as I signed in and took the last seat available, a guy walked up to the receptionist to complain why he hasn’t been seen yet even though he was fifteen minutes early to his appointment. The receptionist, who on the phone simply motioned to him indicating that she’s busy.
After waiting for about an hour, in addition to being twenty minutes early, there were still people waiting ahead of me. I decided to not waste both my time AND money, so I demanded a refund to my copay, left the office, and swear to never return again. You should do the same.
Please avoid this place at all cost. Only come here when you’re dying. Actually, I’m sorry to say but dying might be a better option than coming here.
