This place is the best. The staff is knowledgable and carries a huge selection(of beer). Where else can you get growlers filled with a rotating keg station of all the local breweries? They also regularly get kegs of local beers at the Diamond Bar next door. Stop down and support local business.

Great craft beer in bottles, cans, growlers and bar ! Mike is the man ! Can never leave without walking out with something good and a draft beer to top it off. One stop shop for all your beer needs.

The new ownership has completely revamped what was a small package goods store with a very limited selection. They now carry an outstanding selection of craft brews that is superior to the selection in many far larger places and have recently added a growler filling station with beers that are rotated regularly. Another nice feature is the ability to make your own six packs from the selection of single bottles. The wine selection isn’t extensive, but it’s well thought out. The staff is friendly and helpful.

Diamond Liquors has been around forever but has undergone a substantial change(for the better) over the last year(the retail store, anyway). The new owners have done a good job of expanding the selection of beers and wines they carry and the«make your own six» is a great way to try new beers without committing to a full 6-pack. They have frequent wine tastings on the weekend and the guys who work there are friendly, helpful and happy to help you make your selection. One star off for having to walk through the hardcore drinkers from the attached bar who hang out on the sidewalk smoking. Unfortunately that part hasn’t changed yet.

Unsure whether they are under new management or just improved the beer selection but have been very impressed withe the changes they made recently. I used to stop by a few times doing home from the train station when I didn’t have the energy to go to a store with larger selection. Made same post train trip last week and was vert happy to see they have a large single bottle selection of «make your own six». Not a totally novel idea as WF in Paramus and Half Time upstate has a similar setup but very nice for the local store to have this. The nice part is not only in the singles do they have a nice assortment of micros and international but the random beers(lookin at you Beck’s Sapphire) that was always curious about but would never buy a 6 to try. he staff was very helpful and kind. There was an error when checking out that the man behind the register noticed after the fact(the single rang as a 4 pack) and he called me back and gave me a refund, proper business for sure but sadly there are probably businesses that after the transaction was complete may have not done that. New selections and customer service are certainly reasons that I will be visiting again.

I stopped in the other night on a whim after getting a hot dog across the street. I’m new to the area, and have been quite dissapointed with the craft beer selections at other liquor stores I have visited in Hawthorne and Glen Rock. I’m glad I decided to try Diamond. They have a GREAT selection of craft beer from all over the country, including quite a few from right here in NJ(BESIDES flying fish… not knocking FF, just annoyed that it gets the lion share of attention when there are so many other wonderful NJ brews out there). Internation selection is top notch as well, with many Belgian and German outlyers. Good selection of large format bottles, as well as a wall of crafts you can assemble to make your own six pack. Prices aren’t great, but it’s a small shop, so they can’t provide the volume discount you would find at a bottle king or shop rite. Nonetheless, I’m removing a star for it. Staff was helpful, and were looking for suggestions on how they could make the shop even better for premium beer/wine/liquor patrons. They of course have all of the macro brews in 12 and 30 packs, as well as the big name liquors. I didn’t really check to see if they had regional or organic liquors, but if not, that would help as well. They own the bar next door as well, which I did not visit, but he said they would eventually try to mix in some craft with macros on tap there. Overall, a great find, and I will be back.
