Wow so many people stayed here over the weekend yet hardly any reviews. Obviously the Unilocal universe is allergic to this Hampton Inn for it’s relatively unfair reviews. If it’s the neighborhood that starts with the city and county getting it right together. So don’t hold this site responsible for the erosion all around. As for this Hampton Inn I can attest that we had a very enjoyable weekend stay in Hawthorne. Reasonably priced room, excellent customer service, indoor pool/jacuzzi, free breakfast in front dining room and very modern clean décor throughout the hotel. Beds were excellently clean and bed bug/roach free… yes I checked I like to investigate my rooms extensively before letting family up. Bathroom was very accessible and well stocked. The only snafus that keeps this place from a 5 stars review was Saturday morning the power kinda sorta went out. So therefore the breakfast wasn’t hot for very long and some lights kept going on and off. Hopefully this can be fixed in that future to help the hotel thrive even more. Overall though this hotel breaks the neighborhood blight with a touch of class. 4 stars for Hampton Inn Hawthorne.

Don’t even think about staying here!!! I arrived at the hotel on January 18, 2015. Went out an hour and came back to find the lights was out. They have no backup generators but, they have one to power some lights by the entrance and the garage. When I spoke to the person in charge, he gave me an answer that county code does not require them to have one… What kind of an answer to give to your guest??? Well, it shows they don’t care about their guest. And, if you have to make an emergency 911 call, don’t even think about using their phones because even that was not working. This is probably not the first time the power went out because, they had battery operated for the stairway which I had to go up 5 floors. Room all dark and not able to shower and etc. I can’t believe this hotel is with Hilton??? I should give them no star.

DON’T STAYHERE. … Talk about the worst hotel I have ever stayed at, the staff entered my room when I left, I came back to a cleaned room, but I had the do not disturb sign on the door. I asked the staff why someone had cleaned up my room and threw away some of my items like toothbrush, brush, soaps, cell charger, a dress that was on the bed. needless to say nothing was done. No one would even check for the stuff. When I checked out I was not giving a receipt. I called the hotel to get final charges and was told im being charged $ 250 for a smoking fee when I dont even smoke. That’s why I stayed at the hotel. I spoke to a manager named Vanessa, I pleaded with her, asking for help. But was told no and that’s there policy, no one ever said anything to me nor asked. I feel discriminated against due to my race, why would they pick me out of the hotel to charge a extra $ 250, for smoking well I read there website, the fee is $ 200, they keep charging my card, which is over $ 600.00 I will not be playing for something I didn’t do. I will get a attorney to help me get justice for this horrible hotels services. They should not be able to just go into a room and lie on me. Then charge me a bogus fee of $ 250… This is not customer service.

This was a newer clean Hamlton property, but it kind of disappointed in some silly ways. 1. I’m a big sports fan but this place doesn’t have one sports channel on their Tv’s at all. Not one. No ESPN nothing. 2. The shower door opens right into the show for the towels and the toilet. There is literally no room to get out of the shower the way it’s designed to open so you have to do it backwards. Other than that it’s a queen hotel which is always nice when things are in good repair.

New Hampton location opened in March 2014 I heard. They had one closer to the airport years ago but it’s turned into something else which is good because that one was pretty bad and run down. This one is very new, clean and conveniently located. Rate was decent also. Only bad thing, parking is in a locked up garage on a dead end street so call to get the code before you get there and it’s not the nicest area to be walking around at night.
