Been here a few times. And 59% of the time there was trouble. Ghetto people. .Ghetto bartender. Manager was nice.. But then again only two really old men when I went there in the after noon.

Ratchet as can be. I’ve in lived in Hawthorne for about 10 years and only recently come here for the first time. I could just tell from the people that hung out outside the bar and in the nearby parking lot that I didn’t ever want to actually go in this place. I had no desire. The first time I went in was with a coworker who wanted to have a drink when I got off. This was closest spot so here we go! The bartender Sierra* was very nice and pretty but she worked behind the bar by herself so the service was a bit slow. Everyone in there were regulars and they all knew each other. It just so happened to be karaōke night as well, so we got«treated» to some live entertainment In all fairness, several of the patrons could actually sing very well and it was fun to listen to. They also serve food which isn’t very good, so only order it if you feel like you’re going to die if you don’t have some food RIGHTNOW!

The Ratchet Rockit is what we call it but it’s a term of endearment. It’s not flashy. Total dive bar but the drinks are always well poured, the pool is always fun and the music is usually pretty good. I’d recommend this for drinks with friends or a cheap date.

Horrible service, bartender actually mocked us cause we asked her for a drink. She was drinking so professionalism flew out the window but disrespecting customers should not be tolerated. She made it a point to skip is a coupe time even after we tipped 25% tip in the first round of drink. I just moved to the are and I can tell u I will NERVER visit this establishment again and I ask that if u read this u don’t go so they understand how important CUSTOMER services is…

They have food late at night wowzers!!! I love food, but who doesn’t right? Their menu is very limited but its still good. The hot dogs are soo good. The drinks are regular prices as other locations. The staff are very welcoming. I have gone on a thursday night which is rock in spanish it gets more upbeat than salsa night apparently. There was a good crowd on thursday. On saturday night which is salsa night it was fun but not many wanted to dance. You do have to pay a cover charge of $ 10 after 9: pm. They should lower it down a bit i think. but other than that they play very good music. forgot to mention, they have Live bands.

Some days I wanna give this place 4 stars. Others I feel it warrants 1. It’s weird but let me dissect this. There’s only 2 ways to visit dive bars: During the day and during the night. I always seem to enjoy myself more during the day. Why? Cause you just run into old depressed locals who just want to have several beers and mind their own business. The bartenders seem to recognize this and oblige to these requests. All in all, it just tends to be a very quiet afternoon of quiet drinking with sport channels lazily playing in the background. Then a Jekyll and Hyde-kind-of-shit happens at night. This place gets real ugly. I’ve been here where a bartender is just dancing around with drunk horny losers eye-molesting her while she pays them no mind. The music is loud and weird. Mixture of west coast rap and EDM. Karaōke badly sung by drunk women. DJ plays music at times past the speakers limits. I came here one night after a late night shift and had whiskey straight. Some young punk was hitting on the bartender and being rowdy about why she wasn’t paying him any attention. Fast forward 30 minutes as she walks over to the jukebox and tells this drunk idiot; ‘You know what? SHUTTHEFUCKUP’ as she jumps onto the jukebox again. As a bartender, I thought this was the unclassiest thing I’ve ever seen. She goes on about some stupid little rant saying how she’s from New York and as soon as she said this I tuned her out. She asked me for my opinion and I told her ‘You lost me at New York. New York sucks.‘ I finished my drink and left after her little tirade. Fast forward another week after another long shift and this dude is at the bar. I end up getting a beer but he looks so tired/frustrated with life. No conversation whatsoever even though I tried to keep the mood light. So there you have it. Avoid this place at all costs at night cause the bartenders and patrons are weird as hell.

I’m pretty new to the area and just trying to find a place to have drinks near home. Well can’t say I had high expectations for this bar, as friends have told me this place is crappy. I thought I’d give it try on a Monday evening. Not very busy. Waited on the bartender and finally she attended us after about 5 minutes sitting near the bar area… We couldn’t find the bartender for a while… I think maybe some one bought the bartender shots because the friendly bug kicked in.

Great local bar. This used to be my local bar before I moved away I miss it. Friendly staff and good cheap drinks. Salsa night is always a fun night. Hopefully I find a rock it café in my new hometown.

Great local bar! Everytime I go to LA for work I stop in. Cheap and stiff drinks, friendly staff, T.V.s Everywhere to watch games. They even will put on the Giants game for me even though it’s a dodger city! They also serve food great burgers and wings. Hip hop and salsa nights there’s always a packed house.

This place has potential but today has rowdy ghetto crowds beat up pool tables and a cover charge for what you don’t even get what you pay for.

This place gets 5 stars because I met my girl there and we’re rolling strong. I was invited by my gf cousin before we started dating on the night of MLK day back in 2011. What a night that was lol. There was a dude that got low key booed for poor comedy, then there was this group with a white girl, a white dude, and a E-40 lookin ass nigga and in the midst of all this there was a guy with a poncho and a sombrero dancing on the floor lmao!!! That night some five percenter dude was all up on her and I was tryna holler but I couldn’t wit that dude all on her and with him all up on her I wasn’t getting the time of night from her it was like I wasn’t even there. After that night I was gone fall back but we kept in touch and something told me to give it a chance. Here we are two years later lol. Funny ass night lol

I went to this bar for the very first time. I had a couple of beers, I swear I was minding my own business when all of the sudden some 280 lb D. bag decides to check me on the back of my neck for no reason at all while I was drinking my beer then the D bag tells me that he was sorry and tried to shake my hand… I was sooo pissed I told him to F. off and decided not to react cause I knew that it was going to be a bad situation and I did not want to get arrested, what sucked the most the bar tender saw the whole thing and she acted like nothing had happen, I could tell right away by her reaction that the D. bag was a frequent costumer of that bar, obviously he was looking for a fight. I payed my bill and left. This place is bad news.

Never have I had a bad time there. The bartenders are nice but DJ Mike is the best(Fri nights). He hardly plays this new BS they got on the radio. If you love old school tunes mixed in with a little latin flavor this is the spot! Some people think its ghetto but its really not that bad. Its a Dive bar! Not a Hollywood club! Love love love this place!!!

I will not lie to you: I couldn’t resist their oh-so-punny name. Our kickass bartender, Jessica, didn’t skimp on the alcohol. She poured us a Captain and Coke with a hefty amount of Cap’n. The fuzzy navel she made us didn’t really taste like one, but whatever it was, it sure was fruity and tasty. Patrons really did rock it at Rock It, dancing and singing(!) Wednesday night away.(Karaōke performances included Tina Turner’s «What’s Love Got To Do With It», Snoop Dogg’s «Gin and Juice», and 2Pac’s «How Do You Want It».) Others were shooting pool, playing bar games, and drinking. A few were munching on light bar fare and watching sports on flat-screens. This fun, divey watering hole delivers with inexpensive, quality, drinks and surprisingly random karaōke. Stop in!
