Evergreen Volunteer Fire and Rescue

Firemen and women rock but it would have been nice if they found my house when it was on fire. One would have thought the light from the flames in the dead of the night would have been a giveaway. We put it out with our pool as they kept driving back and forth. But still love ya fire men and women stay safe

I think it’s oh so very important to support your local fire and police departments when one gets the opportunity! They have difficult jobs and they are there to support and protect all of us.
So this morning I went down to the local Evergreen Volunteer Fire & Rescue — to support them at one of their periodic «Pancake Breakfasts.» For $ 5.00 — you can have all of pancakes, sausage, and coffee you can ingest. All of the money goes to support the local volunteer Fire Department. Typically the event runs from 8:00 am — 11:00 am. The Firehouse is located on U.S. 15 on the northern end of the Haymarket area.
Yeah, not a lot of selection — but it’s a nice way to help contribute back to the community. Pancakes were actually pretty good, and the sliced patty sausages were tasty. Coffee was nothing exciting — just your normal every day run-​of-​the-​mill coffee. There were also a couple of juice choices.
I did not come to gorge — I paid my $ 5.00 — got two pancakes, three sausage patties, and a cup of coffee.
There were quite a lot of people eating while I was there. The building is pretty old, so the place feels like stepping back in time a couple of decades.
