This is a staple in our household! Always great, never had a single issue with the food or service. Can’t speak highly enough, we drive a bit extra to go to this specific one. It is well worth it! Family run, very caring people and interact well with their customers.

The lamb sandwich is one of the best I’ve ever had, but don’t miss out on the chic peas! Also, even though you’re going to bust your gut making sure you try everything, you’ve got to order the hummus and warm naan. I love that it’s family owned and operated, and you can see the whole family working together in the kitchen. There’s a younger man who is always working the register when I go in, and he’s really polite. A+.

Been there several times, always get the same thing: the boneless chicken breast, and it’s good every time. The sides(chick peas, rice, and bread) are consistently good too. Place could be a little nicer inside but it doesn’t keep me from coming back.

Good food, Bad customer service I placed an order at the counter to the most indifferent young man. After waiting for like 20 mins at my seat for the food(I was the only customer at the time on a Saturday afternoon) the guy at the front said«Here’ your food» and basically come get it. I was the only lady in the place would’ve it hurt to much to kindly bring it over to me? I would have had I’d been my only customer.

First of all, I have never had bad service here. They are always kind, patient, and helpful. For instance, I am trying a plant-based diet for Veganuary. The lady at the cash register was nice enough to explain to me that they don’t like using butter in their cooking. Their rewards program is great, too, and often entices us to come back. This is one of those compromise restaurants that is so important when one partner is vegetarian and one partner is not. My husband likes getting the Super Dish, which is a giant tray full of meat with some vegetables thrown in for good measure. I get a modified veggie dish because they are nice enough to substitute the eggplant in their usual veggie dish for more chickpeas. The chickpeas are literally like crack. I don’t know what they put in them but holy crap. We went here with family the night before our wedding. My husband’s cousin’s girlfriend messaged me – from Florida — to ask what is in the chickpeas because she is addicted to them. I’m telling you, the chickpeas are crack…

Huge fan of the food, not the biggest fan of the service. I come here quite often and order the boneless chicken breast with brown rice. The chicken is almost always cooked to perfection. Sometimes it can be a bit chewy so I always ask them to cook it well done. But it tastes wonderful. I cannot rave enough about their rice, chick peas, and the sauces they offer. I love the special green sauce which is a mixture of yogurt and green chili. Great to dip the chicken in as well as mix in with the rice. The chick peas are always hot and steamy, even when I order carry out and bring it home. The only complaint I have is the service. I’ve been coming here for so long that I’m pretty well aware who the owner is, and the fact that he has his children working at his restaurant. His daughters are very nice and always box up of my food exactly how I asked over the phone. But their son really should not be working there at all. Every time I go there, he’s talking with one of his friends, and completely ignoring the customers. He sounds very nice over the phone, which is deceiving. Every time he boxes up my food for carryout, there’s ALWAYS something wrong. Last time I even asked him again to confirm what was in my bag and when I got home, it was nothing that I asked for. If you ask me, his dad should really not have him working there any longer. He seems very careless and does not care about the customers at all Otherwise, this place is fantastic. Definitely recommend it

I was a boring eater until my husband started introducing me to various ethnic cuisines. This place has a nice variety of Afghanistan cuisine. My two favorite dishes are the chicken entrée and the gyro. The meat is always tender and the seasoning is delicious. Their entrees are served with rice, Naan, a chick pea side and a little house salad. It is very delicious!

I seriously cannot say enough good things about this place… it. is. delicious. I visit K Kabob 2 – 3 times a month and it never gets old! I don’t like lamb, and yet their lamb kabob is one of the most amazing things I’ve ever eaten. Can’t go wrong with the Boneless Chicken Breast or Boneless Chicken Thigh kabob, as well. For apps — highly recommend the eggplant(mouth watering), the aushak, or the mantu. Amazing!!! And if you like a little spice, the Afghan Carayee is incredible. What are you waiting for? GO! You won’t regret it!

I have been frequenting Kabul Kabob since they opened their first store in Gainesville. I can honestly say that every experience I have their is better than my last. The staff is friendly and the food is incredible. If you are unsure what to get, might I recommend the Super Dish!!! You will never look back after ordering it, because it is phenomenal!!!

I work relatively close to this place and I’m always willing to try something different, so I wandered in here… …and now I find myself addicted to their chickpeas. Everything else I’ve had here(Aushak, Mantu, sandwich, etc.) were all great, but I find myself CRAVING the chickpeas. Delicious addiction.

The kebabs here are amazing, and the bread is the best I think I’ve had. They’re really different from other kebabs I’ve had. Now if they’d only go back to delivering like their other location. But still, delicious food at good prices and a rewards program. The wait can be long but they’re still my fav kebabs in haymarket.

I love this place. You cannot go wrong with the lamb kabob plate or the gyro. I have yet to have something here that was not full of flavor. The staff is very friendly. If you are looking to try something new this is the place to go.

BEWARE: I witnessed the owner(older Arab man) go on a psychotic rampage on a customer who was trying to ask why her bread was still uncooked, a perfectly reasonable question. His daughter who works there had to physically restrain him while he was throwing stuff and yelling and making aggressive motions towards the customers running back and forth. TOTALINSANITYFOR A BUSINESS, not to mention how embarrassed his daughter was, actually felt sorry for her. Wow never seen anything like that must be a cultural thing definitely not allowed here. Will never frequent this place again with this obnoxious rude and offensive owner. Stay away.

The husband and I went there tonight for the first time. I had the lamb kabob sandwich and he had the lamb kabob with brown rice. The waiting time was around 15 minutes but we knew it would be like that since they make their food fresh to order. My sandwich came with a side of chick peas that were delicious. The bread was fresh, fluffy and tasty. The lamb perfectly cooked and tender. The special sauce they put on it was very tasty too. Definitely something I will want to eat again soon. My husband said his was very delicious too. The rice tasted different from what he usually has(in a good way). He wasn’t too excited about the salad that came with his lamb(lettuce, tomato, cucumber) but still ate some. And his lamb was just like mine. The green sauce/dressing that comes with the order is great too. Now that we’ve been there I can’t wait to try more of their food. It all sounds awesome, and we brought home a menu, so next time I’ll be prepared!

Don’t miss out if you are in the area. Always great food and plenty of it. Staff is friendly and accommodating. You’ll definitely be craving more in short order. Oh, you’ll want to ask for an extra order of chick peas, yum!!!

I was quite disappointed with the gyro sandwich I got to go yesterday. The meat was very dry and I ended up throwing most of it away. It tasted like the meat was warmed up in the microwave as it was really tough. I would have returned it if I was dining in. I have had much better gyro sandwiches here in the past. I was surprised they put this dryed out meat in my sandwich.

Amazing food, and plenty of it! Two platters stuffed my family of four. The seasoning is fantastic on the chicken, beef or lamb. In addition, they provided two extra sides: one large serving of chick peas and a chicken stew that was amazing. Yes, the spices will give your taste buds a bit of a burn, but it’s a good burn! Enjoy!

My husband and I have become obsessed with this place and we even got my parents hooked on it too. My favorite is their gyro sandwich with the green sauce — not sure what it’s called. We have dined in and gotten it as take out many times. Always consistently good, flavorful and reasonable prices. I’ve tried lots of gyros at lots of other places in the area and these are my favorite.

The name of this new restaurant is: Kabul Kabob House II — it’s the sister restaurant to the location in Gainesville, VA. The restaurant has been open less than one month. I stopped in for the first time this evening — ordered the Deluxe Kabob — to go. It comes with with three Kabobs — one chicken, one lamb, and one Shami, plus salad, bread, and chickpeas. You do get rice with it — but I opted for no rice. All three Kabobs were tender and tasty. The salad was rather ordinary. The chickpeas were good. I found out while picking up my order that you can get your food spicier if you let them know when placing the order. Which I will try next time. Folks working here were very nice! Definitely worth your time to check out!
