Great service and friendly people. A true family-​owned business that treats you like one of their own. Brought my dad’s new watch here to get the extra chains out along with his old «broken» watch for proper sizing. Mr. Vargas fixed the old watch’s chain and informed me that it was not broken. The battery was improperly placed, so he fixed that and it was working again! He only charged me for taking the extra chains out on the new watch. My dad was happier to see that his old watch was again working than getting the new one :).

Family-​owned jewelry store that provides warm, friendly service with reasonable prices. I have been buying jewelry for members of the female persuasion that I love for many years. I always get excellent attention, guidance, and flexibility from Rod and the other members of his family.
Everything from expensive jewelry to cleaning your watch and putting in a new battery are all offered with a smile. This is a small local business that we should treasure and support!!!

alright i was walking saw some cool stuff in the window. i been wanting to get a ring for years. could never find a place to do it. and no one could measure my finger to tell me how big it is.
i came in got my finger measured great people great atmosphere. lots of cool stuff.

Had to get a couple links removed from a new watch I got and Unilocal pointed me here. Rod was friendly as could be and took it in the back to get started. 2 – 3 minutes later he came out with my watch and when I asked what I owed him he said no charge. Thanks!
I had a few minutes to browse the store and they have some really nice engagement rings a long with watches and older unique jewelry, as well as some collectibles and odds and ends. Interesting store and I’ll definitely return in the future.

Avalon Jewelers is a wonderful place, and Rod is a brilliant craftsman. From the moment my husband and I walked into his store, he made us feel so comfortable and at ease. He’s such a nice, kind, knowledgeable, interesting and super friendly guy… we really enjoyed meeting him.
His prices are very reasonable, and he truly has some marvelous items in his store. From pieces that he’s designed/​crafted himself, to other items that run the gamut: vintage, antique, tribal, deco, modern, southwestern… you name it!
I was admiring some pieces in the showcase, and I had no idea that HE was the one that personally crafted them — until we started chatting about some specific pieces. He was very modest. He has designed some remarkable pieces (rings, earrings, etc.) His originality and attention to detail is unsurpassed.
My husband and I have been looking for a band to go with my wedding ring for years. We are both VERY picky and haven’t been able to find anything. Then… THERE IT WAS! The PERFECT band! IT… WAS… BEAUTIFUL! My husband and I both fell in love with it from the moment we saw it. Then we found out that Rod designed it! That meant so much to us. To meet the man who personally designed and crafted my dream ring. It was serendipitous, as it was our 25 year wedding anniversary… how perfect is that??? However, I didn’t think we could afford it, so I tried to restrain myself.
Then my husband surprised me with this GORGEOUS platinum and diamond anniversary band, personally designed/​crafted by Ron — and I LOVE IT! I’ve only been wearing it for 3 days, and I’ve had at least 40 people compliment me on it. All the gals at work had to try it on, and they fell in love. Who can blame them? It’s AMAZING!

It may be affordable, but you get what you pay for. Or significantly less than you pay for, in my case.
Repair work leaves something to be desired… last time my ring «repaired», I was told silver would be used to attach the setting and I was given a lifetime guarantee. When I picked it up from the store, the setting was still loose and I was told it still needed to dry (I was unaware silver needed several hours to dry) and there was some kind of clear residue coming from where the setting was attached.
It broke again this morning, not even 6 months later, and it has residue that suggests it was repaired with super glue. If this is the case, I was charged me quite a lot of money for something I could have done at home.
This ring has been in my family for many, many years, and means a great deal to my fiancé and me. I’m honestly a little disgusted that it was handled so insensitively. Absolutely taking my business elsewhere.

I had an old wedding set that had been worn for fifty plus years. I took it to Rod and quickly he identified what needed to be done to secure the stones and to correct the worn gold.
He connected the rings together to make a stronger bond he reset all the stones and fixed the prongs. Upon receiving the ring just before Christmas as promised, the ring looked like it was brand new, no one have guessed this ring was as old as it was.
After giving it to my wife. We came in to have it resized and he did I it on the spot while we waited.
There is no question who gets my business for jewelry.
