Awesome! Good Food and Drinks, they have a nice atmosphere and employees, I always enjoy coming here. Have a good selection of beers and ciders too, for those who are gluten free or who don’t like beer. Food is really good. They sometimes have a local BBQ and that is AMAZING. Great place to catch a game or a drink

2nd time there, yeah never going there ever again, 1st time 35−40min for a beer! Really, thats how long it took with a guy waiting on 2 – 3 tables and now the 2nd time not any better plus better selection was awful, maybe it’s just my luck but not going there again and kitchen closes at 9:30 but yet you still serve beer till 10pm and atleast i got a brew within 5 minutes but the girl didnt check in after 20mins and where at the counter sitting, but its ok she’s eating her cup of chili thats more important! her attention was on one guy the whole time and she seemed bubbly they should get someone with some beer knowledge and attends people at the counter and not just have a person for eye candy, IMO

Went on a whim and it was great! It was a Saturday before seeing a movie next door and the owner was hand serving all guests smoked salmon. I’m normally not a fan of fish but it was delicious. Great welcoming, and relaxed environment with a ton of options for beer lovers.

We stopped in here a couple of months back and the experience was very enjoyable. Bartender was very informative, griller was top-notch, nice group of patrons. Decided to stop in again and catch the Warriors while we dined and had brews. Two women working didn’t once acknowledge us(hard to miss as we were smack dab in the middle of the bar). After a more than reasonable wait, we got up and left. I left the door open wide to let them know we had been there. Even an «I’ll be with you in a minute» would have made a difference, as these two knuckleheads walked back and forth in front of us several times. May try some other time, but wouldn’t recommend it until I saw an improvement in service. Note to taller woman working night of Jan 13: wear pants that you don’t have to keep pulling up each time you bend over to pick up a glass. I don’t want to use tableware after someone continually puts their hands in their waistband to pull them up.

I really want to give this place a better review. It is ALWAYS packed when I come in here, and I’ve gone in at like 2pm before. The bartenders aren’t fast enough for the usual number of customers they have, and the kitchen is slower still. I’ve only eaten here once, and it’s not good enough to wait for. That being said; I haven’t been to a place with more beer selection. That’s a plus. The bartenders are really nice, another plus. I’ve been able to engage random people at the bar there multiple times and have had great experiences, another plus. I want to like this place more than I do. I really want a place that has a lot of brews on tap, and big bar and fast servers. I think most of Hayward does, and that’s why this place gets swamped.

Highly enjoyed our time here. Plenty of beers to choose from. Hubby and I shared a meat sampler. All of it was good, even the Salmon and I hate Salmon but I tried it anyway. French fries are crisp and fresh. Couple of big TVs to watch. Service was friendly.

New gem in Hayward! Amazing brats, and they have ciders on tap! A great place to catch the Warriors game or if you’re grabbing a meal before /after a movie. The fries are RIDICULOUSLY good too! I could eat a whole basket of those fries.

The Spicy Cajun Chicken was very good. The Pulled Pork pork was also good. Went back and had the Louisiana Hot Link; it was good too. Friendly service but could be more engaged with customers.

1. Great selection of brews and brats. 2. Place is kinda small, but it was a Tuesday night and it wasn’t so busy. 3. Affordable price. 4. Great place to chill and burn an hour or so.

Cute little place, definitely more of a 3 ½ star than 4 but because the servers were great(they forgot one of our orders and quickly apologized) I bumped them up to 4. Came here to watch some football, good atmosphere even for how small it is. Was super excited about the two new ciders I fell in love with — pear & a Pinot Grigio one. The Texas brat and fries I had were delicious. My bf had the tri-tip and though it was good, way too expensive for how little meat was offered and especially with it being on a hot dog bun. Probably will come back again for the good drink selection.

Great service, the waiter was around to helpfully answer all of our answers about their brews. You can actually sample their beers before you decide to buy! They had both the Kings and the Warriors games on 2 full HD tv’s, so it was like heaven. Their selection of drinks is very nice and the full swing ipa was my favorite!

Brews & Brats serves locally sourced craft beers(7) and various sausages(7) eats: texas brat(7) –didn’t taste much flavor –regular hot dog bun fell apart easily, an hoagie bun would be better –all sausages/meat sourced from 4505 meats. –house made mustard and sauerkraut yummy. –bbq meats, pulled pork coming soon on draft: –pours(7) ranges from 13 oz to 20 oz. anderson valley, naked knee?, etc. nice place, improvements needed. –friendly, helpful advice from barrista. would repeat…3.5 stars

On our last visit, a red-cheeked older gentleman, maybe the manager or owner, asked if we wanted to sample the tri-tip or brisket. He came back offering 3 slices of tri-tip on top of a chef knife, sharp tip facing us. He was briskly weaving his way in and out of the crowded dining room aisle offering samples with a knife pointing towards everybody. You cannot walk around with a sharpened chef knife in a dining room restaurant, EVER! It’s fucking dangerous. What if he tripped? What if somebody bumped into him? Blows my mind. The food and drinks are good. I’ve tried the smoked salmon, pulled pork, and various brats and they’ve all been really good. In my experience, this is 2 star because of poor dining etiquette.

This place is close to good but not quite there. My brats, the hot link and the white hot were both very dry and tasted very similar. The grind was very coarse which didn’t jive with the dryness and its flavor was uninspiring. I ordered them plain as I always do sausages so the meat shines, or in this case doesn’t, on its own. The menu features a ton of add ins but imo that is a crutch to cover subpar sausages. The service was ok, attentive but again not quite there. We ordered, the server repeated it back to us and it was mostly wrong immediately. The food did come out correct except for one side never made it to the table. The beer selection was good, but the first beer I ordered from their board was out. It seemed to lack a lager/light beer from the selection. Music was pretty loud and the place was not that crowded, blaring pop-reggae.

Hubby and I stopped in to Brews & Brats for dinner last night. We wanted to go out for a bite and decided to head to downtown Hayward. We walked around, stepped into a few places to peruse menus, and hubby chose Brews and Brats. First off, the service was great here — I can’t remember the guy’s name who was working, but excellent service — friendly, checked in on us, gave us recommendations, etc. Hubby got the Texas Brat on a bun with Sauerkraut and I ordered the Hot Cajun Chicken Brat over a house salad with the Breakfast topping. Both orders were delicious and I was very happy that they offer the option to have it over a salad. Definitely works better for me and my tummy to have some greens in the mix. The breakfast topping was also awesome — can’t get any better than a runny fried egg on top of meat. YUM! I opted to have one of their ciders, Schilling Cider, which was good. Overall, fun spot to hang out and grab a bite. I would recommend it for those who like beer and/or sausages!

My friend helped out with some of the bricking of this place and I had to come here and try it out. The brat was awesome. I went with mushroom and swiss with onions. noms!!! The fries were also delicious. I don’t drink but fortunately they have plenty of soda options. Parking is literally next door. Owner was in the day I went and was super friendly… In looking at the options of brews… definitely lives up to is name.

Great little spot. Wide selection of craft beer and the Brats are«Old School» good. Clean with a great looking bar. The place has 3 big flat screens to catch the games. Plus the staff know their stuff and will let you sample before you buy.

I would have given this place 5 stars but for the following two reasons I decided not to. 1st– they are called brews and brats… and they don’t have a veggie brat! We live in an area where vegetarian options are so easily available. I was so disappointed… plus the bar tender said she has been asked soo many times for a vegetarian brat. The owners should seriously Consider this. 2nd– the only thing besides fries was the beer vegetarian chili. it was too sweet and nasty. Positives: –good beer! –awesome fries!

I was out Freewheeling in my Whip Black Beauty and noticed Brews & Brats was open for Business. So I parked my Whip and Street hiked in . Brews and Brats has a Great Décor and the Atmosphere is very Chill there . Maybe even Romantic as I saw a Couple making out at the Bar . Fun Facts about Brews and Brats : There’s a Stripe that runs the length of the Natural wood bar and match’s the Stripe on the Natural Wood kitchen door. There are Purse Hooks under the Bar and USB ports so you can keep your phones charged . On the Brick walls there are Bricks that were Picked from SF business’s that survived the 1906 Earthquake and Fires. The Owner of the Business Julio came up with the Concept of his business from his Family’s past History in South America. His Family had provided a Safe Haven for some Refugees escaping Germany during World War 2 and they taught his family about German Food and Sausages. The Owner Julio’s Middle name comes from one of the Refugees that his family had provided a Safe Haven too. They have 16 Craft Brews on Tap . Happy Hour is 3pm –6pm — Mon– Fri -$ 5 Beers. 3 Large LED TVs for Entertainment . They have Adult Beer Floats with Campfire Stout in it. Yummy!!! While I was escaping the Heat I enjoyed one of my Favorite Beers with Swagger –Arrogant Bastard Ale. So Good . I ordered one of their French Brats fully dressed . One of the Hot Bartenders brought me my Brat and I was very impressed when I saw it . Even happier when I wolfed that puppy down. Delish !!! While I was Chilling out I saw a guy get a Brat to go, It was so good that he returned a hour later with a lady friend and ate a few more lol. I sampled a few of their other Beer Offerings. hey have definitely got a Beer for everyone’s taste . Julio the Owner has done a great job Hiring and Training his Staff. Everyone working there is Very Friendly, Informative, Enthusiastic and Attractive Whether your looking for a spot to Kick it, Or take a Date to Chill out or a Before or After Movie Drink or a Bite to eat this is a great place.

So we have been watching & waiting for this place to open for what seemed forevaH! So it opens and really don’t have time for Buffalo Bills, so here we are! A superb choice of on tap beers. We settle on a very cold pint of Stones Arrogant Bastard & ordered up a Chili Louisiana Hot & split a fry’s, solid and flavorful. Staff was friendly and offered a taste of any thing they had. I think the space is nice but a little small if they were busy(capacity seems about 12 at bar and 7 tables 23 seats), if they are busy I can see issues. If was to make 1 little suggestion, loss paper liner in basket, real plates would be awesome. Over all I give BB4.5 stars they will eat into Buffalo Bills bottom line a little bit.
