After being a native Haywardian, I’m embarrassed to say I finally tried Bronco Billy’s for the first time as a 27 year old. The menu had quite a variety of toppings and their prices are sliiightly on the higher side but not too crazy. My mom and I got a medium pepperoni, chicken, and garlic pizza. My mom is a snob when it comes to restaurants using fresh«real» chicken versus pre-cooked packaged chicken and she LOVED their chicken. It was big chunks(almost too big) and seasoned well. They have 2 size salad bowls; the small one you don’t get refills and the bigger and more expensive one you get unlimited refills. The catch is, when you have the bigger bowl, you don’t need as many refills(if any)! I got the big salad bowl thinking I would want a refill but it was so big that I didn’t even get a refill! They have a good selection of craft beers and they even have happy hour with deals on pints and pitchers. The one issue that we had was that THREE other people’s pizzas(that ordered after us) were done before us. Do the pizzas in order please! There were a million kids in there due to 3 birthday parties so be prepared for loud chaos if you come on a weekend, lol. There is a small arcade area with a claw machine and some games including my favorite. CRUIS’N USA!

I just had a great tasting vegetarian pizza… I am giving them a 5-star for their customer service… Due to religious reasons, I asked the staff to change their gloves that had touched meat products before making my pizza… After 25 minutes of waiting given the place was busy… I went to the counter to see how my pizza was coming along… I noticed that the staff in charge of preparing the food… changed his gloves and even wiped clean the cutting blade… before handling my food… My hats off to the team… I look forward to my great pizza there… The vegetarian and Mediterranean(also vegie)…also the best in town…

It doesn’t take 7 minutes to take a phone order and if it does perhaps he person working the register who has 3 people in line should hand off the call. Maybe??? While typing this the 3rd person walked out. :(at least the service was respectful and pleasant this time. :)

Favorite because I live up in the hills but they even have linguisa and the cowboy is my favorite pizza slice.

Coming here since 2002 or so. The«slices» are huge square small pizzas. The prices are good and there are beer specials at slower hours during the day which is a good practice to smooth out demanding hours. I always feel terrible after eating here — the food is very heavy especially with a beer or two. I’m suspicious of the quality of their meat and cheeses. Definitely not the best there is… but this mostly caters to young college adults — I doubt food quality is a priority of their target audience. I still go back over and over — I like the atmosphere more than anything. The memories of lunch hour here with old college classmates is priceless. Come here and make your own memories — try not to over eat. Maybe split a «slice» with a friend and order the salad bar and some chicken wings for a more balanced meal.

This is my favorite pizza place in Hayward! If your looking for a cheap dinner or lunch this is the place! What I highly recommend is getting there SLICES. They start from 4.95 for cheese and add about another .50 cents per topping. Some of you guys might be thinking that for a slice of pizza this is expensive, but their slices are about the size of a big small pizza. It will get you full for sure. This place always has deals going on and if you go to CSUEB show your student ID and get a discount on your pizza. This place is perfect for takeout or dine in. One of the best pizza places in Hayward.

I would like to amend my review to say the last four times I’ve been here, they have gotten my order wrong and seemed unapologetic about it. I decided to give them yet another chance and I only had an hour to get my food and grab it to-go, so I knew things would be risky. It was really disappointing to get my pizza and see that they made it wrong again and that I didn’t have time to wait for them to remake it and possibly forget or make it wrong again, or get food elsewhere. Sigh.

I usually have a decent time at this place but I had the most unnerving moment here today. I walk up to the register and greet the person taking my order with a smile. He’s mumbling all the while there’s a lot of noise behind me because of the playoff game. As I give him my order, he all of a sudden wants to be coherent and interrupts me with a «name???». Then he asks me for here or to go. Then I had to repeat my simple ass order to him. So frustrating. So much disrespect. The most incompetent service I’ve ever had. I love their pizza and frequent bronco Billy’s because it’s so close to campus but I might just dodge this place if I see the dude again. He was wearing a black hat with neon detailing. Worst service of my life.

This is my favorite pizza ever! I like my pizza crunchy and«well done». I came here years ago while being a student at East Bay. About $ 5 for a «slice» of pizza(depending on how many toppings you want to add on to it) but in reality it’s more than enough and like a personal pizza. Once you order, it’s a bit of a wait until your food is ready but it’s definitely well worth it! They have plenty of TV’s around showing sports games while you wait. There’s also a little arcade area that can keep you entertained while you wait if that’s your thing. If you’re a CSUEB student and present your ID card you get a discount off of your order. I highly recommend!

I would love to give this place 5 stars because the pizza is really good and I’ve never had a problem when I order on my lunch hour, but this evening when I called in my order at 6:25 pm I was rudely rushed me off the phone and then the guy hung up on me. When I called back to cancel my order because of the lack of customer service(after being hold forever), he said«Great! Thanks». Apparently Bronco Billy’s doesn’t want my business anyways. I understand being busy, but at least have respect for your customers. Working in customer service myself, and having to answer the phone all day I have never acted the way this guy treated me this evening. If you don’t care about the service you receive come here, they have good pizza. But if you have respect for yourself round table is really good too. And they have better customer service One star is because the pizza is good and one star for the lunch shift employees.

I have been coming to this place since 1996 and I would have to say that I will come here for another 20 years. The best pizza on the west coast.

Back in the day when I used to think white zinfandel was the isssh, Bronco Billys provided the much needed alcohol absorber. Their pizza pies fit the college budget and thankfully was chock full of toppings and flavor. The Chuck Wagon delight has the right combo of meat and veggies that will leave you with enough leftovers for the next day. I had a very successful first date here with a guy who I had a HUGE crush on and then we became boyfriend & girlfriend. That was ten years ago — we’re no longer together, but I’m happy to see that Bronco Billys was able to stand the test of time. How’s this for a #ThrowbackThursday? ;-)

Best pizza around. I live 25 minutes away, yet I’ll still drive over the hill to eat here. Even my kids love it. If you’ve never been you owe it to yourself. It can get busy, so be patient if you go during a busy time. Apparently word has spread about this place. Show your student ID and get 15% off.

Ever since I started going to school at CSUEB, i’ve always been looking for a place where I could go after class enjoy few beers and some tasty pizza or burgers. I use to go De Anza and after class I would always go to the Brit for beers and fish and chips. However down the hill there haven’t been that many choices. Than I discovered this place and now I have found my favorite go to spot after class. They have a good selection of beers and a good selection of pizza to pick from. We also have some very good lunch deals which is great for a student like myself. The staff is also amazing and very friendly. Overall I tried to come here at least once a week because sometime she need a cold beer after a long day of class.

Not a local to this area, but came here with friends who said it was delicious. We ordered the New York Style, and the sauce for me was on the sweeter side. Not a complaint at all, just trying to describe the pizza. I really do think that it is worth the price. From the other pizza places I have been to, I am surprised they don’t charge more. I guess because it is a little out of the way for everyone? The name of the place matches the interior. You will see what I am talking about. Soda machine made my drink taste weird, so I got beer instead. I would come again. Good beer, good pizza, good times.

I love Bronco Billys! The first time I came here, I ordered 2 medium sized pizzas to share with 3 other friends. I don’t remember what flavors we got, but I remember it being just okay. So why the 5 stars you say? Their SLICES are the moneymaker! Do not be deceived. One slice = one personal pizza of 8 small slices. For my boyfriend, it’s the perfect size. For me, I always end up with a slice or two leftover to devour later :) If you come with more people, I would suggest each ordering a slice of your choice, and then doing it family style, so you can get some variety! For $ 5.75, I got a slice of Chicken Coupe(Chicken and Fresh Garlic). I’ve tried other kinds, but this is definitely my favorite! It’s so simple, yet so GOOD. The chicken was tender and juicy and the garlic was extremely garlicky, which I love! The bread was crispy and carbolicious. I like this location more than the Hayward one because it’s much more spacious and brightly lit. Do order ahead of time by phone, so that your food will be ready as soon as you get there! I can’t wait to go back! Pizza is life.

I was all about Bronco’s while in College, given it’s just up the hill from CSU East Bay, and went at least once a week. The service is great and you got a discount with your Bay Card. This review is from my last visit, be is many years post College, on a night I was on campus advising recruitment. I called ahead when I was in San Leandro about to drive to campus and my food was hot and ready when I arrived! The staff was really nice and it was just like I remembered it. You can’t go wrong with a Slice, more bang for your buck, and you can get any combination you want. My go-to is sausage & pineapple. Head over and grab a slice… while you’re at it grab a pint too! Their beer selection has certainly improved since College!

This is the best pizza I have found in the entire Bay Area,(& let me insert why it is the best) and I have been on a quest since I arrived in Cali 7 months ago. Updated 11÷10÷15: What makes BB’s the best I have found is that I love a great New York style Pizza, but being from Chicago and loving a great dough, I spend my life in the third circle of pizza hell with conflicting tastes. Shhh, dont tell dante. Anywho… Billy pizza is that awesome New York style Sauce and gooey cheesiness on a semi thin to thick dough crust that feels good when you sink your teeth into it. The pizza is hot, the cheese is real, the flavors are comforting and the dough reminds me of Chicago(on a diet). Lol excellent pizza. The service is worth the wait, and they are always nice and the pizza is consistently good. I don’t have a problem with this place at all. Close to home, great pizza, and fantastic service with a smile. Definitely a regular here.

Graduated from East Bay awhile ago and this is still one of my favorite spots for pizza. Slices are huge, I thought they were personal pizza size when I first got one. I’ve only had the Ornery Outlaw(ham, chicken, bacon) but it’s all I need. So good! They offer a lot of discounts for students, lunch specials, and happy hours so it’s definitely an affordable spot. Great place for groups with lots of big tables and even an area blocked off if you’ve got a bigger party going. Perfect for students who need a break from school stress and want to relax over some good pizza and drinks. There’s plenty of parking and it’s walking distance from campus so it’s very convenient. It is a biiiiiit dark(windows only at the entrance) and lightweight dingy/dirty but eh, the food is good!

This was one of my favorite locations during my college years as it was only a minute or two away from my campus. I always thought it offered some of the best pizza, and I’m glad to report not much has changed. Came here this past Friday, and very little had changed. Still had the trademark arcade, and this offered exemplary pizza. Fantastic pizza to be perfectly honest. They also had a pumpkin beer that was easily the best pumpkin beer I had ever tasted. It was that damn good. The pizza’s aren’t all that cheap, but you really do get every bang for your buck, so the end result is that it’s worth it. They must use the freshest ingredients as it’s really some of the best pizza. Overall, if you like pizza give it a shot will you? Or the ghost of the pumpkin that were used for their beer will get you.
