I am a long time customer over the years and I’ve never had to return anything until now.
I ordered a special order t-​shirt and it cost over $ 60 with shipping and handling.
The shirt was beautiful, but it was cut very small and it didn’t fit my husband.
I contacted Cafepress and told them I wanted to return it.
They went ahead and refunded the money to my account AND let me keep the shirt — which will be a nice gift for a friend.
Cafepress has always had quality products and that’s why I always check them out when looking for t-​shirts and other products.
Now I know they have the BEST customer service and I will continue to be a returning customer for sure now!
In fact, I ordered another t-​shirt last night!
I can’t recommend Cafepress enough.
Oh! They ship super fast, too!

Like many of the other reviewers, ordered a shirt but when it arrived realized we needed a larger size and they sent it right away and told me to keep the smaller one. Not sure who I’ll give it to though, very nerdy ;-)

If you are going to have a .ca website and automatically have everything priced in Canadian dolloars, and take your customers all the way through checkout without a single indication that items will be shipping across the border from the U.S. (with the tariffs and taxes that go with that) instead of through a true Canadian subsidiary located within Canada, YOU ARE OUT TO MISLEAD THE PUBLIC. I am still waiting 2 and a half weeks after placing my order, with no update to tracking in 10 days. This item has been in New Jersey for all this time. Who knows when or if it will turn up. Had this been a true Canadian site, my order would have been here well in time for Christmas.

I ordered items two weeks ago with a GUARANTEE that they would be delivered by Christmas. Well it’s Christmas eve and guess what? No gifts! I even tried calling them yesterday but it seems they are closed FOR THE WEEK due to Christmas. Seriously? You are an online retailer and closed for the week???
When I email, I get this generic response. It’s absurd. Based on the reviews here, I should have known better. Live and learn I guess.

I want to give them zero star but that’s not possible. I placed 10 different personalized order to be sent to 10 different people and no one received the right order. I also place a huge order on 12÷05÷13 and did not received it until today! Poor customer service and slow response.

Horrible experience! On December 6^th I ordered a Tshirt with «guaranteed by Christmas» delivery. I kept checking the status and my order said that delivery was expected on December 17^th or 18^th. On December 19^th I still did not have my order and the website showed it was still not shipped. Once I finally got a person in customer service, I was told that even if they upgraded my shipping to overnight I would not have my item by Christmas and likely not until after New Year as their production was too backed up. Apparently their guaranteed by Christmas just means they will cancel the order. I will never do business with this company again.

They suck! I ordered large holiday cards for my son’s two teachers for the whole class to sign. I paid 12.99 extra for two day shipping to get them on the 9^th of December. It is the 12^th of December and from the tracking info, they have not even sent it yet!!! Sucky site. I am so PISSED!!! I will NEVER shop from them again!!!

I just received my ‘I love Spock’ tshirt in the mail for my 4 year old niece. I was so excited for it but then the 4T ended up looking like it’d maybe fit my almost 2 year old niece. I called customer service and they were great. They told me I could keep the too small shirt and they’d send out a bigger size for free. I am a little bummed I’ll have to wait a week for it but I love Café Press and their tshirts. I’ll continue to buy from them in the future!

As far as customer service goes, this was great! I spoke with Ty about an order that never arrived. She did not think twice about making sure I got a replacement shipment. She checked my order status, saw that it did not arrive by its guaranteed day and proceeded to re-​ship the order with express delivery.
I can’t speak to quality, but the customer service was fantastic.

I received three t-​shirts, which one was not the size or cut I expected. I called to clarify and remedy the situation and they were more than helpful. I’m very pleased.

I ordered some buttons from CafePress for a get-​together I was having. They were delivered 3 days later than promised — and 1 day after my party, rendering them useless to me. I contacted CafePress via their internet customer service link. A day later I noticed the shipping charges had been credited to my account, but no one from CafePress made contact with me. I appreciate the gesture of refunding the shipping charges, but the fact still remains that I have a product that is useless to me since it didn’t arrive on time. More importantly — I would have liked someone to contact me regarding my complaint. I really like CafePress’ products, but doubt that I’ll order from them again because of the delayed shipping and lack of human response from them.

Excellent customer service. I ordered and paid through paypal. Thankfully I realized soon after that the address they were shipping to was wrong. I was able to call up and have it changed instantly.
That’s not a huge deal, but what I really appreciated was that my order arrived slightly smudged. It was a present for my attention-​to-​detail husband. I was able to call up and they sent me a new item, free of charge! Amazing!
Wil definitely be using them again.

I bought a shower curtain from this place,
it was a picture of a waterfall, it came out very blurry and did not look like the picture online.
I understand there is some picture quality loss when the picture
is printed on polyester cloth, I just didn’t think it would be this blurry. I would rate a 2 out of 10 on clarity.
It’s hard to tell that it is even a waterfall.
Other than that, the material quality seems ok.

I ordered a T shirt from CafePress when I washed it, it shrunk a lot, if I had of known it was a Haines T shirt would not of bought it, but anyway, they sent a new one in a bigger size, so when it does shrink it will fit.
They did not ask me to return the old shirt & the new one arrived today.
All in all I was impressed with how quick they were to help fix the problem, a very rare thing these days.

I purchased a tee shirt from café press and after I received it I noticed that it was not printed correctly. The screen print had several gaps in it — the shirt looked like it wasn’t properly pressed when it was printed and when the wrinkles were taken out of it the screen print tore in several places.
They gave me a refund on the tee shirt, but not the shipping. Why would I want to pay to have a defective item shipped to me? It was the only item I purchased, nothing else was shipped to me.
I called them and asked for a refund for the shipping cost and the rep I spoke to said she would put in a request for a refund for me. That was several months ago and I never received a refund for the shipping.
The shipping cost me $ 5.25. I consider it a $ 5 lesson not to purchase anything from them again.

I ordered a metal print from cafepress on 12/​13/​2013 and the item arrived damaged. On ¹²⁄₂₇ I contacted them and they said they would send me a reprint which was confirmed by email 12/​31/​2012. I then contacted Cafepress 9 days ago by email and no response then I contacted them 7 days ago and I was told it would be shipped in 1 or 2 days and I would get a tracking number. I have not received anything and when I contact customer service, all I get is a run around of no one knows where it is. This is by far one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had and will never do business with them again. Anyone who buys a living social deal or groupon for a metal print. The metal print they provide is much thinner than other companies.

The selection of products was amazing. I really enjoyed the witty shirts. I ordered 2 t-​shirts, a sweatshirt and an ornament. They came a day before I expected — which was very nice. The quality of the product though was very disappointing. The shirts were see through and small. The ornament was cheap too. For the price — I rather use Customink!

Worst. Company. Ever. Ever. Did I mention ever?
Ordered 4 election t-​shirts from them. Early October. Promised delivery on or before November 1. Didn’t actually get shirts until November 14. Contacted them to complain and ask about return options. They said to keep them and would issue the refund for $ 66. They issued refund only for one shirt in amount of roughly $ 16. Continued to claim it was a bank error on my part and that they could do nothing more. So incredibly frustrating. Obvious they are trying to defraud customers. Horrible. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! A total scam.

My dad and I had a great idea for a bumper sticker back in the summer of 07. In trying to figure out how we could turn that into a billion dollar business, he discovered a great company that does all the labor, printing, and fulfillment for you. That company is Café Press. Years later I’m not a billionaire, but I’m a super satisfied customer.
The Selling Side
If you have ideas, designs, or slogans that you want to make money off of, definitely consider this site. You design it, they stick it on whatever and do pretty much everything for you. Minimal effort on your part– you just have to promote it and give them a huge cut of your sales. It’s totally reasonable, though, and an easy, passive way to earn extra income, especially if you’re good. Like most sites like this (etsy being one of them), most people will not earn a significant amount of money, but some are able to generate a high enough volume of sales to actually do it for a living. I bow down to those people.
I’ve already mentioned the pros, so the cons are that the cost to the consumer is pretty high. This ensures that you get a good chunk of change from each sale, but your idea has to be pretty damn good, because t-​shirts cost your customer like 20 bucks. You don’t have a ton of control over pricing. Oh, another GOOD thing is the variety of products that you can sell on here is pretty astounding. Oh, and they make it super idiot-​friendly to design things– they even have a design widget where you can design things right on the site, or upload your design, of course.
The Buying Side
Being a customer of this website is great for multiple reasons. First, you can find really hilarious and unique shit on here that will make people think you are really funny and cool. Secondly, they have AMAZING customer service. A few months ago I ordered two t-​shirts from this website. The package was stolen off my porch (yaaay St. Louis). I contacted Café Press, and they sent me a replacement for FREE, even though it wasn’t even their fault. If that’s not great customer service, I don’t know what is. Seriously. The downside, in my opinion, is the price of items and the quality of items. The quality is pretty crappy. I mean not terrible, but when you’re paying over 20 bones for a tshirt, you expert it to be pretty spectacular. So just know that yeah, the stuff on here is pretty overpriced, it’s just the convenience you are paying for. I’ve ordered coffee travel mugs on here before, and they were pretty high quality, and a LOT of buttons, and most were decent quality. Also, the image quality is only going to be as good as the original image.
Be Your Own Customer
So one of the greatest things you can do on here is buy your own shit. It’s an expensive way to do it, but if you don’t have time or energy to go to a local print shop, or you only need one of something, this is the place to do it. You’ll pay more, but there are a lot of advantages to using this website. So let’s say you’re hosting a UYE and you want buttons with a picture of a St. Paul Sandwich, but nobody makes those. You pop on here, send them the picture, and voila, a week later you’ve got St. Paul Sandwich buttons. You can buy one or you can buy a hundred. I primarily use this website to buy my own shit, since I’m the only one who ever thinks my ideas are funny. Also, I like wearing a lot of flare. Would it be cheaper to just buy a button maker? Probably. Shit. I should do that.
I think some of the people who have had bad experiences at this company are people who waited until the absolute last minute. It’s a website, and they are super fast, but there is shipping time. Also, they are a huge company, there are sometimes mistakes on products. They stand behind their stuff, and they WILL reprint it if you don’t like it, but shit like that takes time. So just know that things aren’t going to be PERFECT, a lot of how your item comes out will be based on how well it was designed by the seller, and that CP WILL fix it, but that won’t help you if you ordered your item 2 days before you needed it.
Last piece of advice: Sign up for their mailing list. They have sales ALL THE TIME.

This was so disappointing because their website is great. Tons of great ideas, I could have gone nuts I wanted so much of their stuff. I ended up placing 2 large orders recently for myself and friends and unfortunately all of my shirts are being returned.
Here’s the situation:
I found the order accuracy and speed of delivery pretty good. They have a ton of designs to choose from, lots of variety etc. Their website is easy to navigate and it’s easy to place an order. Order confirmation and tracking information is sent immediately which is highly appreciated. After I placed an initial order for myself and some friends too I was pleased to receive a free shipping coupon, so I gathered some friend’s requests and I placed a second order the next day. Now. when the orders arrived it was a different story unfortunately.
First, the t-​shirt fabric is thin, cheap, see through and looks like it will come apart in 1 washing. It seems that Café Press has used the lowest quality t-​shirt material possible. On my first shirt, one of my designs came out a little blurry in an area. That same shirt with the blurry image had an image so small that you couldn’t even see it without getting right up close. The proportion of the size of the image to the shirt was skewed.
A second shirt had the placement of the design so low that it was right across my midsection with a huge «white» area across my chest.
My 3^rd and final shirt had the message not exactly centered which was mildly irritating, but if that was the only problem I may have kept it as it was minor. The big deal with this one (and the other 2) was that with EVERY single shirt, the sizing is wayyy off. It’s not just about needing to size up or down, but the sizing is completely disproportionate. I’m about a size 6’ish with a decent bust, but even the mediums were super tight across the chest and back, then a ton of extra material in the middle. If I would have gotten a large I would have had too much extra material in the middle. Sadly, all of my shirts are being returned.
Boo hoo. the designs are SO cute and the service is great. Quality leaves a lot to be desired unfortunately…
Note: I will update this once I do the return. At first glance it looks like it could be a little much a hassle, but maybe not. Stay tuned.
3÷16÷10 UPDATE:
First, my 2 friends tried on all of their shirts too. Unfortunately they needed to return theirs too due to inconsistent sizing and lack of stretch, image placement, etc. So the return was now ready to initiate.
The return process was extremely easy, straighforward and uncomplicated. I emailed Café Press to request a return form and within 1 day they emailed me back asking me to list the items I would be returning along with a brief reason why. I did that and the next day I got an email back saying that there would be no return necessary, just go ahead and keep all the shirts. I could not believe it. very odd. They told me that my credit card would be credited back within 3 – 5 business days, however it only took one day.
Fantastic customer service! If they would only upgrade their t-​shirt fabric to one of higher quality they’d be a perfect 10. These folks are SO nice. I do hope they change their product line a bit.
