Someone close to me recommended this place so my family and I came and checked it out. Friendly staff. Clean restaurant. My boyfriend and I split the crab boat combo, ordered it with lemon pepper with mild sauce. I personally didn’t want spice but the waitress said it had to come with it. I didn’t like being forced to get that because I enjoy the lemon pepper flavoring by itself so why ruin it with a spice. So you guys need to give a «no spice» option to your customers especially potential returning ones. Anyways we were supplied with the usual accouterments in opening the shell fish however it would have been nice to be offered bibs(which I later found out you have to ASK for them). Please make your customers aware of this as opening the shellfish can get messy. Anyways I love crab however the lemon pepper flavor tasted more like pepper and the spice overwhelmed the overall taste. I wasn’t impressed with the food. Thankfully the company was great. FYI their alcohol license has been suspended. So for those who like to have a drink, you’ll have to go elsewhere.

There was a Groupon for this place so I decided to try it out a couple days ago. I love these cajun boils. I’m in love with BC. I’ve yet to find another as good. But this one by far was the furthest from it. I ordered the«all of the above flavor», hottest they got with a pound of shrimp, potatoes, sausage & corn with a side of rice. I can handle heat, and this was pretty hot. But the flavors were odd. The sauce was so watery & clear. I wouldn’t even call it a sauce. They forgot to put in the sausage in my bag. So the waiter brings it out in a bowl, obviously microwaved. No bueno. All this to say, I was fairly disappointed in the flavors. Aside from forgetting my sausage, the service wasn’t bad. I guess I got my moneys worth. $ 12 for $ 20 worth of food on Groupon. Will I return… I don’t think so… Just kidding, I know I wont… I mean it wasn’t like horrible. I’m just a snob when it comes to these kind of places because BC has set such a high standard for me. Give it a shot though. It won’t hurt

I dont know were to start. Came on a monday night with my man There was only 2 people eating So I figured we were gonna get our food quick. The people that were already there took their food to go So me & my man were the only ones. I ordered a pound of shrimp & my man an order of Calm and shrimp pasta. Let me remind you we were the ONLY ones in there & our food took almost 30 minutes. When we got our food. My shrimp looked skimped af. & There was alot of little pieces of garlic on the sauce. My mans pasta Had so many. He did not want to eat it anymore. He almost threw his food up of how much garlic the pasta had. To top it off The server was complaining to the previous customers that he was tired and he wanted to go home. He wished they closed. Like really? Are you working or are you going to keep complaining abt working. we paid our bill & left within 30 minutes. Most likely we WONT be coming back here. Please fix your garlic measurements or something.

I have only been here twice and neither time was it enjoyable. They advertise oysters but they never seem to have any while the food lacks any quality flavor. Worst is that awful smell, it’s not the normal fishy smell I enjoy from a seafood restaurant but a grimy rancid smell that screams«food poisoning». Overall i say go to the seafood restaurant across the street in the mall. They got oysters and quality food.

So pretty much the lady was rude as hell when it came to my party and I using our coupon! We all sat down and told the woman(Asian lady) serving us that we all had individual coupons and she responded in a VERY disrespectful and rude tone claiming that we needed to move tables! We said we were on separate tabs but she started to raise her voice and proclaim that she won’t help us. Then we said we’ll take it to-go and she responded in a RUDE tone with,” fine!!! Go to the counter!“ I would NEVER come back to this place no matter how good the food is! I will be calling corporate!

Addicted? I say not. I’m sorry to have to say this but this place sucks butt. I came here with my family for Mother’s Day dinner and it was quite packed. We had reservations at 7pm but unfortunately our table wasn’t near ready for us at all. We had to wait about an extra 15 minutes or so for our table. You would think that there would be a lot of workers working on Mother’s Day because of the amount of people that would show up, but there were only 2 servers on the floor the entire time my family and I were there. 2 servers and about 15 tables… no one had gotten their food yet… uhh yikes. I really thought they would be ready for how much people they would get on Mother’s Day. My family and I finally got seated but we weren’t helped until waaaay later. When we decided what to get and it was A LOT(because we were pretty damn hungry) we found out that they were out of shrimp and crab. Really?! WOW. I was pretty much done with this place. The servers weren’t checking up on us, they were not friendly, and mostly they didn’t seem to care about us at all. I understand that it must be busy for them during Mother’s Day, but they should have prepared for this better. I forgot what we ended up ordering but I do remember that the food was just okay. Since a lot of their most popular items were gone we ended up eating a lot of fried seafood… not what we all wanted. We ended up spending a long time at this restaurant just because the service was pretty slow. The food itself was pretty meh too, so that was a let down. I just wish next time they have more servers out on the floor to help out. Though I do feel bad for those servers that were on the floor with so much pressure. The manager really needs to plan this better :( Overall, I will not be back at this place at all and do not recommend it to anyone. I hate to give 1 star reviews… but I am sorry to say I will not be a Crabaholic after eating at this restaurant.

Terrible! Ordered lemon pepper shrimp. Sauce was like water and extremely salty! Taste was not at all good, tasted soapy? Even the ranch for my fries was watered down. NOALCOHOL! They had their liquor license suspended. Go somewhere else like Backyard Bayou or just about any other place…

I should have known better from the reviews here which I did read before buying the Groupon. Fortunately I had this discount because otherwise and at these prices I would have felt like I’d been mugged for the total regular bill of twenty two bucks(used my twenty dollar Groupon bought for ten). Anyway, no problem with accepting the Groupon for my take out at the counter and it wasn’t busy, just a couple of other tables finishing up in the middle of the restaurant. I ordered the Fish & Chips, 2 piece + 2 deep fried shrimp and a crab cake. The gal brought it to the table where I was sitting and finished wrapping it up. This was done within the promised 15 minutes. Got home and it’s a lot of «food», but only the fries were tasty, the shrimp was just OK and the fish was meh, kinda ok while it was still warm but when it cooled down was downright nasty, Crabcake was par for the course. There is no way anything here is fresh, but it’s for sure what they serve has been dead long enough to need to be buried. I won’t be back, not even with a Groupon. This place definitely left a bad taste in my mouth. As a gift, I wouldn’t give this as a certificate to my enemy for fear they would come back after me to get even.

Absolutely DONOTEATHERE and DONOTBUY their GROUPON!!! You Have Been Warned… If your a person like me who is big on customer service then this place would grind your Gears to the 100th power… Mymai(If that was her real name) was very rude and abrasive with mother. A few of us came in after an event to order Take out(Everyone paying on their own) My mom had a groupon that was soon expiring and wanted to use it. We just so happen to come across another one for this business on groupon and decided to by one to use it. Mymai attitude changed when she saw that we wanted to use a groupon. She said we couldn’t used the groupon because we were considered a party of people. When we explained to her that we weren’t all together and that people are paying separately, She still insisted/assumed that we all were together. Then my mom asked for the manager and She lied and said there was no manager on duty but went into to talk to a lady that told Mymai to tell us that there was nothing they(Craboholic) could do. We requested for the«lady» in the back to come out but she refused to come out. then Mymai gave us a number to the San Jose resturant and said to ask for a manager there. and of course there was NOMANAGER. Then when my mom asked for the manager name, MyMai refused to give us his name. she said that the MANAGER do not want them to give his name to customers. After a long Back and forth conversation she finally told us the manager name, Toung. then proceeded and lied again and said she gave it to us when we 1st asked… wTF, Freaking liar. Outcome: all the ppl who bought their Groupon Canceled their order and my mom wrote to Groupon to get her money back… Yall save Yall self the trouble and Do NOTCOMEHERE… GO to ROCKINCRAWFISH the food is much better and the ppl are much nicer…

Well, I was hustle away to this place late at night at least for me. I thought it was pricey. But it was pretty good size portions. The quality seem to be there. Plus along with the freshness. Over all good food. My biggest surprize was that they allowed us to stay an hour past closing with no mention of it or being rushed. That’s a sign of a good eatery. So give this place a shot.

Ok so I’m a seafood addict… This place will surely make me relapse… Crab all crab!!! Omg… I had dungeonous, snow, king, corn and potato… The seasoning could have been a little better(more garlic, pepper and a little salt) but you can’t really mess up crab… Similar to Joe’s crab shack but more food… I’m sure I could have shared my bowl with someone because I had more than enough for brunch the next day… I’ll be back!

ATTENTIONCRABAHOLICOWNER: I am taking time to write this review because i want to help you. your restaurant is great to have here at hayward and we dont want it to fail. I brought my family to your business last friday Feb 27 apprx 600pm. Unreal experience Right when we stepped in the door from the asian guy wearing glasses who is the cashier/server. It appears that it is more of a disturbance to him when customers are entering your restaurant than a pleasure. — he got upset when i asked not to be seated in a both because my 2 year old might disturb other patrons. — he never came back to take our order, i needed to hail the female server to help us. — he never checked on us or asked if the food is okay. — he never came to refill our water cups. — i needed to stand up to pay my check and when i was at the cashier, — he scolded my 7 year old when my son touched the beads necklace by the cashier. — to put icing on the cake, he did not accept a valid groupon. Which appeared he have done in retaliation. — he never thank your customers when customers step out of the door. This asian guy with glasses is a disgrace to your business. Read all your failing Unilocal reviews. Your food is great however, your server will break you revenue. You will loose revenue because of this server. He is so amazing. I only tried their Seafood Pasta. It was good, a lot, and huge serving. 5 big shrimps, 6 clams, and 6 mussels, yes I counted it. Little salty but full of garlic flavor. Maybe I’ll come back here and have a taste of their crab.

My initial expectations weren’t too high because of the rating & reviews, but a friend of mine likes this place, so I gave it a try. This place is decent; something I’d expect from a hole in the wall & shouldn’t be compared to places like Joe’s Crab Shack. We tried the Giant Sampler, which can easily feed at least 3 people. I ordered the Sunset Combo with medium Lemon Pepper & my husband ordered the Crab Boat Combo with medium Cajun. It came out with a generous amount of food & the spiciness was enough. I couldn’t finish my bowl & asked for a box to take the rest home. We got there about 15 minutes after they opened on a Saturday & we were seated promptly & the server was friendly to us. The wait for our food wasn’t too long for us either & our water was being refilled whenever it was half full. By the time we left, the place got busier between the phone orders & walk-ins. I kind of felt bad for the 2 guys who were trying to manage the waves of customers. We also used the Groupon without any problems. The only gripe we had was the menu says sausage & we were expecting a whole sausage, not slices of sausage cut vertically. It is definitely not worth $.70 for a slice of extra sausage. We will be going here again whenever we have cravings for crab & seafood.

Groupon? NOTWORTHIT! OMG!!! Worst service, saltiest food. Jesus…: we asked for garlic butter and we got SALTEDFLAVOREDSALT Marinated in SODIUM and more SALT. My fiancè had an allergic reaction and this only happens when the seafood is not fresh or cooked right!!! Worst place in the bay. For $ 84 bill, this is a waste!!! We asked why it’s so salty and the guy said«because its Cajun». Really? Please do not insult Cajun cuisine. The lady stopped him and said«its spicy because is Lemon pepper thats why its spicy». Ok… Im now really confused. I am not new to the crab/shrimp game. I know what salty taste like. I have taste buds. And I am sure I will retain all the water from the saltiness of this food. Oh, instead of saying«sorry, let me give you a new one», the lady said«well next time, say you want plain». First of all, there will be no «next time». Second, please download the app«Diner Dash». This will help with the customer service and sitting customers. If you ask me «is everything ok?» Please wait for me to answer and not just walk away. My lips and my fingers are pruning as I type because of the sodium overdose. And No, we did not eat the food. And yes, I am dehydrated.
