I come here often for the donuts. Can’t beat a donut shop that’s opened 24⁄7! They always have a wide selection. Anddd it’s to die for when it’s fresh!

Only place in the area open 24 hours. The owner yelled at us and started slamming things loudly because we took longer than a minute to decide what donuts we wanted. We literally said we weren’t ready yet and she started yelling at us ‘I can’t stand around and wait for you! I have shit to do! order your donuts! hello?!’ Horrible service. She was completely disrespectful and out of pocket. We said our apologies and she continued to be rude– and she overcharged us $ 5 for three coffees for $ 1.75 and a $ 1 donut?! Never coming here again. If I wasn’t buying other people coffee, I would have walked out.

I love this place! They are always open late and their donuts are cheap! And always fresh. I love their croissants and their simple made sandwiches.

This is a gem in Hayward. 1, it’s open 24 hours. Secondly, they serve some pretty awesome donuts. I typically don’t like traditional donuts, but got some this time and it wasn’t overly fried with tons of oil. But still, it sustained a crunchy outer shell that was covered in just the right amount of glaze where it glimmers across the donut rather than be overly sugar-fiied. BUTIT’S A GREATDONUT. I am writing this review just coming home with a dozen. It’s 2 am and there was enough variety to get a really diverse dozen – sprinkles, chocolate with sprinkles, nuts, coconut, apple frits, traditional, buttermilk are among the choices my friends and I got. But there were also blueberry, crumb and even cinnamon. I wonder how the bars are and if they do raised donuts as well. Definitely will be returning here when my donut cravings come around.

They have really good apple fritters and plenty of choices of different coffee. There is really plenty of variety to choose from, if apple fritters aren’t your thing(though I can’t imagine why).

This was the only place still open at 2 in the morning on a Friday night, so my bf and I decided to stop by here to grab some donuts and maybe a small snack. First, we had trouble finding this place. And given the time we went, we were the only ones there. The donuts didn’t look appetizing so we skipped on that. I know it was the middle of the night, but if they’re going to be open 24 hours, they should at least keep decent looking donuts on the shelves. We ended up getting croissant sandwiches, which were mediocre at best. They were pretty inexpensive for such a large portion size though. One star for being opened 24 hours but I doubt I’d come here again. Maybe during the day and if I was in the neighborhood, I’d pop in to try one of their donuts.

UnilocalERS!!! You have TOTALLY let me down on your reviews of this place. Our favorite donut shop was closed late Saturday night and we were craving a donut driving home from a birthday party. Based on the reviews from Unilocal, we decided to swing into Donut Express. After paying for our donuts, I stepped to the side of the cash register and what I saw almost made me faint! There were two large plastic drums opened and labeled«Cream Cheese Filling.» I could see the cream cheese filling and one had blueberries in it. And what else did I see? The worker had placed a filthy, dirty wet rag right on top of the blueberry cream cheese. Yes… the filthy rag was sitting INTHE cream cheese!!! My husband asked me what was wrong and I called him over to show him. I was going to ask for a full refund, but my husband said to forget it and let’s get out of there. Needless to say… we didn’t eat our donuts!

Great place for a quick pick me up before work. Donuts are pretty decent and place is clean. The chocolate raised donuts are delish!

Four stars for the yummy doughnuts and for being open so late! As far as other reviewers saying they only accept cash, they now accept card(visa, MasterCard, etc). I didn’t give this a full five stars bc the lady who helped us was sooo rude. I guess it’s understandable because it was late when I went there, but still! Show some good customer service lady!

After visiting two other donut shops on a Sunday, my bf and I were extremely pleased to finally see this shop open with a variety of different kinds of donuts, and they also take card not just cash which some old reviews on Unilocal say they don’t. the donuts were fresh and were some of the best I’ve had. They are also open 24⁄7!!! 24⁄7OFTHEBESTDONUTS. Although the parking lot looks kinda run down from Jackson street and it might not be the best neighborhood at night, I’m sure you won’t have any problems getting in and out just for donuts. Also, it says winton on the address but that might seem a bit confusing since it’s off of Jackson street across from that tiny restaurant on the island in the middle of the street.

I love their doughnuts. It’s yummy and the people there are really nice. I usually go there on my way to work. I get orange/apple juice, a chocolate glazed doughnut.

No selection, stale donuts, really disappointing. This place used to be good, but everytime I go there now is just a let down. I give up on them. Worlds fair donuts on a st. Is totally better.

Twenty. Four. Hour. Donuts. !!! Need more be said? Okay, a few more words perhaps. I’ve never been here during normal donut-eating hours. I’ve only been to Donut Express during late-night, snack-acquiring missions. So, I’ve actually never had a fresh-out-the-fryer donut here(I wonder how they are). Still, the cooked-earlier variety are still pretty decent – much better than what you’ll find at a grocery store or quick mart type place. And, they’re open 24 hours! Oh, also, the neighborhood is a little less than wholesome late at night. So, my advice is to get your donuts and then get moving.

The Google map on donut express is wrong. D.E. is close to Jackson & Grand ave, not near the 880 freeway. Donut is in a runned down shopping center. it’s outside sign is faded. Inside, a man and a woman are busy cooking and prepping sandiwches as they are ordered. didn’t see any premade ones menu: donuts, bagels, crossaints, crossaint sammies, coffee, etc coffee: farmers, passed. eats: –glazed old fashioned(.80) cake like, almost silky –glazed french crueller(1) consistency of cream puff, amazing –couple free donuts not complaining, holes not as good as donuts… crumbs: –cheap, fresh eats, donut good sized. –not express but good service asap.

This place is pretty crazy. You walk in and you don’t expect much from the ambiance. Its a crazy plethora a artwork on the wall. From Asian pictures and models, to pictures of doughnuts just taped on. Matter of fact, you actually don’t get much from the façade either. Driving by, this wouldn’t be the place people would think to stop, but think again. This place has really good doughnuts! and the best part of it all, its open 24 hours. And for those 24 hours, there always someone back there making doughnuts, so you know they are fresh. I went in at 12am one time and it was kind of a weird group of people in there. There was a bunch of thugs just sitting there and there was one guy with more then a dozen daily derby lotto tickets on his table. But other then that, this place is really good. I’m coming back soon.

this place is always open. always good. Takes card. Has a variety of drinks. and they make some bomb ass ham and cheese croissants!!! for the non pork eaters you can get turkey =) me and my girls went out drinking last Friday. I hadn’t eaten much that whole day except lunch. So by 230 am I was hungry… Ok maybe a little drunk hungry. They are poppin out fresh donuts at alllll hours. We walked in ordered our sandwiches, then look over and see the batch of fresh donut holes coming straight out of the oil. We asked for a dozen on the spot. They were so nice and more than happy to dip them in glaze and bag them up for us. You have noooo idea just how good they were =)

I Love this place. Probably one of top favorite donut places to go to thats local. They are convenient, fairly priced and they are open late! I love that because I always crave them at night and not the morning. The shop is in a nice spot next to a laundry mat and it has its own parking lot. They also have indoor seating in case you want to stay and eat, but taking them to go is always my favorite. They have so many donuts to choose from, it gets difficult. I always get my favorite though: Old Fashioned Maple. I have never bit into one that tasted old. They always taste fresh and doughy. The people here are nice, but not super friendly. They just try to focus on doing their job and serving you. Either way, I’m always coming back for my late night tasty donut obsession.

To start 2011 off on the right foot at work I decided donuts for the group would be good karma. This place is on my way in and I stopped based on some pretty good Unilocal reviews. A dozen is $ 8 — with some types being more(jelly-filled for example, I think). The box was very full with some donut holes thrown in for good measure — nice, and thanks. The place is a donut DIVE and reminds me the kinds of places in movies that there are hold ups and shootings. But the donuts were MIGHTY tasty. I’d say half my office thanked me, half did not and I only got one complaint for bringing them in. Oh well.

I almost hate to say this but they’re just as good as Stans in San Jose… maybe better. The glaze they use is definitely superior… and they have good coffee too. But the best part is that since i’m a night owl, they’re open 24⁄7 and just across the street from me. They do take CC!

Donuts 24⁄7??? Eff yeah! This place brings back memories. My family used to frequent this place a lot when I was a kid(almost 20 yrs ago… dayam!). And I remember it was always yummy. Donuts that don’t taste stale at 2 am? Inconceivable! Finally had a chance to return here after so many years and it’s still 24⁄7 and it’s still tasty. A dozen donuts comes to ’round $ 7. Not too shabby. I was disappointed by the crumb donut. Maybe they had an off nite, but it just wasn’t as soft and fell apart more than a crumb donut should. Good variety of donuts(cinnamon sugar and blueberry cake, to name a few), a small seating area to the side, friendly staff, and… oh yeah, did I mention it’s 24⁄7!!! Eff yeah! :D
